Driving an old car with a mechanical clutch is definitely a different experience than anything modern with a hydraulic clutch. Especially, if it has a touchy race clutch. You did great! All you need is practice, practice practice.
best video yet, liv i had the biggest smile on my face when you were going through the gears with some throttle down, just put you back in the seat. thats a old school gaser for sure. you get an A+ for driving today, and thanks to your boy friend and hank for a really cool video, i really like watching videos of your adventures together.
Thank you for the video. We also have a 56 with a small block Chevy, muncie 4 speed that my wife of 45 years has never been able to drive because of health issues. I'm fortunate to have her! Bucket seats from 2009 Silverado without the headrest worked for me.
Hey you did great driving Hank you looked very happy running it through the gears , you and Danny are a great couple seems like he enjoys helping you with the videos and assisting you driving different rides and what to expect from the ride as always a great video from you guys.. thank you
I miss Arizona in the winter season and doing exactly what you're doing but I was doing it 31 years ago and watching you two are bringing back some great memories.
Same here :only the memory card goes back 50 years, a lot of fun tearing up those open roads, spending the weekend at the salt and verde rivers. Putting rhe beer in the river ro keep it cool, camping and eating pan fried fish
You had me smiling from ear to ear. You are just as cute as could be and your BF is so super cool too. Love how he messes with you about the cop...I think he did this stunt before too right? Great job on driving the 66 year old! Perhaps not very precise but the rawness is really appealing to us gear heads. Not much sounds better than a small block Chevy with a little lumpy cam thru open headers running thru a Muncie! No modern car can provide this kind of sensation.
Cuz so many are being brainwashed into thinking the world will be destroyed in 13 years because we drive cars. If we want to keep our cars, we need to fight these people.
Hank is awesome, reminds me of a 55 Chevy I rode in when I was 19. Thanks for bringing back that memory Liv. Oh by the way, I believe you are capable of driving anything you put your mind to including 4 speeds. I am a Corvette guy who has modified and maintains two old ones. A 1978 C3 and a 1988 C4 and I put Tremec 5 speeds in each. When you got it on with Hank it brought tears to my eyes the rest of the video including now. Thanks again
I grew up on that vintage of cars. That's when you're connected to the road. The clutch looked pretty stiff, but she seemed to handle it well, despite a bit of jerkiness in her shifts. Thanks for sharing this experience!
Cool 56 I Like Old Hank. Good Job. I was waiting for Danny to do a back flip into the back lol. I have been in that spot with no seat and went for a ride
You were smiling from ear to ear. You handled that 4 speed and clutch great. Impressed that you could push that heavy clutch pedal in with your small stature. Nice job young lady.
She did really well, Beautiful young woman...you were very good with encouraging her....few guys I knew at that age would have made her such a partner...Bravo to you both!
Do you have a 302 in that Z28? I have a original short block DZ from a wrecked 1969 Z! I have it in my 66ss Chevelle but about to change the engine to a 12 to 1 sb 327! Let me know if you are interested?
I like her enthusiasm her big smile she is a real go get,r .her and her husband have a real cool connection .they interact great.good luck to both of them in everything that they do together in the future.sending my regards from san diego ca.
Good job in the 56! Brought back many memories, I had a couple 55’s & a 57’ Chevy in high school.😊. Oh yeah, I was born in 56. Sweet car, and gal too!❤
You couldn't help smiling and laughing , it was so fun ! They not only shift diff. they drive like a old car. Good job, my sister wanted to drive stick , like a VW bug , back in 73, Dad came home with a 69 Cobra Jet Torino, every stop sign on a incline she left 50' of rubber.
Great job Liv. Anyone who has only driven a hydraulic clutch standard, has no clue how much harder it is to drive a mechanical clutch car. Especially when it's a big, old, heavy car, with a high performance engine, high performance clutch and high performance transmission. And it has no power steering or power brakes. Check out my thumbnail. I think you and your boyfriend will like my 57 Chevy 605hp, raised solid axle Gasser. It makes your car sound quiet as a mouse. She is a blast to drive, but definitely not for the faint of heart. But I love her. Thanks for the video, I thoroughly enjoyed it
At 76 years old I've been goofing with hot rods since I was 15...my sole remaining car is a 56 150 utility sedan built in Oakland CA for Pacific Bell Telephone used in Sonoma County for 10 years and sold at auction to the shop that seviced since 1956 and I bought from them in 1979...still have it and take it to local show in Las Vegas. It's now powered by an L-78 BBC that came out of a 69 Chevelle and backed by a six speed and 69 Chevelle 12 bolt posi with old school Alston Ladder bars. Painted black with blue flames and has a simple black interior with plywood and carpet for a backseat..fixed glass and no window cranks...my 44 year old son played back there when he was a baby!
I learned how to drive in a 63 plymouth with a 3 on a tree when I was 7 years old, mind you it had a slanted straight 6, but still, I don't think many people could say that. Not even 30 year olds could do that today
You did GREAT ! Brought me back to around 1972 or 3 when a buddy Paul (who'd since passed away) came to my mom & dad's place with 67 Chevelle 396 four speed with the teenager who owned it all excited saying, "You HAVE to drive this car!" I drove it around, saying "What's the big deal?" It was then Paul told me I was taking off in 3rd gear! Car had a 4.88 gear! THE GOOD: I could Steer it by changing gears! THE BAD; It was totally stock except for the 4.88's no good tires, cam, intake or headers! The young fellow asked me to drive it at Detroit Dragway that weekend, I told him "NO, it has nothing in the support a full pass at a drag strip." They took it there anyway with another driver and just like I told him...BOOM! It sat in his yard till he sold it. (would've been a Great candidate for a hot roller cam small block!) :) BTW; I'll be 69 years old next month
If Brittany Force can do it - you can do it ! Now this is the fun of the old days. I remember at age 11 sitting on a pillow and driving my Grandpa's 57 chevy down country roads. Mom had an old 50 Plymouth with a 3 speed column shifter - those were fun.
My wife was 5ft 4 at 115 lbs , she drove my straight axle 396 , 4 spd 55 gasser all the time , she passed , im 60 and still own and drive it . Built it in votech in 1978
Can't every beautiful female say that they drove a 1956 Chevy but she can say that lol. And she done a fine job nomatter what others say, she done great especially in a hotrod...
An old car have personalities of there own, takes a little time to know what she does & don't like ! Same with my beautiful wife ! Mommas happy, daddy's happy ! 👍✌
Cool girl. No gaudy jewelry and not all full of tattoos! She likes Hot Rods and too! What a keeper! Yah car is cool too.
Love her smile when she crank that 56 up, she’s a keeper ! 🇺🇸
I too had a smile on my face watching this video - it not too often to see such a lovely lady driving a hot car! Great job guys! 👍
Driving an old car with a mechanical clutch is definitely a different experience than anything modern with a hydraulic clutch. Especially, if it has a touchy race clutch. You did great! All you need is practice, practice practice.
Not to mention it most likely dosnt have power steering or power brakes
best video yet, liv i had the biggest smile on my face when you were going through the gears with some throttle down, just put you back in the seat. thats a old school gaser for sure. you get an A+ for driving today, and thanks to your boy friend and hank for a really cool video, i really like watching videos of your adventures together.
Thank you so much for watching, Gary! 😊
You're a natural and the internet loves you!
That thing is a beast - the clutch looks like it's sprung like a bear trap
Thank you for the video. We also have a 56 with a small block Chevy, muncie 4 speed that my wife of 45 years has never been able to drive because of health issues. I'm fortunate to have her! Bucket seats from 2009 Silverado without the headrest worked for me.

