Hey lovers! Thanks for listening to my thoughts. I want to let you know that I in no way am saying "don't take any pics during my show!" That would be ridiculous. I get it. I go to shows and I take a pic or two as well. It's exciting! BUT there is an appropriate time to do this and that time is not when I'm trying to communicate with you and get a message across. It's especially not when I explicitly ask for you to stop because it's affecting the show. There's many times when I'm running across the stage, being a goof during the intro and outro that I never mind if ppl take pictures! Just some food for thought bbs x love you !
IISuperwomanII Awwwwww!!!!! I love the way you share your thoughts!!!! Honestly u r one in a million Lilly!!!!!! I wish you good luck for the rest of your shows...!!!!!!! by the way, your book is AMAZING!!!!!! though I have completed reading only 4 chapters!!! 😁
so disappointed this happened in the philippines :( as a filipino, it was nice to see her visit the country, but to know this experience happened there was so disappointing. watching it back on your phones is NOTHING compared to being present there in the moment and taking it all in.
Jessemae D same here. I was so excited for her to go there because I know that the Philippines is one of the best places to go to. And to see that her experience wasn't as good as I thought it would be is upsetting...
Jessemae D I know Philippines can do so much bette this. Sorry Lilly on behalf of your audience, we Filipinos don't really get to have experiences such as watching shows or going to concerts because most of us can't afford it. I guess people are on their phone so much because they want to remember their experiences unfortunately they forget to experience the present and forget to live the moment. One love. Hope the next time you visit Philippines it'll be a completely different experience. #ilysupermama
PIPOCA THE UNICORN i hope so i was really disappointed too.. i thought it was great i really wanted to go to MANILA when the time i heard there would be UA-cam Fanfest unfortunately i am from Cebu its really hard to go in there we need to ride a plane or a ship cause we are like composed of island here.. I hope this will be our lesson as Filipinos..
EDIT: this is super long! But if you could spare the time to read this it would mean a lot! I agree with what Lilly was talking about. I went to her show in Vancouver, and when she ran out on stage, everyone was screaming and so excited! We were all taking pics or snapchatting what was happening, including me. But once she started the show, no one had there phones out and everyone was paying attention and very present. Lilly had everyone's attention and we laughed at her jokes(and there were many!), screamed when we were "supposed too" (meaning at appropriate times). Even though Vancouver was one of the shows Lilly had one of her rants about (meaning mostly the venue and the meet and greet/how it was being run), it was such an amazing experience to be there and actually learn from what she was saying in front of me. I could definitely tell that the venue and the people running it wasn't the best experience, but it didn't change the show at all! In my opinion, it felt as if the price of the show ($30 Canadian), was too cheap for the experience! Just wanted to share my experience and how blessed the world is to have Lilly Singh❤️
i'm from the philippines and even though i didn't get to go, i agree. in our country, we rarely have international celebrities and performers. HOWEVER, that does not excuse our behavior. People here lack discipline, tbh. Instant gratification i suppose? Also, a lot of rich people are the ones who are able to attend it and most of the time they are the ones without respect
Mikaela Castro Okay hello! I would just like to clear things up. I was part of those 50 people that they let in for free without a wristband and we were at the left most side of the place (prior to lilly's view). The other youtubers were seated at the right most side along with all of the people who actually got a M&G wristband with lilly. Most of us at that side honestly did not even know that they were there so please don't exactly blame it on all the people who attended that talk, or let alone that event. Yes, it is very disappointing to hear from lilly herself that "no one would listen" and "there was no respect in this audience" but in reality, only the people at the right side weren't listening and being respectful. I'm not saying this to defend our side but it's true. We did keep our phones and camera's away. We know how sensitive lilly can be and we wanted to show our respect for that. Unfortunately, it is sad to hear that she did not exactly enjoy her time here in the Philippines but it is her first time so i'm pretty sure it will be better when she visits again. I'm sorry that now you have a bad image of our country but it's not everyone who should be at fault here. :)
Cassidy Perrin - Well said, many people miss the "Experience Of Being Present In The Moment" There are times when you want to capture certain moments, but when you KNOW you are going to meet her right after and get a personal picture with her and talk with her one on one, why waste the time trying to snap-chat it, or stream it or what ever? Just enjoy the moment, that others wish they had.
