- Really, this car was practically impossible to build. I almost quit and build the random muscle number 115. The creator set 10252 has been a great inspiration to make mine.

I may or may not have just found this video and immediately been ready to do whatever I need to, tear apart any set I own, just to build this. I grew up on these movies and absolutely ADORE this little guy. Doesn't matter that this video is 5 years old, you're my new favorite lego car MOCist soley from this. ❤

Whirled the wheel at 6-wide twoseat beetles myself, but the shaping for the hood headlights frunk are all incredibly recogniscable.
Going for that iconic livery and the nice interior is just icing on the cake.

Herbie was my favourite car as a little kid, I always tried to build it with Lego but just couldn't do it, to see this makes me SO Happy! I love the build!
My boi, the chad, Herbie. I grew up watching all of the films, this holds a important place in my heart. I have just returned to lego, so I new I had to build this. The instructions are quite easy to translate, especially since there is a parts list. 5/5 would recommend.

Fantastic job. You really captured the iconic car. I am trying to build some of your transformers but don't have mixel joints, what could I use in place of the mixel joints?
I don't think there is nothing to replace the mixel joints. Right now I'm working in a new Bumblebee (the modern Camaro version) and I can't get rid of them, basically because there are joints that needs to angle in spherical coordinates.
