This playthrough of Vixoria Drift's "Vivid" was played on YARG. Download YARG here: yarg.in/ Vivid full album and charts to play on Clone Hero or YARG: ua-cam.com/video/_H2b17yBU-k/v-deo.html This album hit me in one hell of a place, and I'm not talking about sitting on my nuts at the start. Seriously though, this album helped me process some tough feelings in my personal life. Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did! Zero pitch shifting on the whole album! WOW!
I've said it a million times at this point but thank you so much Jason for checking Vivid out and welcoming me into your community! Seeing your second playthrough yesterday on stream was a blast and hearing how the themes and lyrics have connected with you since your first listen has been quite moving. After all of the time and energy that goes into making something like this, getting to share it with others and hear their thoughts and experiences is the best part 💜
They may have arisen out of shitposting, but they are definitely beginning to realize their potential as a natural evolution of DJing/Remixing with the advantage of modern tools.
AI can rip the vocals from the background better now so instead of having to find a version of just the vocals or just the instrumentals, artists can make a vocal only track of whatever song they want to use, so they have infinitely more ammo now than they did like 6 years ago
I feel like once in a while someone comes along sets a new bar, and I'll be damned if this doesn't, I don't know what will. No pitch shifting is a feat in itself, but telling a story with not just each song, but the whole album? I know it's been done, but this feels like a new bar for people to aim for.
Sitting on your nuts, what a way to start this album. This was...an experience, that's all I'm able to say. An experience. This album is a serious contender for best mashup album ever, some of the songs even rival my all time fav mashup Coldfly. Also YARG looks REALLY cool
Track 9's "la la la" part is from A Day To Remember's "If It Means A Lot To You" and this whole thing has been a musical beauty. Thank you for sharing the things you do and thanks to those that come up with these absolute marvels of mashups.
That was gorgeous, @JasonParadise- I was brought to tears numerous times from recognizing hit after hit after hit right along with you. Sure, I didn't recognize a lot of the core pieces featured, but especially the background chords my heart got hit hard in the feels. Congrats on the most epic sight-read FC, my man. This was the most vivacious playback ever.
Okay I had to comment on this, but during Remembered I'm Bad at Love the Guitar Solo was from a song called Nobody's Fool by Cinderella. That band is one of my absolute favorites of all time, but they started so late in the hair metal era that they didn't get the chance to shine that most of the big names did before Grunge took over. Any time I hear them referenced at all it makes me very happy, phenomenal stuff from vixoria here
I think about halfway through it just shut me down and put me in an emotional state and I don't even know why. Takes me back like Black Parade and Life is a Waiting Room, just a whole story from start to finish that's easy to follow. Shared with a few people already and expect it to be shared even farther, Vix has definite talent for this and I can't wait for the next mashup!
man... usually i just listen to you play these albums on a second monitor while I work or play games but this album was so entrancing I just watched the whole video
Panic Switch is a crazy underrated song and I'm so thrilled to hear it deployed in a mashup, and vixoria really killed it across this album but once I heard the Panic Switch chorus guitar....oh my god.
The use of the lyrics to tell something emotional more than just having the reaction come from the mashups involved is amazing on a whole different level. Keep up the great work @vixoriadrift. Keep up the good work yourself Jason. Getting these talented artists to more people is a great asperation to keep striving toward.
That was a GORGEOUS album played fantastically and it's cool to see it had such an impact for you. Definitely got me a bit, and I picked it up myself with a little dono to the creator on Bandcamp.
I'm not familiar with a lot of these songs, but "Everybody's Singing" made me cry. That song... it helped me through a VERY dark time in my life. I had forgotten about it... I didn't expect to have my defenses broken so easily today.
"Why is this making me so emotional?" Music is the universal language, and when someone takes that language and pours their love and talent into it, it shows.
Remembered I’m Bad at Love should not have gone as hard as it did and I fucking loved it, that was absolutely awesome and I would absolutely listen to that more often
Track 4 absolutely sent me. I didn't see it as an internal monologue though, but as some guy rejecting a girl's advances in the most savage way possible. I mean the whole album sent me, but track 4 was in a completely different way.
Literally just finished the whole album on clone hero (M+k if course) and omg it is a BEAUTIFUL and inspiring collection of mashups, skills and passion behind it. I hope they get the support and love they deserve and maybe we will get a 2nd album 🙏
I'm usually pretty meh on mashups, like they're fine not my bag, but hey you do you. This is a masterclass of art that blew me away from beginning to end.
Just seeing this video on my homepage and glad I clicked. Not even halfway in and this mashup album is something else. Like, I can't even process how damn banging this is. Definitely going to be throwing this in CH!
Ya know I wasn't expecting to find out "The Night Santa Went Crazy" had musical inspiration from an Ozzy song about coming home from rehab by hearing a sample of said ozzy song in a mashup album but here we are
I was only kinda half-listening, vibing. THEN FRICKIN' TOKIO HOTEL FROM NOWHERE! My sister loved that band as a teen and I used to listen to the music with her. It wasn't my style, but I was still curious and Bill's voice is not one I easily forget. Hearing that was the highest my eyebrows have been raised in a WHILE!
I really am impressed with what you’ve showed off in Y.A.R.G. I also didn’t know they implemented Pro-Guitar and plan to add Pro-Keys. I’ll definitely be ditching clone hero for this gem.
Man that second track is amazing! I don't even mean as a game to play, as a piece of music it's really good, I could almost have that as a song by itself and just repeat it while commuting at late night. Maybe turn the volume right up in a tunnel and let it echo.
This is all good and great but you forgot the first to leave us Chris Cornell from Audioslave he shouldve been part of the mashup no love for Like A Stone shame his death started the domino effect
YARG has a lot of features Clone doesn't have. The anti-spamming / anti-ghost engine is super attractive to me. Been addicted to it. Would recommend! 🤘 That being said, practice mode is still in alpha testing and there's no online play. Still room for Clone Hero (for now)