AnDIYS and yeah people get excited and amazed but she told them to stop and to be present and they ignored(just imagine how would you feel)and + one girl facetimed her friend wtf.. i feel so sorry for Lilly.. she gives 110% and to be treated like this is heartbreaking
Yuki SnowDay this is so true I actuAlly can NOT believe people would do that to HER of all people like seriously she works so f ING hard. like the time get doing that show she could have been exploring and relaxing but no she had to stress herself out for certain someone's who don't give any f's
sometimes those people who you think arent listening are the ones who really do. it is 99% possible to record the moment while you listen. As a matter of fact, i am a public speaker. I always see my mom holding a videocamera and recording my moment. But I know, she listens to every word i say. To tell the truth, im really sad because majority of the comments in this video cant understand that. What made me more sad and disappointed after reading the comments was even filipinos are saying "Im so disappointed she had a bad experience here." or "This made me embarassed being filipino".
PS - Totally feel you on living life in the digital and not in the real, and for the need to intimately connect with people. Thanks for visiting the Philippines and if you ever come back I'll be your tour guide! #TorontoBredren
I am a filipino and I would like to say sorry for what happened. It was just we filipinos have been waiting for you for a long long time so we probably just got too excited. We are obsessed with you Lilly and we were just so thankful for you coming to our country. Filipinos are the best fans in the world to the point where we almost forgot how to live the moment and just photograph or record everything so we have something to look back to. I hope this experience of yours won't interfere you from going back in the Philippines. Filipinos love you, that's a sure thing 😉💕🇵🇭
best fans probably are from Team super New Zealand, they surprised Lilly. they organized the surprise as an audience. we're not that disciplined. but yes. Filipinos love hardcore we just can't keep our chill when it's happening before our eyes.
Lilly, what an honour to meet you in person, and present you on stage at YTFF, and heck to be part of your vlog... AWESOME! You were the highlight of my latest 2 vlogs! Best of luck in HK! #Grateful Oh, and super relatable re: wanting to really enjoy the cities visited on tour!
That's the problem with the Millennial generation - we always want instant gratification. In this scenario, people wanted to capture the moment that they got to see Lilly perform instead of take in the message she was performing. I honestly have so much love for Lilly cos she has a genuinely empowering message. She only puts good into the world, and when she doesn't get that back its so horrible.
Kay Jessemae D hello! I would just like to clear things up. I'm not saying this to defend our side but it's true. We did keep our phones and camera's away. We know how sensitive lilly can be and we wanted to show our respect for that. And also, we aren't like other countries such as USA, England and Australia where we have VidCon, Playlist Live or Coachella and events like those. So you have to understand that in a third-world country, having this opportunity, where tickets are also free will overwhelm a lot of people. Excite them. I think one of the reasons why we are just so accustomed to filming is because we aren't sure of when this event will happen again or if the same youtubers will get to visit again. Unlike the events that happens yearly in other countries that, I did mention earlier on. Unfortunately, it is sad to hear that she did not exactly enjoy her time here in the Philippines but it is her first time so i'm pretty sure it will be better when she visits again. I'm sorry that now you have a bad image of our country but it's not everyone who should be at fault here. :) But i do completely agree with your comment!! :)
That was so sweet, i'm glad there were people in the audience like you! Completely understand where you're coming from. You're so lucky to see her live though! I'm from London and i found out about her tour way too late to see her. Glad you enjoyed the show too!
Kay It was something I never expected since I didn't win any M&G for any artist at all but to have been able to attend her talk was amazing! Thank you for understanding as well. I really hope you get to go to one of her shows one day!
To be honest I totally 100% don't blame Lilly for being disappointed with this show. I mean she put so much time into this and then just to find people not even listening to what she is saying and recording and taking pictures of the whole show and I guess you could say invading her friends space by taking pictures of them. I mean I did that when I went to the Nyc show but I only recorded the countdown and one clip of her coming out and that's it. I mean that's fine to take a few pictures and stuff but what she told us is upsetting. I hope her next show is a little bit better.
Sorry. Pero nakaka-disappoint yung mga taong hindi nakinig during nung performance niya. Sana nung sinabi niya na itago muna yung mga cp at camera, ginawa niyo nalang. I'm so disappointed. Honestly, if I was also in her position, I'll also be upset.😕😶

Kim Javier hi Kim! thank you for verbalizing (writing) everything I was thinking in reaction to this vlog! 😊 Lilly needs to read this and hopefully understand more and comes back to the Philippines again xo
*I'm friends with the majority of youtubers, but I havnt had the chance to actually speak and hang out with lilly in person yet. It sucks because she's such an inspiration and I would love to actually get to know her* :(
Lilly is so optimistic and exudes so much good and light, when she doesn't get it she just gives more and When she still doesn't get it, it's heart breaking
Zuzane Caparas to be honest, I don't know what generalized means, but I was only talking to the people who weren't listening on purpose. But thanks for listening to Lilly! It must have meant a lot to her! 😊
Riona Valerie Dy ok once again, I really don't know what generalized means, but I was talking to the people who were not listening on purpose. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed tho....
