I was going to get something similar to this for my Sister-in-law for Christmas. I found them in the clearance section for a little less than $13. I am not sure if it was a bug net one but it was definitely a hammock similar in size to the one you have. I saw them at Walmart two days ago. Today they were completely out. So I ended up getting my sister-in-law a fleece hammock set that also comes with a blanket, pillow and travel bag. I found three boxes left in the clearance section at my Walmart for a little less than $18. My mom said she would definitely like something like that for her house. I drew my sister-in-law’s name for the siblings gift exchange.
Just picked one up. My brother gave me a hammock so I only needed something like this to make a decent set-up 👍 Edit: on a side note, I think I'm going to like having the mosquito net and hammock separate. Makes it easier to replace either one if I needed to.
If I'm not mistaken that's the ( no seeum ) bug net . The holes in it are much smaller . The net of a mosquito net . There is a teeny tiny bug called a no-seeum that is smaller than a mosquito . that will go through a mosquito net and still get you . And they will seriously cause you to itch badly by the thousands . At one of that meant different than a regular mosquito .
I don't sleep that good either, hammock or tent. I camped in my Blackbird hammock a few months ago and it was so hot inside zipped up, it was miserable and sweating so bad. This one looks like it would be cooler because it's bigger so it should have better airflow. I wonder if there would be a way to use this as a ground bivy to keep bugs out??
How has the bug net worked out for you? One potential concern I have is that the net doesn't have any support to hold the sides away from your body, so theoretically bugs could bite any part of your body in direct contact with the net. It's similar to the issues I've had with hammocks with built in bug nets, the mosquitos just bite me directly through the bottom of the hammock.

Oh yea those things could cause a ruckus for sure - I have not encountered those so far *knock on wood*
Oh yeah, noseeums in the Adirondacks here come out at the same time the black flies do. And I think the noseeums bite is far more aggravating
All in all, I do like this bug net. Works great

I’m sure you could string this up to use with a bivy, it’s big enough. I get claustrophobic so I’m not fond of bivys
What was those white flakes on that scale?
Dust and debre

For the price it works - I haven’t had those issues - but haven’t used it in an extreme mosquito infested area either
What about the zippers
Zipper are surprisingly decent for the price point - I haven’t had any snag issues yet
The Hiking Bigfoot the hammock zipps are junk
