I don't even have a dog, but he makes the art so interesting that I feel compelled to learn even more.
Makes me feel like a dumbass at times... learned alot from this guy.
Right!!!!!!
Very kind of you to say so. Dog training really is both an art and a science. Thank you for watching 🙏
I have cats, but I still watch his video because they are so interesting, and well, if I ever get a dog, I'll know who to learn from
He makes you want to buy a dog😂
This guy is the best !
Now just tell that to my wife 😄
@AmericanStandardK9‘s Wife, this guy is the best!

He's One of the top trainers, here's my top dog trainers list:
Beckman
This man
Dog Daddy
Balabanov
Cesar Millan
None of them Is the goat because there Is no goat, they are all the goats and they're all complementary.
@@AmericanStandardK9 Greetings from Bulgaria man, you're doing a great job. I'm dog trainer myself and I'm happy to see some real work. Today's positive only trainers really screw Up the dog. I live in Spain right now and there is a lot of trainers that don't have a clue.
Trained my dog when I had no idea what I was doing. was one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve got, I felt like I understood them
That dog is beautiful!
I teach this inside, and when the time come, I put muzzle and we go outside. So they connect muzzle and going out. Same thing with a collar and leash. If you present the muzzle to my dog, he pushes his head inside, he cant wait cause he knows we are going outside.
Key tip, do not rush this. Play with it and don't be nervous, because if a dog senses your nervousness it will become nervous and muzzle becomes something bad. Play with it and do not hurry.😊
smart comment my cousin's dog is moderately fond of me but whenever im stressed she sits next to me as in hay chill out your stressing me out too. they are probs the smartest animals you can own in terms of loyalty and being aware of your emotional state.
Y do people put it on they dog I have family dogs nd
I never purchased one
I don’t even know how ppl accused u of abuse , and yet one of if not the best dog trainer on the planet.
U sir have earned a follower from the other side of world . ( i am from Syria )
Best of luck my friend ❤
‘Hey, I’m tired of carrying your food bowl, can you carry it?’
😂
The first time my dog had a muzzle on was when we were crossing the border from Ukraine to Romania on foot last year with my labrador. The first border guard we encountered said my dog would probably bite people so we had to put on a muzzle. We hadn't had a chance to buy a proper one when leaving home, so we had to use a leftover one from my girl Daisy, who had been much smaller when she was alive. He predictably freaked out and was scratching and tearing at his face, and we had to stop every 10 meters to keep coaxing him along. Finally, after half an hour of this torture, the young border guard at the opposite end said, "What are you doing? This is a lab, I have one at home, they're so friendly." We were so relieved I almost cried. He took the muzzle off, and a couple of the guards gave us a bowl with some water. The volunteers on the Romanian side had dog food and supplies available, but we brought all that from home since we had no idea. Still, it was such a relief to see that help was there. Anyway, I'm sorry I went off on a tangent. My boy will not let us introduce a muzzle now, but it's ok: we're in a very dog friendly country and he is a very friendly chap.
I'm so happy you guys are okay and your dog 🐶 is somewhere he feels comfortable with! I understand he might not like the muzzle and that understandable!
Any dog can bite, even a lab. Not all labs are friendly and not all "vicious" breeds are actually vicious. It's all about how they're raised.
I have a lab and he's extremely friendly with strangers, but is the total opposite with me. He doesn't try to bite me, but he's never excited to see me whenever I get home from work, but he does cuddle on the sofa and is happy to go for walks and lets me play with him sometimes. He's only 3 months old, so he'll likely grow out of odd behaviours in a few months. I don't think I'll muzzle train him unless he develops behavioural issues out in public.
Thank you for your story. My son moved to Germany and had to leave Chevy Pit Bull with Grandma because he would have to deal with muzzle laws. We did not want that
@@_--____--______--___He's friendly with strangers but not with you and doesn't get excited when you come home? There is something really wrong dude.