Do what Kevin Hart does at his shows: tell everyone to put their phones away or they'll be asked to leave. I know you would never want to kick a fan out of your show but after the first times you do it, people will start to catch on and listen. I know when I went to Kevin's show, I did NOT take my phone out even an inch, because I didn't want to risk getting kicked out.
There are even signs up all over the venue stating that, if you are caught with your phone, you will be asked to leave. He would remind the audience before he started his set too. And at every show there were less and less people with their phones out.
ItsChizzle That's totally fair. Aziz Ansari does a similar thing sometimes - gives the audience a minute to take some photos/vids, and then asks them to put them away. Good idea for Lilly. Set the expectation of the behavior you expect to see, and be prepared to enforce it. Seeing a show is a privilege.
Humble and Lilly get each other on a creative level and it's so nice to see that. When they were describing the selfie experience, he added some good points and he understood what her frustrations were. That is one good pair!
That's the struggle I live every single day... as a high school teacher. It's so lame. Thanks for calling it disrespect, because that's exactly what it is and I think that that's what a lot of people need to learn.
If she came to Jamaica I would literally die❤️. I love Lilly Singh soo much❤️✨. I hope one day she comes.. I really wanna meet her.. She's my idol, my inspiration and my everything.. I would really be happy if she comes to our little paradise🐾🌸✨🌴☀️
Shawnje Williams remember she has a team and she can't go to all places and remember there is also money involved so yea she also said this in and one of her previous vlogs
I'll never understand people who value a pic rather than seeing Lilly RIGHT THERE. Video idea: *Rant about people who pay more attention to their phones*
Lilly, if you read this, i want you to know that my favorite thing about you is that you are human and humane. In the show business or whatever you call it, image is something real important and your image, the one you chose to show, is a good human being. Thank you for that :)
Me and 2 of my friends were at the back screaming for you lilly even though we were beside at the parents of the kids. We dint took our phones out we just started enjoying the show. We dint got any vip and m&g tix but we're so happy to see you live. Thank you so much for coming to the Philippines! I hope we'll see you again next year!
i'm sorry to hear about this, i felt this at the moment i was in the venue. i'm happy to say i'm one of the few who didnt have their phone up during and before the show. i really appreciated the talk, Lilly. It motivated me so much, and the talk definitely cleared my mind from bad thoughts and a lot of things that let me down. i love you so much Lilly, you inspire me and i'm extremely thankful to meet you and happy to say i lived in the moment. hope you come back 💖
I've been debating whether I should post my experience as a comment but due to popular demand, here it is. Hello! I would just like to clear things up. I was part of those 50 people that they let in for free without a wristband and we were at the left most side of the place (prior to lilly's view). The other youtubers were seated at the right most side along with all of the people who actually got a M&G wristband with lilly. Most of us at that side honestly did not even know that other youtubers were there so please don't exactly blame it on all the people who attended that talk, or let alone that event. And also, we aren't like other countries such as USA, England and Australia where we have VidCon, Playlist Live or Coachella and events like those. Unfortunately, it is sad to hear that she did not exactly enjoy her time here in the Philippines but it is her first time so i'm pretty sure it will be better when she visits again. I'm sorry that now you have a bad image of our country but it's not everyone who should be at fault here. :) EDIT: This incident, in any way, does not make me feel "embarrassed to be a Filipino" or "disappointed with my fellow Filipinos" no. That's besides the point. We shouldn't be so easily turned away from each other like that. It's a simple mistake that I'm sure people will learn from. I really love my country and I'm proud to be a Filipino
Personally, when I watch concerts here in the Philipines, I take a few pictures and put my phone away because I do like to experience the vibe and the concert itself. I paid for the experience.. thats my thinking.. so I do agree with what Lilly says. live in the now.. take it all in.. be present. Having said that, I also totally understand that for filipinos. this may be a ONCE in a lifetime event. Our country isnt always a top choice for artists to visit and perform because of the costs, distance whatever.. Artists dont repeatedly go to our country when they have a world tour.. Plus, tickets are waaayy expensive and thats why people get overexcited and they really do want to capture the moment.. I guess thats it.. some people like to experience it and some people like to capture it.. One thing is for certain though, here in the Philippines, your fans will 120% make you feel loved.
