  • Our group is putting together a full-fledged documentary on The Night Riders, a violent group in Tennessee's history. As part of it, we interviewed historian and public speaker Rick Gregory, and asked him to tell us all he knows about the era.

This is an excellent piece of history to learn about. I was watching a tobacco documentary and the night riders are metioned at the biggining. It awoke my interest in knowing more and I'm glad this video is out there for us to learn. Furthermore I'd like to have beer with this man and listen to him tell more stories cause this knowledge is historica, priceless and very interesting.

All roads lead to the banksters.
No more Bankster wars. No more brother wars.

My great grandmothers uncle Charlie Carroll was only 13 years old when the NIght Raiders murdered him in Ky. in March of 1910.

We have a lot of Monopolies in 2022. And they are raising their prices a lot more than they should and are blaming supply shortage and inflation. The Monopolies should be broken up, because they have the power to raise prices without fear of losing market share since they have no competition.

I remember my great grandfather who was a child during this time. Telling me about how his family had to hide in the woods because his grandfather ( newly freed slave) wouldn't join the association. And they came to kill them. His grandparents hid him and his siblings.

I studied this in school today, more people should know about these people, and they should also know about the heroes in the event as well. We are doing National History Day and this was a topic, he left out a lot of details about the night riders. They were fricking terrifying, Black dyed flour sacks for clothes, beating people close to death, hidden identities. Mary Lou is probably my favorite part of the story, we studied her a lot, she was beaten with whips as was her husband because she destroyed the night riders tobacco beds for the next years crop. Their son had to watch the entire thing. Sir Amos, the founder of the association deserved jail, but he never killed so he was free, he deserves punishment, but this was a really moving topic.

You'll never learn anything like this in school. That's one of the reasons they don't want critical race theory taught in schools. Because these events that happened all over the country will be brought up
