    What is the efficiency? For NMOS Vt=3V, minimum voltage across drain source is 3V. That means NMOS burn a lot of power which dwarf the power saving from syncronous convertor. If solar panel output is under 17.5V, it is better off connect directly from solar panel to battery, or using a PMOS and Schottky diode instead.

    Mosfet as a load switch is fine. You just have to give a proper voltage to it's gate.

      Correct.... giving less voltage creates resistance due to which it heats up. use Logic Mosfet for output loading switching

    3:In your schematic diagram given in the description I think diode D1 should be reversed.
    4:I tried simulating your entire circuit in Proteus it didn't work.
    5:Can you please share the exact code what you used

    Can we add a switch to inverter to cut off battery charging from mains. I would like to convert my normal inverter to solar. So I want to make the inverter not to charge batteries from mains(only from solar when it is available), but mains should be byepass through inverter without charging the battery.
    Please help

      Don’t worry this MPPT solar charging controller already has auto auto cut off battery charging process, that is why I’m used a relay, just you need to attached inverter in lode terminal,

    But now im stuck in between programming part, where after uploading program there is no indication of parameters and it simply blank.
    I geuss it's may be because of that lcd library

    Using diode at output defeats the purpose of using a synchronous buck converter, the resistance and capacitor is used for smoothing out those high peaks the loss is in milli watts, and the output MOSFET is act as a switch it's won't heat up much you just need to use higher gate voltage (atleast higher than 10volt).

    Hello friend.nice build .I have problem with my mppt controller which I bought for my sister on her bonsai tree farm.but the controller doesn’t charge anymore.can’t see any obvious faults like burnt components.any ideas what can check.the fuse ok.the lcd screen ok an shows input and output.it’s cpk2420 model off eBay.tried to contact seller.Adam Welch off UA-cam tested one and said good model.that’s why I bought.wondering what would stop it from charging battery.would appreciate any help.thanks.steve in uk 😀

    What components do U need for 50 AMP / 2-phase / ESP32 / 250 V IN / 12 - 100 V OUT MPPT ? Can U make such a thing with P&O, FOCV, ICC, ANN, FLCIC, RSC, RSMCA algos for LFP, NMC, NCA, Pb batteries ?

      You only need one algorithm, P&O is mostly used because it's easy to implement. Tech Builder has one you can check him out.

      @@PavolFilek I don't have a video, buck mppts are more common and easy to use, by changing the power direction of a buck won't work, it's a different circuit, works differently than a buck converter, you can always build one but you need to know what you are doing.

      @@CroftGaming1 But I tested first FET + DIODE, then FET + FET and it works, if U power BUCK backwards, LOW SIDE FET is as input and HIGH SIDE FET is as output, ACS758 + ACS758 + ADS1115, and U have 50 + 50 AMPS -2-phase BOOST.

      @@PavolFilek well the circuit looks the same if you use a buck converter as reverse, but now your input became output and the output became your input so you need to change your feedback accordingly, also now the low side MOSFET is the main switch and the side is the diode, you need to change the pwm according to that.

    Hi. nice video. I am probably going to try and make this one. One question thought. You explain MPPT as controling the duty cycle to the battery based on the bataries charge. But MPPT should be based and the best voltage / current efficency the solar panel can manage? Should there not be PWM on both sides? Is solar in and battery out?
