At first I thought no one could do a song as good as ABBA, but when you consider Nadine sang this song by herself while ABBA was a group, l think Nadine did a great job on this song and she is keeping alive the ABBA songs since ABBA no longer tours. PS: She looks great too!

Some Abba songs were being slaughtered in this show, but not this one. I´m really impressed by her performance, amazing.. In her own way she gave the song a touch of Donna Summer. NIce.

Nautilus1972 I wouldn’t say she was lost in the group. After all, it’s what made her famous, and everyone knows she was the best voice in the band by far

Here's another fun fact. The Musicians who worked on Voulez Vous were from the Miami based Group Foxy who had the Hit Record Get Off from 1978. Angel Ish Ledesma would later have the Record Whirly Girl from OXO, and he worked and produced his Wife Lori's Group Company B who had the hit Fascinated that went to Number One on The Dance Charts in the US.
Looking back these guys were Straight A Gangsta! If you missed just one beat or note show's over. I would have loved to have heard an R & B Version of "Gimme Gimmie Gimmie". I had no idea they were influenced by "Tamla Motown" as it's known in Europe.

It's hard to believe that ABBA did a Unicef Concert 40 Years ago with Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer The Bee Gees, Andy Gibb, John Denver, Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge and Earth Wind & Fire. So many of them are not with us any more and in many ways it was the predecessor to Live Aid, Farm Aid and even The Freddy Mercury Memorial Concert.

When they did American Bandstand in 1975 they were the only Group from Sweden to do the show. Looking back they really were nothing short of brilliant. They did everything in reverse. They were Solo Stars and parts of other Groups then join forces. They acknowledged at The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony how much American Music influenced them. From Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Beach Boys, Phil Spector (who also influenced Xenomania) and Tamla/Motown who also influenced The Bay City Rollers. I take nothing away from Anni-Frid aka "Freda" but looking back Agnetha was straight A Gangsta in the studio.

It doesn’t work if you try to “soulify” certain music unless you do something with the arrangement. Sorry to say, this is not a good vocal with this arrangement. IMHO.

This programme put shame on the unique sound of ABBA by being tacky and downgrading them as almost as one big mickey taking band in parts with second rate soap and talent show stars SHOULD have shown the far far better abba mania with real stars Madness Culture club s club etc Poor excuse for itv show plugging Daniel odonnel and sugar Boyle where ok This would have been a great show hosted if she was still here with us CILLA BLACK

it(s been years now where it is conventional on any television show around the world , even in sweden (except for germany where people are more self confident in their "bad taste" ) to put up a scenario where members are depicted as comics with high platform shoes even if it was only in 74-75 that they wore them ! and many other artefact , none of the big media allow to depict Abba respectfully but personally i don't respect any of the respectable EMI artists , they go to hell and I listen to every"crap" that I enjoy because I know that it has more to do with finances , big labels and dow jones that real music !
