    Lets be honest Gooners are a special team , , They had been criticized for not having a striker, Then they went on 8 Games scoring more than 30 goals in the process
    They play Porto away, got blamed for not wanting to concede
    Came back home penetrated through a tough low block to score the much needed goal to equalise.
    Yester they played the best team who beat Bayern/Madrid/Inter and won everything , the game was at Etihad , now the defended well and get blamed for that.
    BUT no one talk about how they are able to defend when needed and attack when needed, we talking about a team that score more goals and conceded few - remember that!
    I concluded that Pundits will never stop criticising this team ,, they wish this was Lampard/Gerard who is doing this , the fact that its Mikel not seating well with Punditry Englishmen

    🤯🤯🤯

    • @IPIRIEY
      @IPIRIEY 8 місяців тому +6

      He would have had to first touch one time it for the opportunity. Once he mistouches the first touch its too late with how solid city are. 100% arteta was fuming he missed it, but to be fair it was a very hard play to make because you have to either have a flawless first touch at full speed then quickly lead the pass, or you have to one time it at full speed. The only thing that was a little upsetting is that Trossard has been known to make a play that difficult throughout the season and even a few pivotal moments in the CL that required his brilliance. In a game with such few chances, that one moment gets amplified.

    People on social media calling out Arsenal with names like "haram football". I don't really blame them. Yes, it was tactical and planned ahead... but it's also very un-Arsenal (at least the Arsenal most people are used to).
    And yet, we can all agree that this is another step in Arsenal's growing evolution. We all know that Arteta's men can play free-flowing, high press suffocating, attractive "halal" football. But to get everyone onboard to switch 180 degrees and play park-the-bus, concede-20-fouls, put-you-to-sleep "haram" is also somewhat impressive.

There will be adjustments along the way and also depends on how the opponents operate and where you play (home/away). When City had controlled possession in Arsenal's half, Arsenal defended in a low-block system. This means that the distance between Arsenal's defensive lines and their goalkeeper was kept at a minimal. This consequently meant that one of Haaland's main strengths which is running in behind from Kdb's through balls was largely cut-out. I'd have preferred Pep to have taken out Haaland and either moved Foden in that false 9 role or brought in Alvarez to play that role. The combination of Haaland and KDB was simply not working against a well-organized and defensive-minded Arsenal. Had Pep brought in Alvarez or moved Foden to the middle, it would have allowed City to play quick passing combinations to open up Arsenal.
    Additionally, Haaland offers very little without the ball. He does not press as intensely as his other City forwards.

    The salty city fans in the comments is hilarious. The fact that they are the first side in over 3 years to stop city scoring at home in the premier league and nearly every team have came to city and essentially parked the bus and played on the counter for 3+ years except maybe liverpool, and not one of them including liverpool stopped city from scoring shows how tactically and defensively good this Arsenal team are. Whether you hate Arsenal or not people need to accept the fact that this Arsenal team will be challenging for the league for the next 5 years plus as much as i hate to admit this myself as a Chelsea fan. They are still going to get better and are still one of the youngest teams in the league. Plus thier wage bill each season currently is far less than city's and liverpool's and even our Chelsea's team has a higher wage bill. I didn't think Arteta was any good until last season and unfortunately for us rivals he is the real deal and so are Arsenal hate it or love it. I want liverpool to win it but honestly any of them still can. As all 3 teams will drop points somewhere along the way. Peace out guys.

      @@thehellyousay fear is what happened last season. What happened yesterday was respecting your opponent, stopping them and not losing. Stopping them from scoring for the first time in 57 home games. Taking 4 points off the best team in the world with the best manager ever doesn’t happen by playing with fear.

      @@bussyness1 if you watched Arsenal regularly you’d know the whole team defends from the front to the back. What’s amusing to me is how angry everyone is that Arsenal didn’t get battered yesterday.

    No one had any problems/complaints at all when for the past decade (and more) teams have been parking the bus and kicking the life out of Arsenal... now the Gunners do it once and everyone is crying foul...
