@TheVerge. This meeting looks incredibly interesting. I myself am not an orthodox Jew, but a Muslim. My religion has nothing directly to do with me being interested in living for a while without internet. I'm actually interested in it, because I would like to know how it affects my daily life. Also work on my social skills more and utilize my capacities instead of relying on the internet a lot of times. Perhaps during Ramadan. Thanks for this video and good luck to my Jewish brothers.
I'm Muslim and I agree with them. Internet is spread nudity my msg for all people please save your children. I destroy my life's 9 years I'm masturbation addict.
I've actually been more conscious of my internet use since Paul started this experiment, and the effects have been great. I try not to "waste" my time on things that aren't relevant to me and it's actually given me a lot more time to do other things!
I miss Verge videos... especially ones like this that focus on the intersection of culture and tech. Wish these were not so expensive and hosted on the Verge's website.
The guy from 0:48 reminds me of when you're screwed for an exam question and you're just trying to make sentences out of key words you've heard somewhere.
@GingerAtheist you could not be further from the truth. Orthodox Jews fully embrace technology. Many are even innovators in cyber security and programming. They are not wanting to be in control of their children's internet use to stop them from becoming atheists...that is an asinine assumption you have made based on your own experience. They are wanting to be in control of it as any good parent should, limiting time spent, blocking mature content, etc. Your comment was very ignorant.
Did you use a steady cam for some of those shots? If so, what kind? Overall a well done piece, thanks and keep them coming. (Btw. Would be cool if you provided credits, music, etc)
my parents told me they trust me, but i shouldnt trust myself (so i cant get a laptop) im like WTF does that mean of course i trust myself thats why i know i want a laptop
All religion is ridiculous, no matter what you call the invisible fairy in the sky, it isn't there and if it is its the most violent and sadistic bastard of all, humanity working together has greater morality of any God.
We used a Canon 16-35mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, and 135mm 2.0.

These videos keep getting better and better, no lie. Every bit on the last On The Verge was fascinating, and so is this.
May G-d bless your sincerity and grant you success in serving him properly; From an Orthodox Jew who appreciates your post.

Hardest thing about no internet is that he's going to have to get someone to print out XKCD and make them say the image text.
Agreed! Their video impresses time and time again.
For me, taking away the Internet is taking away transparency
That was nuts. Great video. Does anyone know the song that starts at 3:30 to the end?
What lenses were used to film this?
great piece...
Shalom. Thank you. And you're very much welcome!
Really incredible work. I can't believe they were talking about Paul and he happened to be standing RIGHT THERE! HAHA! Amazing!
Thoughtful and interesting.

Good Guys
See, spend a month off the internet and learn to read Asian languages!
I think it actually would be better for their children if technology influenced them rather than staying like ... this...
or not cutting up their genitals

It's funny how many ridiculously stupid ideologies come from religion
As an atheist, and regular reader of r/atheism, i agree. People like you are just as bad, however.
