  • I spent 2017/18 academic as an exchange student at the National University of Singapore. This video explains what it was REALLY like. I talk about the campus, the dorms, activities I did, and a truthful Q&A about life at NUS that includes:
    1) How did I make friends?
    2) How did I afford to go on exchange?
    3) Which accommodation is best at NUS?
    4) How was the food in Singapore?
    5) Did I do a placement at NUS?
    6) How was the work load at NUS?

    Great answers.
Going on exchange there for 22/23 - just had an email saying they're refurbishing a lot of the accommodation on-campus and that there's very limited rooms available. Dreading finding something off-campus.

Good luck finding something! A few of my friends found off-campus accommodation and it all worked out ok.

Hey why did you say to avoid PGP? Currently looking to apply for housing now and I’ve heard that’s a popular option but would like to hear why you thought this way :)

Hi! This was a few years ago now so maybe they've had some renovations since I was there. I didn't personally see the accomodation but lots of my friends said the rooms weren't well maintained (issues with mould, broken utilities) and my colleagues pre-warned me it was quite far from the students union and other social places on campus. It also apparently didn't have as much of a community vibe compared to the other accomodations. Again, all indirect experience but I loved my time at RC4 and so glad I stayed there!

What kinda clothes should you pack? I’m going over in January

Very light stuff! It’s tropical weather so shorts, vest tops, flip flops. The aircon inside though is very cold so do take a jumper. Don’t forget swim stuff as great pool on campus and beaches around the city!

Thanks for the quick reply😊. Would you recommend bring a lot of jeans or is it more shorts weather?

@@thewindmilf4977 I wore light jeans going out at night but too hot for me during the day! I wore shorts pretty much everywhere in the day.

How to apply for exchange programme?

    • @no_ordinary_biologist
      @no_ordinary_biologist  2 роки тому +1

In my experience, my degree already included a compulsory ‘year abroad’ to study at a partner university which replaced my second year. I would suggest starting by asking your university if they offer any exchange programmes within your department. You can also apply to external summer programmes - the best place to find them would be specific university websites. All application information for those specific programmes should be on their websites. Hope that helps!

This is really so cool. You should most definitely collab with Bad Friends. Their pranks really reminds me of the Vlog Squad mixed with Faze Clan. They're the funniest group of friends on UA-cam and they drink on UA-cam.
You should definitely see their channel out and give the boys a like! 👉 #COVIDFreeBadFriends
