Snowy Owls on the Farm

Two Snowy Owl females on a local farm near Ottawa, Ontario.
NOTE - I was going to throw out this footage because the image quality was so degraded by the extreme atmospheric turbulence resulting from the 1000-meter shooting distance. However, my wife really liked the video because it showed these young female Snowies just doing their thing without any human interference. She also liked the visual effects of the air turbulence because to her it looks dream-like and artistic. I said "OK' and I found some nice music and added a little narration and Voila!
I wasn't planning on shooting this video, it just happened. I was standing on a country road scanning the fields through my 1800mm super-telephoto lens combination looking for Snowy Owls, when I spotted this one standing in some dried grass. Suddenly she popped up and took off so I hit the record button and decided to track her as long as I could. I was amazed that the camera never lost focus the entire time she circled the property and landed again. I was even more amazed when I went to Google maps and measured the distance and saw that it was slightly more than 1000 meters, which is 3,280 feet!