You're smiles are contagious! Loved this video killer shifting putting the pedal down!
Putting rhe beer in the river ro keep it cool, camping and eating pan fried fish
yeah Liv there we go now thats what I'm talking about
You did fine! The first time you rock an old school 4spd is an experience you NEVER forget. Congrats
You had me smiling from ear to ear. You are just as cute as could be and your BF is so super cool too. Love how he messes with you about the cop...I think he did this stunt before too right? thanks for sharing the fun
your smiles say it all
i like her smile when she starts it up awesome !
Liv is a amazing Hot looking girl that loves classic cars and you don’t see that often in today’s women
Exactly mate
More today then when I was young.
That is exactly what I am looking for, I am finding out they are hard to find.
Cuz so many are being brainwashed into thinking the world will be destroyed in 13 years because we drive cars. If we want to keep our cars, we need to fight these people.
Hey Liv, I guess you showed Hank who's the BOSS. That was cool to get right back in it and whip him. Your awesome. Take care and be safe.
You are making a MONSTER! and WOW just wow. tuff to pick who is the luckiest in this Video. great day for all.
Never give up! Nice driving!
Just another bad ass Chevy!!! Dont worry you got it , just keep on throwing those gears !
Wow! That car firing up and idling was music👍
God bless you both for having a wonderful life together
You look like you had so much fun driving the car. Awesome video as usual. Keep them coming. Peace!
Cool 56 I Like Old Hank. Good Job. I was waiting for Danny to do a back flip into the back lol. I have been in that spot with no seat and went for a ride
I admire your love for classic hot rods. I’ve been working on hotrods for over 40 years.
Thank you for making my day, you guys are awesome
Great job 👍👌💪🇺🇸 from Alabama 🇺🇸 watching 👍
Great to see a smile on a young person's face banging gears. I still get one in my 57 doing the same !
You go girl. Sounds good.
Super Hottt girl and a cool car. Life just does not get any better than this.
You were smiling from ear to ear. You handled that 4 speed and clutch great. Impressed that you could push that heavy clutch pedal in with your small stature. Nice job young lady.

