bro i defeat it with just hunter bow and few raw meat. i use horse as a decoy. stay far , Sprint multiple times to avoid laser attack and you defeat it. but this method take more time than this video
The laser attack does almost 200 damage because of the massive burning effect while his spinning attack does 1. I feel like this is bugged or unintentional. Dodging is tough because of lag.
What i'd do; build stone walls (4 or 5 walls, about 2 tall heights & some spacing about 2 to 3 grids) just outside the base seal build limit area. Use the wall to hide from his eye beam then re-engage. Also, if you already tame 3 horses, you can use them as bait, so now you have 4-6 baits if you include your follower(s) Side notes: when wearing a +4 bronze armor his hammer & spin attack kinda tickles, its his laser & empty stamina that kills.
Lasers unavoidable unless you're behind a rock already when he starts it. Cheapest attack in the game, they need to fix it. On mobile, the laser goes right through anything and always hits you for big damage.

Or just hide behind rocks

Destroy his sphere weapon with a blunt weapon to stun him longer.
I made him follow me to the closest and biggest tree and everytime he is lasering go behind the tree yo should be fine:)
