    After a long search for a video on how to attach the drill bits, I finally found the answers needed... Thank you for sharing this detailed video, it was very helpful to me.

    Great video. No BS. Tells it like it is. For example when he was unboxing he skipped over it.

    Thanks man. I appreciate the fact that you refer to your Master Carver, but not to compare the Tacklife. It’s a fine detail tool. I also appreciate that you filmed this in your real shop. For the price I really don’t think you can go wrong, from a beginners perspective. Thanks again.

    I know this is an old video, and you're not likely to see what I write here.
    On the off chance that you do... Thank you SO very much for explaining everything in this kit! I have been living in a state of confusion about the collet and the locking thingy. The only way I could use it is by goofing off long enough to stumble onto something that worked. I purchased mine second hand, so there was no paperwork included.
    The tip about the little hole in the flex shaft is vey useful. I've been holding the locking button on the tool to tighten the end of the flex shaft, which is not convenient.
    Thank you again for breaking it down so us simple folks can understand!
    😊

      I know its a older video i did but the same thing applies to many of these tools like it. It is a fun tool though and it has many uses depending on your hobby and what you are trying to do.

      @@TheHomeHandyman I mostly repair my own stuff, and I have been feeling the call to refurbish pieces of furniture. Maybe I can even build a whole bookcase!
      I am grateful you mentioned the attachment that can be used as a router. I need to repair/rebuild a drawer, and was puzzled about how to make the side channels for the bottom. It looks pretty figure-out-able now!
      😆

      For making drawer tracks you can set it up with guides and make them or you can look on craigslist etc for a detail router which would work well.

    Nice. Excellent Review.
    As for me, I own 4 different Dremels; three of which are top end cordless.
    I use one set up with small cordless wood saw and one set up with a cut off wheel/grinder almost everyday in my property management business. Very handy and saves me a lot of time. The only Dremel that I have been disappointed in is their new cordless stick screwdriver; it doesn't have a switch but is a push to screw and unscrew. Also it is slow and weak.
    Note:
    I've found, for me, it is better to have separate tools for my service truck and separate tools for my shop. That way, they are always handy where ever I am.

    Great video. Well done. I just got this tool kit in the mail today. I guess they did away with the handle 'cause mine came with everything but that. No biggie. Still a good deal. I'm looking forward to putting it to good use.

    You only change the collet if you need a larger hole or smaller hole in the collet for specific accessories with specific shaft sizes

    • @TheHomeHandyman
      @TheHomeHandyman  5 років тому

      yeah I agree collet only needs changing if you have different sized cutters

    That 's a nice kit. I have a Black & Decker RTX-6 rotary tool that I bought a couple of years ago, it's ok but it only has 3 speeds whereas the Taklife is variable speed and it also comes with the flex-shaft attachment . I own an LED work light by Tacklife that has been pretty good.

    Hi! Very helpful video. I’m trying to fit the drilling pieces into the flexible attachment and they all fall straight out - how do you get the pieces to stay in the extension? I’ve followed your instructions and the instructions in the manual with loosening the volley etc but it’s not working. Would be great to hear back :)

    • @TheHomeHandyman
      @TheHomeHandyman  4 роки тому

      I think your issue is in having to change the collet in the rotary tool - on mine you unscrew the tip on it and change out the collet which there are several to choose from in the kit that i have when i bought mine - this should fix the issue your describing - I bought the Tacklife bit kit with it when i got mine - take a look in the bottom left corner of the Amazon link here and you will see the collets I am talking about - amzn.to/3k40jb9

    • @ksajak

      @@danmosley8769 nice! I actually went with the 23103. It's the 23101 but I went with the kit that has the case and flex shaft which is 23103. It's just an updated version of the one in this video pretty much. Little bit more rpm and its black. But for 22 bucks you can't really beat it. If it breaks or fails after a year just grab another! I actually collect vintage Leatherman tools. I got a super tool in that was rusty and the plier head wouldn't open without force. Let the tool sit in evapo rust over 2 days but would take it out here and there to flip it over and scrub it a few times but kept seeing wet rust coming from between the tools no matter how much I sprayed and wiped with wd40 and let sit in the evapo rust. So I finally took it apart and got all the rust off from the tools. It was my 1st time taking one apart. I got some scratches around the little screws from my pliers. So I was thinking of a way I could easily remove the scratches and that's when I thought about the dremel/rotary tool. I've been wanting one forever! Well this is the perfect time to get one. Finally! I took the plier head off the tool after fixing it so I could remove all the rust as well. Waiting for the rotary tool to come in tomorrow so I can remove some of the yellowish coloring around the plier joints then gonna polish certain areas. So I'll only be using it for small things like that. Which is why I didn't go crazy. Got that kit, keyless rotary chuck and a thing of bristle disks to polish the Leatherman. Sorry this was long. Thanks for the reply and video. It helped for sure 🤝

    oops, I have a question, how to I get the sanding paper to stay on, I know you said to tighten it, but how?

    • @TheHomeHandyman
      @TheHomeHandyman  5 років тому +1

      I have two types i use.....one is a drum sleeve that a round pc of sanding disc fits over and you tighten a screw on the bottom that expands the rubber and holds it tight. The other are flap wheels which require nothing to use, just put it in the chuck and tighten it up...............