Question: Have you played Everhood yet?
I remember ya saying in a previous video about playing it.

Mashups are a form of art and I'm not joking
They may have arisen out of shitposting, but they are definitely beginning to realize their potential as a natural evolution of DJing/Remixing with the advantage of modern tools.
The emotional whiplash at the beginning going from "I sat on my nuts!" to realizing how depressing the start is
I feel like the mashup scene has been improving exponentially lately!
AI can rip the vocals from the background better now so instead of having to find a version of just the vocals or just the instrumentals, artists can make a vocal only track of whatever song they want to use, so they have infinitely more ammo now than they did like 6 years ago
Vixoria is EASILY in the S++ tier when it comes to mashup makers in the scene. VIVID is an instant 10/10, hell, even a 11/10. Hell yeah! 🤘
This hit me harder than sitting on my... OH NO
having Chester in such an amazing mashups SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. this was so good!
I miss that man so much...
I feel like once in a while someone comes along sets a new bar, and I'll be damned if this doesn't, I don't know what will.

Even Pink Floyd--especially back when they had actually good musicians in their lineup--would be EXTREMELY hard pressed to beat this in any way.

the part at 9:44 is the demon on the shoulder pitching in on the fantasy.
yoooooo the K/DA instrumental in live die live die was CLEAN
The “I cried twice hearing Chester’s voice button”
v
I was super stoked to hear the Lucretia my Reflection bassline, I'm gonna check it out just for that
This legit had me crying at one point tholy shit these arent even meme charts no more man these are just staraight up amazing

I swear if I don't know any better I'd think most of these were the original songs, they're just that good. This album is god tier.
That was a GORGEOUS album played fantastically and it's cool to see it had such an impact for you. Definitely got me a bit, and I picked it up myself with a little dono to the creator on Bandcamp.
We will never forget the sacrifice that was made for this video to happen. Godspeed, Jason’s nuts 🫡
Missed opportunity to be a typical youtuber and tell people to smash the like button like I smashed myself
@@JasonParadiseAWWWWW damn I didn’t even think of that. That would have been fantastic lol
@@JasonParadisebut it could've been worse, at least you didn't have an Ishowmeat situation
That's one of the worst parts of getting older, and how you know you're there; the first time you sit on your own testicles
@thembill8246 I've been accidentally doing that sometimes since about 14 years old. Age has nothing to do with it and It never feels any better lol.
I'm not familiar with a lot of these songs, but "Everybody's Singing" made me cry. That song... it helped me through a VERY dark time in my life. I had forgotten about it...

