but first let me share a brief overview of this one of a kind tourist spot that is a must visit in Japan: the Kurobe Dam!
Kurobe Dam is a famous arch located in the Northern Japanese Arch, Toyama Prefecture Japan surronded by a breathaking mou tain scenery. This is the biggest dam of Japan, it does supplies power to the Kansai region.
In our case the route we chose is the TATEYAMA KUROBE ALPINE ROUTE:
Our
since we stayed in Care hotel so our starting point is Dentetsu Toyama Station to Tateyama Station.
TATEYAMA Station this is the main station where the KUROBE alpine Route started.
1. Tateyama Cable
*Tateyama Station - Bijodaira Station (where the hig,and bus is waiting)
*7mins
2. highland Bus
*Bijodaira Station - Murodo Station
(FYI: in our case Midagahara is Closed)
50 minutes
Bijodaira-Midagahara ( 30minutes)
Midagahara-Murodo (20 minutes)
3. Tateyama Tunnel Trolley Bus
*Murodo Station - Daikanbo Station
*10 minutes
4. Tateyama Ropeway
*Daikanbo Station - Kurobedaira Station
*7minutes
5. kurobe Cable Car
*Kurobedaira Station - Kurobeko Station
*5minutes
On foot for about 10-15minutes thru a gorgeous tunnel you’ll arrive at the KUROBE DAM.
My apologize for the bad videos. But once you get there on Tateyama station just go to the ticket office and listen to the instructions. In our case we just bought a round trip ticket and thats it’s super easy. Just ask about the time for their last trip from Kurobeko Station.
So many route options but we choose this one and I have nothing to complain.
