    It's funny this with trying to articulate the transition from imperative to functional. All I remember about it, and it was pretty recently, is that it was hard, so hard! I could feel the relief when I was in an imperative environment and just knew how I should do things. And it remained like that for very long. And now I don't even know what the struggle was about. The closest I get is when I come across some old code of mine and just sigh. I can still understand my imperative code, but there is so much stuff there. Rewriting it functionally strips it down to the essentials. And this is just staying in JavaScript. Will try to port some code to Clojure using squint and see what happens then.
