The darker clothing a person wears absorbs more heat than light color clothing. I experienced temps as hot as 114 degrees when I was in the U.S. Air Force at Sheppard AFB; Wichita Falls, Texas back in Summer 1978. But that heat was a dry heat not the humid heat like Mississippi, Alabama, etc.
