I can confirm that D-1 Spec QR (wheel side) will fit the Simagic Alpha Mini out of the box. Without modifications.

Just to confirm, as an early adopter of the cammus wheel base, mine shipped to me with that wire in the cavity you pointed out, and a small rubber bung to hold it in place.

Im about to buy tge cammus base with gt1 rim. But im Going to use a xero play qr. My question, is it possible, like with simagic, to use the gt1 buttonbox/shifter as a usb device like third party rims? If not its going to be useless lol

The Cammus button plate only connects through the steering column connection.