Hey guys! not to sound complainy and all but I do want to clarify even more on what my friend, Kim is trying to say and tell on what I experience during the show. It is so heart breaking to me in a way that affects me so much on how some of the people watching on the show act because I for one really wanted to seize the moment and enjoy the show. So here it is. First of which, I was also on the show with a M&G wristbands and so fortunate that some of my friends who are big fans of lilly, got in including Kim. When the show started and Lilly started to dash to the stage, I can surely assure that most of us opened our devices and started to record and taking pictures of Lilly on stage because most of us were excited to see Lilly talking and performing on stage live. The start of the show that I can clarify that personally the time were everyone on there screen and that is the only time most of us did. When Lilly told us to put our phones away and reminded that we are going to take a picture with, most of us really did an effort to listen to her and really enjoy the show and place our phones away in a short amount of time but because we were so loud, Lilly might pressume that weren't cooperating and being disrespctful. I can see a lot of people really trying to enjoy the show, while being loud because that is how Filipinos are but in the right timing. People were really listening and following on what Lilly was telling us to do and trying to be interactive and really feel the vibe that lilly is trying to make us feel. I can say that I haven't notice a a lot of fans at the same time taking pictures and recording lilly infront because the room was a bit dark and I was standing at the back for the whole entire show especially I'm quite tall enough to see what most of the people sitting were doing. Well yeah I can see some were trying to take a photo of lilly but not necessarily making it too obvious. I can see that everyone or most of us were recording lilly and looking at our screen. While the show is going on, most of us didn't notice the other UA-camrs being there watching at the back, I do for one notice them right across the room. So what I saw is that yeah other UA-camrs were there and some fans were trying to take pictures with them but not most of us, only a few. Yet I do understand that these people tried to take a picture with the other UA-camrs but that is not necessary the best time to do that especially when the show has already began. I can defend and try to point out that Alex, Lauren, & the others left not because they were a distraction at the show but necessarily to get ready for there M&G because I looked at my phone's clock when they left because the door gave me glimmer of light that made me notice that they have left. Also the M&G of Lauren and Alex took way to long that it finished after Lilly's show which I can prove because one of my friend who was with me on the show watching, still saw Alex and Lauren at the M&G area after we have finished watching and met lilly. I can do respect on what lilly and humble were saying, but it doesn't mean we weren't cooperating on what lilly was trying to point out and made us do. I know that some individual's actions weren't acceptable but bare in mind that we really do tried our best to experience the show. You guys should understand that us here in the Philipines, which is a third-world country, don't have much big UA-cam events like Vidcon, Playlist Live and etc... that we can see UA-camrs that we love and appreciate to the extent of showing our excitement that we can't contain as much as we wanted because we don't know if this is the only we can see them ever. Fanfest is only oppurtinity, yearly, to see these great and inspiring Creators especially the tickets were free which made people who can't afford feel more appreciative and excited to just go these kind of events because it is simply by not used to in these types of events. I can understand why people tried to record the show because they don't know if they'll ever see there idols face to face. Most of us who went there were teenage girls, and we all know that they can be very loud and crazy but not all as well especially here in the Philippines. Lastly, it's hard to hear someone I admire unfortunately did not enjoy as much in visiting our country for the first time and is hoping to come back. It's just sad to hear on what she had experience and I like to just say sorry on how some's action weren't acceptable in any matter. I really feel sad that the image of us fans of hers here in the Philippines is bad. I hope you guys do understand on most of us were feeling that we can be oblivious in times in all of our excitement. So that is it. I've told you on what I saw. No hate against Lilly and Humble in any certain way. So you hope to understand and take care.
im so sorry boo... that's how tech change us 10yrs ago and it gets worst.. hope you still have a plan to come visit here again to pamper yourself and the experience the most beautiful places in the Philippines... love you lil
Almost cried when I heard about your experience in Philippines! I would've loved to be there in the crowd listening to your show. Knowing the time, effort and heart you put into every show, it just breaks my heart that you had a disappointing crowd. I didn't manage to get tickets to the London show (which was the nearest to where I live in the UK currently) and also the Malaysia show (I'm from Malaysia but I'm not going back until after your show), but I would've loved to watch your show and meet you. I hope I'll have other chances to meet you in the future! Until then, I'll watch you everyday (not trying to be creepy) and smile when your videos appear in my subscription!
