Leanne, my cubby buddy at Storm, told me a cool story about this tournament. That week the Toyota dealership put up a new Celica ($30k car at the time) for anyone that shot a 300. Leanne shot the first 300 of the tournament in match play and was super excited because the car was worth way more than the payout for the tournament. The next day Patty Ann shot one too. The dealership didn't think more than 1 person would bowl a 300 so they made them bowl a 1 game match for the car right before the TV show. Leanne didn't win the roll-off unfortunately. Total bummer the car should have been hers!!!!
@@mathewhorodner2000 If I recall properly, she was having too many issues with the slippery approaches. Since her game is dependent on speed, it's much more difficult to have solid footing and develop leverage. She had the same issue in Albuquerque back in 1990 when she lost to Leanne Barrette from the top seed.
Patty Ann got screwed because Paula Vidad didn’t know the rules. Once PA finished the third frame on lane 13 the second frame on had to count. Patty knew she was being cheated and it threw her concentration off. Paula Vidad had no business being tournament director if she didn’t know the fundamental rules of bowling.

That was a cool story Chad. Hope all's well with you
It seems to be a USA norm: Only show 97% of the match / don't announce the final score / adverts. are king.
Kim Couture did bowl extremely well in the Alexandria Louisiana Open
I don't blame Patty Ann for being upset. Of course, Kim, was bowling well.
Patty Ann didn't notice that the 8 pin was missing
The title match was exciting and close
Kim couture got the 9 pins she needed to win the Alexandria Louisiana open
Andrew Phillips 🖕🏼
You’re annoying.
Aye. This is my home center
I take it this center is still in business eh? I take it that the center looks different than it did 30 years ago.
@@irishpogi very different it was 48 lanes now it’s down to 40

Do you have any lpbt tournaments from prime network?
I may be wrong but is that another TV show where Patty Ann shoots an incomplete rack? I swear you uploaded another show where she did that.
+dduval59 someone else posted the championship match and the semi final match a while back but not the other matches
@@irishpogi wow, it's rare to see Lisa Wagner bowl that poorly

Couture was pretty locked in from the word go.
incomplete rack . . . . has that ever happened before on a telecast (men or women), not including this one?
Short hair girl got lucky
As far as I'm aware, no women have ever made the 7-10 split on TV?
Nope