why does it all fit so well together
I'm mad at UA-cam for not sending this sooner. Some of THE BEST mashups EVER!
Welcome back. Their previous album was amazing and I am looking forward to this one.
👇 These people think Jason's laugh is contagious
It really is
I don't think it is. I know it is.
The "Chester" at 30:42 is the most.. wholesome...
Good lord, if I didn't already know some of the sample sources I could easily be convinced that these were raw songs.
This was just a never-ending gut-punch, wow
I now feel like inserting into every song in my head "WHO GIVES A F*CK, DESTROY YOURSELF"
Holy balls! This is great!
I am so happy to know that the moment of Jason sitting on his nuts has been made available for his whole UA-cam audience to see.
Remembered I’m Bad at Love should not have gone as hard as it did and I fucking loved it, that was absolutely awesome and I would absolutely listen to that more often

That second mashup is just gold.
Mashups are alchemy: they can turn abjectly soulless chum into solid gold
This is such a great video with insane music, I can't believe the video started with Jason accidentally sitting on his balls.
I am sitting here full slack-jawed caveman mode in awe of how amazing this was. Holy hell.
The Shadow of The Day moment got me hard. This was an experience. I miss Chester man
Emotional... with an FC.. GG my dude!
Yaaay ^^ I was waiting for you to play this!
Ya know

Man, this whole album was an experience. I found myself going “No way, I can’t believe they made this work!”
30 minutes of some really somber but chill vibes. And all mashups without pitch shifting. Well done.
I'm sorry but there were DEFINITELY some pitch changes
This was a rollercoaster of emotions
Holy heck, this is an amazing album!
Hey Jason! This was a banger to listen to!
Listened to this album when it came out. Masterful work here.
i feel like someone just told me an entire story with just music, this shit is so impressive straight through!
that man is a musical genious
Man Evanescence always hits different
even Venjent made it into the mix!
I really am impressed with what you’ve showed off in Y.A.R.G.
I also didn’t know they implemented Pro-Guitar and plan to add Pro-Keys. I’ll definitely be ditching clone hero for this gem.
I did not expect Vampires Will Never Hurt You!

amazing! thanks for sharing this one :D
21:00 I'm pretty sure I creamed my jeans
One Last Sunset really reminds me of Thank You Scientist
Hey it's Nov 5th as I type this. PERFECT for the first mashup.
LOL was that Takumi's dad yelling at him to wake up and do the tofu deliveries?
Fun
From 11:15 to 11:22 where's that riff from? Because I'm feeling kinda dumb right now, I can't remember the song's name (。ŏ﹏ŏ)
I decided to watch this expecting memes, found gold instead
On the track remembered I'm bad at love was the bass and drums from Lucretia my reflection? I'm about 90% sure that was it but I need to know
…anybody else feel like crying? No? Ok. 🙃
victorious
PUTTING THE FORBIDDEN CHORD AT THE END WAS NASTY
Everybody's Singing uses a track from Sayonara Wild Hearts, or that's at least what it sounds like in the background...
I like this game alot. I just wish more songs were available on vocals
Sits on nuts...house on fire lol
Ah so that where the "I say on my nuts" came from that you kept talking about on stream, lol
F in chat for Jason's nuts
This is all good and great but you forgot the first to leave us Chris Cornell from Audioslave he shouldve been part of the mashup no love for Like A Stone shame his death started the domino effect
Lmaooo are you ok, Jason?
Is this the new replacement of clone hero?
YARG has a lot of features Clone doesn't have. The anti-spamming / anti-ghost engine is super attractive to me. Been addicted to it. Would recommend! 🤘
That being said, practice mode is still in alpha testing and there's no online play. Still room for Clone Hero (for now)
I dident like the ending slaps so good
what is the best guitar to play Clone Hero?
Wii ones and Xbox 360 ones are both pretty good options. PS3 ones can be kind of a hassle
why does he react like that to spirit box ?
One of my favorite bands
ty@@JasonParadise
Is this the new engine or the old one?
This was on the stable build (.11)
nice okay, i cant get the new engine calibrated right but i know they will have fixes soon @@JasonParadise
Her VOICE.... Sounds a lot like and reminds me of Amy Lee of Evanescence....
First
No one like Vixoria Drift to make me feel uncultured.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the album, I just don't know most of the sources.
i disagree about the arcane opening. i think it builds up to something sweet and just fumbles it.