@@varunkamal91 it's not uncommon from what I've found out. I've found a few different threads where people have had similar issues. Their dogs won't be happy to see them, but get excited over other family members coming home.
Mine just knows he's getting a bath every night after work, so probably isn't looking forward to it. He won't leave me alone once he's had a bath and been fed.
Thank you for this demo. I have to train my cat to use an inhaler because he has asthma. I will try this. It helps to see it done.
Amazing way to teaching it. Man I love this guy he is the cool guy 😅
Im glad my shepherd just decides everything is okay when i do it😅 its honestly a blessing. Even if its something new, he just easily gets used to it and understands its okay
This guy is the best I’ve seen
Great tips. ❤
Thats a gorgeous GSD. ❤
I had an aggressive dog, he’s no longer with me anymore but when we had people over we needed to muzzle him, only person he’d let do it was me, I guess it’s also the time you spend with the dog to gain it’s loyalty or at least some trust, first time I tried to put it on him tho I got bite lol, but it changed the next time I did it. I wasn’t very knowledgeable and I wished I could’ve helped my dog instead of the fate that awaited him in the end, but I’m happy he at least trusted me enough to be his main care taker
I keep getting you in my "FYP". I kinda like you more and more.
When i trained my dog i employed positive reinforcement and treat randomization
Aww what a pretty dog too. I love German Shepherds
❤❤❤ LOVE HIM AND HIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY ESPECIALLY THE CONTENT THAT THEY ALL PUT OUT I LOVE LEARNING FROM HIM ❤❤❤
❤
I love your thinking
I like that great advice 😮
Excellent! This guy knows what he's doing.
definetly the right way have staf x malinoa cross she learned to love the muzzle within a few days
He’s good he’s good!!!
As someone who grew up around a pitbull “farm”, you’ve taught me a few tricks that honestly surprised me. People who haven’t spent time on a “farm” with aggressive dogs should seriously take notes.
(This was a relative and I was a child, I’m against inbreeding, isolation, abuse, etc etc.)
I wish I was a good dog trainer like you😂
What kind of treats do you use? I’m sure I’ve just missed it somewhere else… love what you do.. thank you for being so passionate and thorough.. ❤
Brilliant idea!
Brother you are something else..just amazing
You're one of the best trainers I've watched! Real Balanced training. "Positive reinforcement" trainers punching the air rn lol
Love you keep up the work
What a beautiful dog
I like the way you teach ppl to train thanks
Mind blown!!
I went to get a muzzle today for my Belgian malinois and she did not want it I just showed it to her but I did not force it on her I took your advice and backed away from it and look to use it in the future but I did not force it on her thank you for the advice good job
This is essentially how i teach cows not to hate halters.
This guy is the goat
Do you have any videos about how to start training a puppy my sister has gotten one and it desperately needs training
Yep! Diyk9.com has everything you need!
Brilliant!!
I know! I don’t even have a dog, but I watch this channel daily because it’s so fascinating
This is exactly what I did, and it worked so well
Excellent!
Thank you!!!!
Perfect refresher. Thank you ❤🐾🐾
This guy is best trainer 🔥
Bad ass trainer
Did this with mine along with the leash and prong collar. He will never fight you to put either on bc he knows muzzle means food and prong means walk.
Brilliant!
Love your training tips! Can you give a dog a treat when it has a muzzle?
It’s all time. Take the time.
Immediately when he said, it’s a party, I was thinking of the dog just saying it’s a party in my tummy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I train my dogs with certain things the "wrong" way. They get used to it and the message does sink in, but it takes a while.
Dogs absolutely hate figure of 8 slip leads, but there's no proper way to train them to like it. They just have to get used to it. I'll only use a figure of 8 when I need to. I may or may not muzzle train my current dog, but it depends on how he develops over the next few months. He's only 3 months old and doesn't bite at all.
Could you please share the brand of muzzle you are training that German Shepherd with? I’m looking to purchase one & use your video to train my dog to get use to it. Thank you 😊
Amazing video! I dont muzzle my dog but this helps alot!
