- GMC Chevrolet Express 3500 work van converted over a 1.5 year period. Had a Sprinter but wanted more towing capacity. At the end added Black Rhino wheels and BF K02 315/70/17 Tires.

Great job! I'm doing the same thing to my AWD GMC Savana half ton van. I also got my high top from the salvage yard from a conversion van and installed it myself. Roughest four hours of the build, just getting it off the old van and hauling it home!!! My high top isn't as tall as yours, it only adds a foot in height, but that foot makes a lot of difference... I sprayed the entire van and the new top with raptor liner. Super happy with it. Then I had to work with a local welder to figure out how to raise the roof rack up above the new top. So far so good!
That thing is badass
Where did you got that roof
Can you do one for me?
Can you convert the older van to all-wheel drive/4 wheel drive
Not really, chassis is super different
I have so many questions on your build. I read you sold it but still like to talk to you about this van lol
I’d like to know what front bumper you got on there
Sure let me know how any questions, just saw this lol. The bumper is an Ali Arc, I found it at a random junkyard on an ambulance (:
Ah damn that’s a sick bumper I’ll have to keep an eye out for one. Was it on a 03+ ambulance? Also did you lift the van at all to fit those tires? I have a 02 Savana 3500 and I bought 285/75/16s and I definitely needs to be lifted a bit and was wondering if you lifted at all
Nice van! What brand top is that? And did you instal it yourself?
hello I purchased a wrecked van, removed and installed myself. alot of work!!!
Very nice love the top
Love the build, would love to see videos of in depth/parts if possible. Trying to do this with a van myself and I have a toddler so the booster seat rack is an awesome tough as well! Would really appreciate some insight! This Van is kick ass!
Hey Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately I sold that van 1 year after I finished. It was too small for the family. Great for 1 or 2 though! I do have some videos I took of the completed van I will have to upload them asap! Good luck on your build let me know if you have specific questions!
Do you have a build thread?
I have a 2019 Chevrolet Express passenger van 3500 extended LT model. I converted it to a campervan last year. I have to admit I was far less ambitious in my van conversion, and did not "raise the roof" by adding a fiberglass roof top
I like your conversion of a very similar GM van with the raised roof.
Yea I should have bought a newer van with all the work I put into it. Ended up selling it due to Michigan rust. Now have a E350 shuttlebus conversion that I need to make a video on. Miss the Chevy handling and engine though!
Nice van! I would like to see more if you have made changes.
What is the top made of? You did an awesome job!
Hello greetings, how do you do to have a high ceiling like yours? I would like to know the price and how can I get it? Thank you
Hello and Thanks for your comment. The top is made by fiberine.com/GVMR/Home.html. They are based in CA and you can see prices on the website. I found a Fiberine used top off a salvage van and removed it myself. Hard to remove and install but saved a bunch of $.
did you build the bumper yourself? ive been looking for something similar
Hey no its from Ali Arc out of canada look them up, was built very well by them!
