I love the humility and gratitude of this Bashiru man; especially the way he acknowledged his elders and those late people who impacted his life. His resemblance and mannerism like PMB is startling. Late DR SAB must have looked down on him with pride, if that does truly happen.

Basheer Ajani was and still is my friend, the Ila Orogun indigene. There was no mobile phone when we were! He once visited me in ILORIN when he came seeing his friend Aminu Adam.We observed Zuh'r together. So simple he was.He gave us free enterance at a play of Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister at Ogbomosho town hall.
He was mostly truthful in the interview. However, he created a sense that for the period of about 8 years that he spent in the band, he gained and left with virtually nothing. To me, he sounded like someone who was never appreciative. You don't speak ill of your humble beginning because you moved to someone else, who was paying you much better. The interview was generally nice. It tells us more of how forgiving and compassionate SAB was
Nice one from Alh. Bashir Ajani Erin…..wish you all the best sir. @ The presenter, I have listened to all the interviews on entertainer on your platform . Thanks for educating us more on our legendary entertainer.
Very nice interview. Well done Alhaji Bashir buy I see him as a person that despite being loyal where he works, he can move at anytime without considering his humble beginning. We have ppl like that. They are with you when things are good but any shake up, they move!
I am seriously awaiting the interview for Ayinde Ganiyu Babalola (aka Professor). I am very much interested in the interpretation of the messages through his talking drum (Iya Ilu). Nigbati TV should please look for him. Thank you.
@@MaisunaMYahyaPhd Yes. He was recruited from UI by the late Kamoru Ayanshola to become a member of the Fuji Lord band. I so much appreciate his gentle, low-key, soft, and good quality percussion rich in Yorùbá proverbs and idioms. Thanks @MaisunaMYahyaPhd 👍👌
It could be a bit difficult because he's been in the US since early 2000s. He left Barry on a friendly note after securing appointment in a US University. His exit from the band was ceremonious. Maybe they could interview him virtually. He's a drum don in the US school.
His father was one of the most respected musicians in igbominaland This drummer must have been taught this art by the father of Simoni who was his father lead drummer
Hope he was treated and paid well during his years with Late Dr Sikiru Ayinde? I believe all Fuji musicians has not been treating their band members fairly including barrister himself.
Great show, Ejire. Nigbati, I really enjoyed your UA-cam show. However, when will you begin interviewing Kollington Ayinla band members? We also need to learn a lot about this band. Thank you.
Aside Ayanshola he's the next drummer I like his pattern when he was with Dr Sikiru Ayinde barrister , the next is Oyadolu Waidi, then Alhaji Deroju, Tunde Ballinga
If Alhaji Ayansola Kamoru had lived much longer, this man would have abandoned the SAB band and joined Ayansola and Sawaba in 1986. He confessed that even when Ayansola left the band, he would always go to his house and divulge the secrets and the happenings of Fuji chamber to him. That is dangerous. If he had felt so passionate about Ayansola's predicament, why didn't he follow him?

Very Very bad to hear that these guys are not making money, this happen too in Ebenezer Obey's band in which those band members are not really making money.
They possibly don't save money or don't explore opportunity. Barrister took all his boys around the world. Why can't they leverage on the exposure and little money they made
@RALPHSAL GROUP you are very right most of them lives above means or not saving, why can't they resign if they are not making enough money. No one put guns to their heads.
The money can't be enough for the many band members we see on stage. They are expected to make use of the connection their popularity garnered and help themselves. Also, as one of the band members said, some of them lived extravagant life's with 3 wives and concubines. So someone can't take you on several trips abroad, pay you weekly, give you party clothes always and still manage your resources for you.
Educate Ajani and your guess the importance of promoting yoruba culture. While coming for interview of this nature, let them dress formal in yoruba attire and not the way he appear with hausa fulani hat on a different outfits.
Ejire I love you you are one of the best presenter
Thanks for the encouragement
Infact this man is very intelligent
Thanks for watching!
