Thank you for sharing . We Ethiopians 🇪🇹 also use clay pot & we call it '' Shekila dist '' . Yes it's organic and it's healthy and also make foods more tastier we can also use it for any kind of dishes , stew& soup. It's magical & making it yummy. It's 100% better than stainless steel pots .
I just thought I'd drop in to let you know that I made Vietnamese Pho for dinner using your beef bone broth as the stock base. HOLY SMOKES!! What a game changer!! It was unbelievably delicious. It''s been a rainy humid day here in England and it was the perfect dinner for that sort of weather. I just wanted to say 'thank you so much'-- your recipes are so versatile and can turn other things I've been cooking with regularity into vastly improved masterpieces. Thank you Helen, once again, for rocking my world! If you're going to sell me cookware, well, it's the final frontier. I am ready for the ttukbaegi upgrade in my life! That bubbling sound is what I need in my life, who knew? Also the vessels ability to keep food hot so I can enjoy a more leisurely lunch/dinner is very appealing too. H-Mart here I come. 🍜😋🤩
Yes, u r absolutely correct Rob! I have seen local non-Korean restaurants serve their stews in TtukBaeGi. The presentation with the bubbling sound and keeping the stew hot while eating, was awesome!
I love getting my food in these pots. I literally got one and a stone pot for Christmas 2023. Love Korean food and trust me I needed this video. Thank you for the information and you got a new subscriber ❤❤❤❤
I’ve had mine for years and I love making steamed eggs in them. They’re just as precious as cast iron pans! By the way Helen, you look absolutely beautiful 😍 ❤
I bought one of these for my Korean son in law. After seeing how it works and how the soup bubbles in the bowl (which I love). I bought myself one and I truly love it. I want to get other sizes. Thank you for this video! ❤
Great video, Helen! We even take these bowls with use when we go camping. Your right. Everything is even better when we cook with these bowls. They are as important to me as my Dutch ovens.👍
I have two of these Ttukbaegi bowls, one large and one medium. I love mine, it has definitely elevated my Korean dishes. One question I have is using them to cook dishes in something like a Trager smoker, that uses indirect heat & smoke to cook. Would one of the large bowls work, or is there another Korean dish better suited for cooking in a smoker?
So jelly that u have a Trager smoker. Usually, the smoking process is not common in Korean cuisine. For smoking, I would use a flatter gadget than a bowl (I guess it also depends on what u r smoking). I have the Big Green Egg. Personally, I would not use my TtukBaeGi in my smoker because it is too precious. (FYI - TtukBaeGi can withstand the heat of the smoker.). If I had to smoke something more soft/liquid, I would use a smoking tray or cast iron skillet.
Hi, I just bought a Korean clay pot. And I didn’t do any seasoning like other videos told you to do. I thought just wash with soap and ready to use. And when I use I see the smoke or maybe steam cam out from the pot itself is that normal?

Hi! Ive been wanting one of these for so long! I have no Korean stores even close to me 😢. I wanted to ask you, if i purchase one can i cook other stuff in it, like chicken noodle soup, or other dishes that aren't Korean? Thank you!
I would totally buy the kids for them! My kids, my kids and husband broke them. The kids is really pretty and keeps the food warm and also steams it, too
Hi Ruby. If u look at the description box of this video, you’ll see the products links for ttukbaegi. Or find a big Korean supermarket and go to the houseware section.
Hi Richard! I don’t know about other Asian cuisine using induction heat, but Koreans have been using induction heat, using earthenware and thick cast iron pots.

That was my very same question,

‘They so CA-ute!!’!
Cooked many things in this pot. It is now and forever my go to cooking pot. I used it camping on low burning coals. It is the best!

With the bowls being open porous I would be concerned about the smoke penetrating the pot and “tainting” the flavours of future, none smoked dishes

Are cheolpan also useful for homes? If yes, a video about it would be nice :)

can you put it in microwave oven for a quick heat up?

@@soldierlewis85 Hi 👋 You have to open the links and it will give you the size options
Simple soap is ok?
I Love eating out of those, unfortunately l have yet to buy a couple of them, they are a bit pricey online…
If u can get to a big Korean market, it might be slightly less. TtukBaeGi is an investment but u’ll use it for a long time.
Can you cook rice in Ttukbaegi Clay Pot?
I wish I could have a few of them 😅
🙏
Are all tlhe Korean clay pots advertised through your link Made in Korea, and not Made in China?
What size mostly used for hejanguek? That used in restaurant in korea?thank you.
Hi, that depends on the restaurant. Some use the medium size and some use the large size, but fill it about half way.
I bought one and never really understands or know how to use it. Thinking it a bit heavy to the hands
i have one , just wondering if it works on electric glass top range? used to have gas range before and it is the best pot for korean food.
Works on electric range fine🙌
Hi, I just bought a Korean clay pot. And I didn’t do any seasoning like other videos told you to do. I thought just wash with soap and ready to use. And when I use I see the smoke or maybe steam cam out from the pot itself is that normal?
Thank you so much for the info. I am looking for a clay pot for Korean soup. I saw ceramic bowls in the Korean supermarket. Are these ceramic bowls can be used as same as the one you shown in the video?
Since I can’t see what ceramic bowls u r referring to, I can’t help. But whatever u r buying, ask if it for stove top use.
Can be used on an electric stove??
Yes 👍
Thank you very much. I recently bought OnggiJonggi Earthware Clay Pot. Is it different from Ttukbaegi? In what way? Or it is the same? Thanks.
The clay pot ongoing is used for storage/fermentation. Ttukbaegi is used for stove top use.
For which ovens is this? I have a normal and an induction oven. Doesn’t seem to be usable in this case
This is mainly used on stove top, both gas and electric. But u can also bake with it in the oven, too.
Hi! Ive been wanting one of these for so long! I have no Korean stores even close to me 😢. I wanted to ask you, if i purchase one can i cook other stuff in it, like chicken noodle soup, or other dishes that aren't Korean? Thank you!
Hi Natalie👋. Of course, you can use ur to cook other non-Korean foods as well🙏
Can we use it on induction
I just can’t figure out: clay pot or granite??
Can i use the clay pot on electric stove top
I use it on electric stove with no problems
Hello I have question about may korean clay pot after i use it let it dry then the next i will use there is mold tell what is the reason thank you
Sorry, I have no idea why there is mold. If the surface is cleaned throughly and it is dry, there should be moisture for mold to grow on🤷♀️
are these ideals for electric stove tops?
Yes
Do you buy lids for them or is that an overkill?
I would totally buy the kids for them! My kids, my kids and husband broke them. The kids is really pretty and keeps the food warm and also steams it, too

Totally depends on how much u r making at once. Medium or large🤷♀️
