The thing is, nobody from the North-East of England (my adopted homeland), thinks the “real” Bob Mortimer is weird. He’s just a nice lad from the Boro who’s become a national treasure. When he told the tale about walking from Crimdon Dene caravan park to Newcastle at midnight (to watch “Tommy” at the ABC) I instantly felt it was true. The little details were spot-on (totally accurate).
Laughed and cried all the way through John Simm's one. I guess to play an insane man like The Master you have to have done some insane things yourself as well! The fact that it just kept escalating was disturbing.
Did you notice that after Lee called him out on it, David was absolutely incapable of continuing with incorrect grammar? He had to rephrase it so that "who" was the grammatically correct word to use. It was great. Am I to understand that WILTY has been cancelled or discontinued? I'm American and I've become obsessed with this and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. These people are brilliant!!
