great watch this week mate, could feel your stress levels going up in the vid, hope you have had a great weekend with the family, have a safe and stress free week my friend.
U nailed it my man proper class that was sketchy mate haha as truckers we don't get the respect we deserve and I'm glad your shining a bright light on us to show just how hard the trade is bcos it's bloody hard the job is and the shit we have to put up with on an hourly basis plus being underpaid for a highly skilled craft that's been around for years and years and is mentally hard and at times physically demanding too.top job pal KEEP ON TRUCKIN
Great video, great trip up country, fantastic scenery and wonderful to see how emotional you can get Chris! Thanks for sharing the journey with us - here’s to another one!
great vid cj nice run up to scotland.. the flybynite truck are some fleet. one of there drivers has a few videos made aswell.. see an irish firm HMT shipping. been a while sense i spotted one .. hope you feeling ok this week..
Apart from regular runs to Forfar and Glasgow in a Van, in later years i drove to various towns and cities in Scotland (and elsewhere in the UK) in a "Bedford TL" rigid 40ft, and around 15.6' tall delivering furniture from a manufacturer in Northampton. Damn cold in the winter, No overnight Cab Heater and No proper Bed either!! (thank god for the occasional Bunkhouse in some (scarce) Truck stops back then (1987). I wish it were now back then with better trucks and facilities. Had to retire from Commercial driving for health reasons 17 years ago but had a good run at it since 1973 till 2001.
Nice one buddy ...... kingstables road remember it well in my youth lots of drunk times was had there .... and the wife works just round the corner drive safe buddy and well done on the spinny on Lothian road 👊🏻💩
Chris. If you want to go somewhere in Scotland with your Mrs. Try the village inn opposite loch long. Stunning views and such a beautiful peaceful place. The village Inn Loch Long Shore Road Arrochar G83 7AX
Nice vid. Those idiots who tricked you to get out are probably the same type of people who drive slow and speed up. Or flash you as if there is something Wong with truck / load and there isn’t. And to the far extreme brack checkers. They where probably that drunk they saw you’re tyres where flat🤡. You done the right thing in that situation. And there will always be ignorant people trapped in there little world. Yet again another good vid. I should be starting my new tramping job tomorrow, out with a trainer for a week, doing milk and farm feed tanker work. Keep the vids up and drive safe.
Good point, but I wouldn’t worry at least it wasn’t and you are aware of the possibility for next time.. and also helps other drivers like my self be more aware of the possibility’s of that sort of situation.
luke sent me over also id sub last night when he was live and you where in the chat and there was another youtuber called bigclivedotcom he does the lights for the show
As for the two "Pranksters" They want to try imagining what it's like, driving a 40 Tonne Artic through a strange city. With all the hazards. Pedestrians, cyclists, Bus Lanes with cameras. Waiting to fine anyone who strays into that lane. It can be very stressful, and requires 100% concentration at all times. So being pranked by some popped up goon, is the last thing you need!
You defo came to Edinburgh at the wrong time with an artic into the city centre with the fringe being on. I enjoy the fringe just not driving around when it's on.
Hiya, I had metal frames for large new student accommodation blocks and a hotel being built just after the bridge. The Edinburgh fringe festival was on that weekend so could've been anyone..... welcome to the channel buddy
Welcome to Edinburgh...see the sights, meet some tourists and the obvious 'Neds and Gadgies' that have nothing better to do than take the pi55 because...at that time of the day they are themselves 'pi55ed up'...TBH could be in any city these days...Been a few Vloggers heading up to Scotland that way recently.......thats where I live so each time I see it it makes me feel good. Will be heading that way in a weeks time, goodbye to Marbella after 10 years and back to driving trucks....
Advising of a defect could be a ploy to get the driver to dismount then steal the truck while the driver is on the nearside. Temporarily disable the vehicle when not in the cab.
Tbh I had no major issues with them but with every company there are good and bad points.... I was enjoying the work and enjoying be able to I directed promote their/our services to the supermarket supply chain.
CJACEY-TRUCKS always good to hear it from a good source, most jobs have employees who grow complacent over a longer time served. Im hoping I can find a class 2 job and start my trucking career
You'll see I have many previous videos when I worked with them. The starting times were very early am I must add but the work itself was straight forward enough....
Would HATE to take an artic through the centre of Edinburgh this time of year (hell I don't like taking the car that central - Live Balerno). Edinburgh (especially the centre) is very narrow and due to buildings either side the roads can't (easily, never say never) be widened So when every show and its cousin have an artic /coach, festival time gets completely mental during the festival (not that sane on 'quiet' days). postimg.cc/image/hjhev0gfr/ (NSFW if you don't use an adblocker.)
Probably all right, for a man of the world (like yourself), there is nothing dodgy about the actual image (basically just a map), but the image hosting site (as its free) has lots of adverts on it and they tend to be of the "these women want to meet you" type with lots of piccies of scantily clad women. I use an adblocker which allows white listing so you get the adverts from sites you want to support but they block others that can make surfing such a ****
@@steamfreak1 I know that road out of Edinburgh like the back of my hand and even up from England to Scotland. You had parts of the road showing before you got to other bits if you get what I mean.
@@davie2606 ahh yes I thought that's how you meant. I did happen to mix it up a little bit to suit the music... he ce the evening rainbow shots early in previous vlogs timelapse too. Hope it didn't spoil it in anyway and thanks for the comment... 🦃💩
Excellent video Chris as usual.

great watch this week mate, could feel your stress levels going up in the vid, hope you have had a great weekend with the family, have a safe and stress free week my friend.
Thank you Mick. A rather up, down and round emotional week it was and a very tough weekend trying to recuperate from it to be honest
Enjoyed those two blogs, Chris. Thanks for posting. We don't get so many foreign visitors in Wolverhampton like they do up in Edinburgh 😄
I bet we do....

What a trip! Hope something like that pops up for me, looks a breeze compared to London lol.
My experience of it was basically like driving in London, minus everyone's aggression!

As pointed out by another viewer, I should've killed the engine before checking just on case it was a diversion tactic
Good point, but I wouldn’t worry at least it wasn’t and you are aware of the possibility for next time.. and also helps other drivers like my self be more aware of the possibility’s of that sort of situation.
11:30 sat at the lights - were the studs in the road really changing colour or was it a trick of the video?
You know I didn't notice them flashing when I was there so maybe twas a strange reaction from the camera
CJACEY-TRUCKS the studs have reflectors in them so when the camera picked them up they looked like they were changing colours 👊🏻💩
There you go holmes, I found a local to help us 😂🦃💩
What's the music you use on the time lapse ?....really like it !

Yeah, fortunately I've a little patience other than to kick off at them for it.
@@steamfreak1 Keep calm mate, just treat it as part of life's rich tapestry. Lol.
