Picked up a new 572 on a black Friday sale for $850, came with a 24" bar, ordered a 28" and some skip tooth chain for it. A real pleasure to cut with. Keep thinking I should do some videos. Have a few vintage saws that folks might like to see.
Very good comparison my friend. My experience compared between this 2 saw, stihl plastic cover more hard/stronger than husky if fall but husky engine is more durability and endurance. The crankshaft of new stihl model not so good for daily use ,sorry my bad english
What's the best chain for a Husqvarna 562xp with a 28" bar? I know the factory Husqvarna X cut is good, but I hear it's a pain to sharpen the first time due to the gullet shape. My new bar will be here Monday.
572 heavier saw almost in the 461 class weight... I’d rather reach for 461 with that argument and have more power after mods if that was the route .... otherwise 462 for the weight is un matched
I discovered that the biggest issue with that unit was the tank vent not be able to keep up with fuel supply. After modding the tank vent, the saw no longer has any serious issues. I believe that the vent was causing the saw to run too lean....and that in turn was causing bearing failures and other issues.
I bought 3 cans of their gas for $21 to get the extended warranty from 2 years..to FIVE, plus Husqvarna recognizes military, police, fire including retirees 10% discount so the same size saw was ALREADY a few hundred less (husky), and then I saved almost another $100 more! Bought a 572xp with a full comp and chisel 28". I needed it for white Oak, and all of the different hardwoods we have in S.E. New England. So far I Love it!
I own a 462, and have run the 572 the 462 is the faster saw. The 500-i will dust them both. I am not sure about long-term use on either but have owned the 500-i for a while and it really woke up after about 4-5 tanks and then I put an egan straight shot muffler on the saw and it is a whole new animal!!!!!
Both of these saws are very comparable. Either would be an excellent saw to own. I have run stihls most of my life so I do like the 462 but the 572 is also a great saw and totally got me interested in huskys. Think it comes down which dealer takes care of you better because both saws are great.
Have both, the 462 is all noise in my opinion the 572 gets argued over when its time to cut. Reduced weight is always rewarding, but not at the sacrifice of power or longevity. Endurance of the machine is most important to me, can't be replacing/rebuilding 1000 plus dollar powerheads all the time
Sooo..I'm guessing you feel the husky stands the test of time better with use? Just curious. My first professional chainsaw is a 261 Husky that I bought 22 years ago! It's cut hundreds of cords of wood, and still kicks ass! Only thing I've ever done to it is replaced gas lines, fuel filter, spark plug.. that's it! Now I bought a 572xp, with a 28" and hope I have the same luck. I do love and respect stihl chainsaws as well, but haven't owned one long enough to know how they last in the long run. They do cut fast, and have a little more low end grunt when getting into harder stuff. Either way..both great saws!
Good video . Can't go wrong with either of those saws . For me it's the 462 , got an awesome dealer 5 miles down the road . Husky is pretty scarce in my area .
I’ve run a 462 and 572 a good bit equally and I prefer the 572 simply because it’s been trouble free where the 462 hasn’t. I love both but I believe the 572 will be the longer lasting saw.
I thought I had seen this before . After reading your comment I went back and looked…..and sure enough it’s on many of the videos comparing the saws. Almost like it’s copy and pasted.
Does anyone have the times Because I can't jump back and forth between my timer on my phone and watching this video. My desktop isn't working at the moment, otherwise I would have watched it on that and then use the stopwatch on my phone. I love your videos but wish somebody was there to officially time your runs, and share the results. Even if you time them after and then show the results that would work. Thanks for the videos! Any thoughts on running square filled chains?
I will try and include this in future videos. In my experience it seems as tho the 572 cuts a bit faster. I have not done square file but I plan on getting into that.
@@sawsurgeon haha that's some funny shit there. I myself have a 362 and 395 as well. They are both amazing and have a definite purpose. I just recently about two months now purchased a 572 and it has now been my everyday saw. Yes it has a little more weight than the 461. But in my opinion it has a bit more of that dig in bar buried low end grunt. It also seems more comfortable less vibe and tingle finger at the end of the day. don't get me wrong both great saws. Although if you ask preference between 395 and 661 there is no comparison of rather use my 362 in big timber than pick up a 661. 395 hands down
Nice Vid Nick! Always fun to get a little Friendly Competition going! Much like Sid, I truly don't have a preference. I've had awesome saws from both brands and I've seen some pretty pathetic examples from both as well. Either of these would likely be a suitable replacement for my 272XP which admittedly is getting a little long in the tooth! Blessings Brother! Tedd
I've got 2 huskies and 5 stihls, absolutely love the 572 it's one hungry beaver. Can't keep up with the 076 in 36"+ wood though for some funny reason haha.
The 572 has is my first husqvarna and it has been impressive so far. I really don't mind the extra weight to me it gives me a little peace of mind that the goodies on the inside are going to hold up a little longer.
own 500 i and 572 ,, Like them both ,, Rate the Husky build quality but that does come with weight ,, Husky responds well to "free flowing" the muffler ..
I have to say the 462 over the 572 but not by much I fall timber all day with a 576xp and it's a great saw, I do have a 461 and I'm not that impressed, but the 462 has raised an eye brow, good videos nick keep em coming
Hey bud. Where can I send billy ray something for the channel? I’d like to have the PO Box or address. If you could email me advancedlawnllc @gmail Thank you buddy. I appreciate you
That was a good video. I haven't run enough different saws to know if I have a preference. I own two husqvarnas and an echo. I like them about the same.
*Have been using this for almost **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend a year.. occasional home use.. + cleanup of several older ash trees. Cuts better than original 16" chain that came with my ms170*
I would like to buy a 462 but my dad won’t let me because he doesn’t like supporting companies that are wholly owned by one rich family. He also won’t let me shop at Aldi for the same reason.
For a real comparison, you need to use the exact same bar and chain on them. They both take the same bar.. Take the 25, run both. Take the 28, run both. Then if you wanna get crazy, buy a 32 or 36, and run them again. And that doesnt look like a skip chain, i think your saw experience is very low. Keep your hands on the handle bud. Plus make sure your using a good square ground full chizel chain, youll never round file a tooth again i swear by it.
The first bar was a 25 with a brand new stihl standard chain just because it was on the saw - the 28’s were brand new bars with brand new archer chain cut from same roll and surely full skip. I have yet to try square ground. Thanks for the comment shane