Where can I find more dog training shorts like this one
This pretty cool. Ive also heard of putting peanut butter in it to keep the dog entertained. I had a rottie RIP and would muzzle her when going to the vet since she hated shots but luckily she never minded the muzzle. I currently have a 2yr old rottie and doesnt need it but absolutely hates having a collar or harness on! She doesn't mind wearing shoes tho which i find so dam weird. Any tips for getting her to be comfortable wearing a collar??
Thank you. I haven't had to use a muzzle ....yet. but all is knowledge.😊
i love how even after he gives the “free” command his dog still chooses to stay near once she’s gotten the treat 🥹🥹
Trained mine the same way. Brilliant
Thanks for the tips
Perfect I'll do this method for the harness and collar! ❤😊
Awesome!!! Can you tell me the brand of that muzzle?
i have an xl, in the UK, teaching her to be ok with the muzzle is harder than people think
My dog isn't and never has been motivated by food or treats of any sorts.
What recommendations do you have for this circumstance?
Great K9 owner educator!
He spent near 20 yrs in the Miami Police dept in their canine unit. Trains guard/protection dogs for the police, military, celebs, and high-profile clientele. He's no newbie.
Can you do a video on how to leash train a dog
I will definitely be using this for my big dog
Wow really majority informative
Loved the video, but lowkey need that background beat or song?!?!? 😅
Can you please share the info of the collar 🙏
😂 This is nice, thanks
Damn, never thought of something like this.. Gonna try for sure..
This is sound advice and training. People really out here spending 4 seconds trying to “train their dog” but get fed up and do things that make the dog feel unsafe or uncomfortable, then hit the surprised pikachu when their dog acts out. What you put into your dog is what they will give back to you, I swear every dog owner should be following this channel
Absolutely logical. I’m thinking things must’ve gone really wrong to even feel the need to own a muzzle for any dog.
Amazing thank you!!
Love this!!
Where can I get a good muzzle, and what kind of treats is he using?
This is brilliant as the ban comes in the UK for XL bullys
Thank!! Our dog might need a muzzle so this is really helpful
i love how it falls in my brain with that much sense, its fucking "common sense" man, love your videos and how you talk
Great!!
I have one question though, how to even start to let the dog know that the treats are much more tasty because my GSD eats everything. For him there is no such thing as treats. If his stomach is full, he won't even bother to come running for the treats let alone training him with such. So, how do I even train my GSD: should I starve him beforehand to get him to listen commands and rewards for treats? Currently, I train him as he is the willing to. I know this is a wrong practice but for reasons unknown, he already started eating treats as food before I got him.
He’s so good, he makes ME want to wear a muzzle!
These dogs are so smart. I’ve tried food based training with my dogs but I’m not sure they get it. Should I try it for a longer duration?
So if I already screwed that up I did it the wrong way can I begin the way you're doing it and redo the situation that I totally screwed up?
Genius
You really know your job, and you do truly understand dogs. It is pleasure to watch your videos.
Hey Garret, where can I find the muzzle you are using in this video? I don’t trust using the Baker muzzles from the local pet store.
That is very nice even the dog is into it😂
What brand of muzzle is that?
Haha I like this guy.
Awesome
My dog isn’t interested in treats. What treats do you use?
Ohhhh those hiiiiips. Poor guy.
Hlo sir I watched your all videos but u tolk less about Rottweiler please Shere some information about Rottweiler thank you ❤
Can you tell me more about the bouvier flandres
Good boy
The muzzle with the red ball inside is for The Ole Lady😂
Wow man you exposed your lack of character, integrity and middle school education all in one short sentence. Nice job!
Dogs are so smart, but also not so smart. This is an awesome method.
This video is so incredibly helpful! I can’t wait to train my GSD to muzzle safely now. 😊
If this guy would be my coach and my owner, i would like to be a dog