I love watching you and your look on your face running the gears, his face is priceless also knowing that you are going to enjoy the ride! 😉👍💪
I would rather have that really Fun 56, than any car at the 2022 Sema Show!!
Fantastic car!!!! 💯
Back in the states!
Liv's reaction to the bang shift - priceless!
Never give up. 1956 is my favorite car . I drove 3 of them back in the 60 s
Do you have a 302 in that Z28? I have a original short block DZ from a wrecked 1969 Z! I have it in my 66ss Chevelle but about to change the engine to a 12 to 1 sb 327! Let me know if you are interested?

You did great and the smile says it all!!!
Your doing better than most, he should be proud and so should you.
Love to see you guys driving around where I grew up, I live in Georgia now but make my way to SoCal every once and a while

You are so cute changing gears. You obviously really love this stuff!
Good job in the 56! Brought back many memories, I had a couple 55’s & a 57’ Chevy in high school.😊. Oh yeah, I was born in 56. Sweet car, and gal too!❤
Car sounds amazing
Yes sir it was a great time in hot rodding, elegant and simple, but they run good.
My dad’s name was Hank. What a name for a car! Love it!
Love the glass fuel filter setup you’re running from the fuel pump. Looks clean.
I love the cam. Wonder what cam you're using?
Y'all need to make a short clip of her bangin gears and rock'n you back'nforth, that was too damn funny. 😆
Great job Liv. Anyone who has only driven a hydraulic clutch standard, has no clue how much harder it is to drive a mechanical clutch car. Manual steering! It was fun

Love the shifting and pedal work! Nice job!
Nice ride love the wheels and the piecrusts! And beautiful young lady!!
She is excited and she had fun, all that matters. You will be a pro and it won't take you long.
If Brittany Force can do it - you can do it !
Now this is the fun of the old days. I remember at age 11 sitting on a pillow and driving my Grandpa's 57 chevy down country roads. Mom had an old 50 Plymouth with a 3 speed column shifter - those were fun.

The engine. In. The. 57. Chvey. Sounds amazing. Mind. Totally. Blown😊😊😊😊😊
She did a great job for the first time driving an old school hotrod.
That ash tray mod is hilarious! Good on you for finding your happiness and strength. Vincere timorem!
Great job 👍🏽 you always feel better driving a 4 speed 😅
Can't every beautiful female say that they drove a 1956 Chevy but she can say that lol. And she done a fine job nomatter what others say, she done great especially in a hotrod...
Very nice to see you so happy 😊
You & Hank rock! Open headers, duh! That '56 is very old school cool, I dig it 😜
omg i love the sound, so classic 😍🔊
An old car have personalities of there own, takes a little time to know what she does & don't like ! Same with my beautiful wife ! Mommas happy, daddy's happy ! 👍✌
Liv you were a pro by the end of the video. I'm thinking a Tremec for the Tempest.
You're only 5'4" (not really that short) but that deep steering wheel is keeping your legs away from the pedals.
You did a great job Liv
Cool car use to have one just like it even the same color. she actually did good the more she drives something like this the better she gets.
Awesome job beautiful car.
Drivers awesome to
Awesome video. 😎👏👍🙌🔥🇨🇱🏴☠️🏁
I was so f****** cool when you bang second gear loved it
A better seat and you would feel so much better more comfortable for sure nice job
Sounds exactly like my 75 pickup, great rigs.
@8:23 I almost fell off my dang chair !!!!!!!!!!..😱 NICE job 👍
Another badass ride
Sure wish i get my girl to drive mine, she is terrified of it...