Make some videos! Vintage saws are making a comeback. That 572 wont let you down it will pull a 28 with full house or skip no problem
Make a video. 👍👍👍
I LIKE POWER SAWS . AND NICK I CAN WATCH YOU , I WAS MISSING YOUR VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP THE CONTENT ROLLIN' ,,LOLOLOL LOVE YA
I 2ND THAT!! Keep them vids coming friend!! I appreciate them
Thanks NPTV! I’ve been wanting to see them two lined up against each other.
Yea buddy thats right now we can do some porting and see what happens 😁😁😁
I concur 🤙

I remember boxing your bars up and helping get them sent out to you. Good to see them in use. Both great saws!
I've never had a preference but after watching Buckin use the huskys I would go with them thanks for the videos man
572 is a all around great saw
Roger it really is. The more I run them side by side the husky likes to eat. Appreciate your comment

very interesting. what do you run now.
Ummm..am I missing something? We are talking about two different saws, so "that unit" has me wondering witch one. Just curious
I’ve always been partial to Stihl’s. I’ve ran them for years.
I ran 462 of another guys last summer on a job and was very impressed. That 572 comes with twice the warranty though
The 572 is a machine for sure. The more I run it the more i like it. She just got a full wrap handle ;) thanks for being here

Stihl doesn’t seem to bog down like the husky does when you bring the log up
to the power head and dog in
Oh man in love with both saws. Definitely may get husq with same 28 inch bar
They both are great saws. Two of my favorites actually. Thanks for watching sorry for the delay - Happy New Year
Sthil bar is 1.5 mm?
I own a 462, and have run the 572 the 462 is the faster saw. The 500-i will dust them both. Getting them to breathe is key. I have a 500i also. great saw. Will do some experiments soon. Thanks for watching and for your comment
572 definitely cut quite a bit faster. Thanks for the video!
I agree both great saws.. but the 572 is a bit faster in my experience.
Which one is better and why ? I don't get it ...
Both of these saws are very comparable. Either would be an excellent saw to own. I have run stihls most of my life so I do like the 462 but the 572 is also a great saw and totally got me interested in huskys. Think it comes down which dealer takes care of you better because both saws are great.
Awesome Vid Nick. Great to see these two saws go head to head stock. Both great saws and I run the 462 here in OZ. All I'll say is "She Cuts Eh".....
i have both these saws, love them both!!!
Great saws i agree

It looked like the Stihl held higher rpm through the cut.
Chips be flyin 👍💛🔥
Let your saw idle a bit more before shutting them down buddy.
Nothing will happen if sudden killswitch lol
The cheap homestead mechanic, what's the difference lmfao
I think I'd have to give the edge to the Stihl on that log, it didn't seem to bog as much and the pressure you had seemed pretty equal.
Both great saws. 462 is lighter and more powerful. XP has better filtration & and is slightly more fuel efficient.
The 462 is one of my favorite saws overall a great machine. Thanks!!
Awesome video! Was very enjoyable 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you my friend.
I've got the 462 and love it!! Great saw
I too think the 462 is a great all around saw the 572 is as well
Good video . Can't go wrong with either of those saws . For me it's the 462 , got an awesome dealer 5 miles down the road . Husky is pretty scarce in my area .
We have support for both here.. It's been an experience running them side by side. Will probably have another video soon.
Yeah buddy! Nice video. All the way around. Nice editing touches!
Thats awesome nix same my village for cutting the tress
Stihl 462👍
It is a great all around saw
Ms462 and 572 xp?Thank you
Anytime
I like my 460 better I love the look better than 462 and I don't think the 460 needed to be made any lighter. It's a shame the new saws are too modern
That’s not the feedback I’m getting from the professionals, they love the lighter weight of the 462
I’ve run a 462 and 572 a good bit equally and I prefer the 572 simply because it’s been trouble free where the 462 hasn’t. I love both but I believe the 572 will be the longer lasting saw.
I have been watching a lot of chainsaw reviews and this exact comment has came up in the videos. Are you bot or Husky sales rep?

It was close, I'd say the husqvarna. But its so close. I own both so impartial.
Great video brother.
Stay safe and stay positive ❤
Hey Sid, so you're one of 'Those Guys'... Me too! I love my MS362 and my 395XP. They both serve me very well. Bless'ns to ya! Tedd
The fact that the Stihl is 10% lighter makes it the winner imo.

I've seen the 462 beat the 573 in other videos, but they were using shorter bars
Seem like the 572 performs better with longer 28inch + bars.
(Dave)
Im thinking a test with a few different bars. May have to set that up. Sorry for the delay Dave
I almost forgot I wasn't watching the man himself buckin watching this video great stuff!

Right on Thanks for watching!!
The skip tooth let's the saw keep the RPM up. Awesome job.
Right on
572xp is a monster
Nice cutting there Nick! I am not impartial love the Husky!! Lol But to be fair I have never owned a Stihl. Thanks for sharing
I was looking at the 572 but got scared and kept with stihl
Both great saws. I run mostly stihl as well but the husky is impressive and pulls a bit faster.
They both eat wood. That's what is important. 👍
I know right ;))
@@NickPixelTV It's kind of like the age old Chevy vs Ford argument. I have a Stihl 029 and a Husky 357XP. I personally like the Husky better. 👍
Brutha Nick... awesome saws....I gotta get me some of those light weight bars from Hopper!!hope you have a great day dude 👍👊💚🌳💚
Nice video Nick thanks!
Fred thank you!!

Both seem to be running good,,,Husky sounds a little lean but I am the last person you should listen to on power saw tuning!😛 loving the channel!
Thanks john!!
They both computer controlled on the carb settings... the both run a bit on the lean side, part of the design
572 all the way.
Cual es el nombre del árbol amigó?? Saludos desde Chile Patagonia 👏👏👏

Were gonna be having some fun with some saws here soon my friend ;)
Nice video, Nick! That was fun. I’d love to see how a porting or muffler mod would change the performance of the Husky. 👍🏼
I'll stay with my opened up 461 thanks. More low end power in Aussie hardwood.
I gotta open mine up i think. I ran my buddies 660 for most of the day yesterday it’s unreal.
An opened up 572 has heaps of low-end torque
Nothin beats a Stihl!!!
That 462 is better all around in my opinion. Both are great however.
Thank you. I honestly like either or they both rip
Power to Tha Saw.....
Nice one brother. That 462 rips, sounds similar to my 500i
Macca you got the 500iii crazy i tried but very few have theM yet
NickPixelTV 500i, 7901 and an 084 being rebuilt. You’ll love running it when you get your hands on one
500i is a really good saw love it😉🤗
I would have to agree she cuts ;)
@@NickPixelTV oh yeah she does. They’re wicked, I’d buy another one for sure 😂 I would love an injected 661
Wow sharp chainsaw Sir 👍
Thanks 👍
Both great saws but one is more technically advanced and one has more old school. I'll take old school its simplistic.
You don’t say which is which.
Hey. Nick. Hope you and the wife are well. Been enjoying the content.

STIHL Looked a tad stronger
462 all day 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽☠
The 462 is a machine and its light

I got the 572xp on the way
You will like it for sure
Now those are serious saws, and look hungry for wood!
A Nick bro looks like the gun show not powersaws 😂😂😂😂
LoL!
Nice full lip. Obviously you are highly educated.
thanks