I just came back from 2.5 days away with the team I work with and I don't know how you do it Lilly! I find that travelling dynamic so intense and I start losing perspective. Mad respect girl!
As Filipino myself, I feel sorry for the negative vibes you experienced. I love you Lilly! Hope to see you in NZ. Crossing my fingers. If I couldn't coz I'm a RN and you know how it is, duty first) please know that you amaze me! Keep spreading good vibes! 😘
Lilly, What I DONT want to see is you backtracking, apologizing or clarifying your thoughts in the next 1-3 vlogs. You said nothing wrong, PLEASE. I am getting tired of youtubers spending 1-5 minutes of each vlog apologizing or clarifying their previous remarks. You have entitled to have human feeling, Lilly! Love you.
Lilly, you only have seen the 0.01% beauty of the Philippine nature, and that crowd is just 15% of your Filipino fans. The remaining 85% were in their room, watching live youtube fanfest, still shouting even you couldn't hear it.
This upsets me so much! I was unable to go to Lilly's show due to be away at school/exams but I wanted to go SO bad! Then there is people we go FOR FREE and don't even care about the show!?!?!?! Like if I had gone my phone would have been gone in two seconds when she said that and not touched again till the end! I would have consumed every word and feeling of the entire experience and not taken my eye off Lilly for a second! Can't believe people would do that! There is so much more to life than some pictures!!!!
im so sorry that you had this experience with your show i have know idea why if someone had the possibility to see you in person and listen to you giving your amazing message that they wouldn't treat you with the respect you deserve i'm sorry Lilly😔❤❤
As a Filipino, I am so disappointed with what happened. I really wanted to be there to watch you because I look up to you so much. I feel bad because you felt disrespected when we are known to be hospitable people. I am so sorry.
The way you're so busy but still make time to make the vlogs unique and include all the graphics and amazing editing is otherworldly. I know you love what you do.
Such disappointment to the people who watched the BAWSE show in the Philippines (some of course not all). I am very sorry as a filipino even though I was not able to go and now hearing Lilly talk about what happened in the BAWSE show makes me sad. I still wish that Lilly goes to the Philippines even after this experience.
does anyone else get butterflies in their stomach and start crying tears of happiness when something great happens to lilly or when she starts her shows ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm genuinely amazed, that there are people out there who would disobey Lilly! Like how do you even do that? You have that incredible, energetic, passionate person in front of you asking you to do something as little as put your phone away and you just go "nah" to that? I will never understand...
I love how Lilly is always so grateful and just always Thanking us for the opportunities she gets! She is the sweetest! And most hardworking gal ever! Love ya lil! ❤️
this breaks my heart. when you have an important message to get across and no one is listening. me and 3 of my friends weren't able to watch the Bawse book show 2 of them even flew from the province. I'm so angry that you and the show got disrespected like that. Lilly come back please let #TeamSuper alone watch the show. don't make it a free show for just any one to come and not pay any attention and respect. #teamairport
I feel you on the audience thing. I stopped going to live shows because it got way too annoying trying to watch through a sea of phones. Use your eyes people and enjoy it for real 😛.
awe Lilly, first of all I wasn't there, but I want to apologise on behalf of those people. Just know that the people who actually wanted to listen to you matter and they were completely present in the situation. you are such an inspiration and I am thankful every day that I can listen and absorb all the wonderful vibes you give. Thank you
Lily! I hope you get to read this. I just want to say that as a Filipino fan, this doesn't represent the minority of Filipino fans that actually have respect and proper manners during performances. It does sadly represent a large majority of Filipino fans that can't distinguish a celebrity from a performer. I don't want to throw shade or anything. It's just that's the reality we are facing right now as a people and it's something we together should be working on. All the more, thank you for coming and I can't stress enough how happy I am you could experience the Philippines; there are lots more beaches and foods to enjoy, I promise ^_^ Props to you for slaying and being the bawse through this. Sa mga fellow Filipino fans, gawin natin ang best natin to learn from this together. Magkaisa tayo at matuto tayo sa nangyari. Wag tayong gumaya sa mga walang respeto o maging manhid sa mga pangyayari. Let's at both ends be respectful (fan to fan, fan to performer). Magbago na tayo. #onelove
We love you :'D It's sad that the show dint go as planned but i am sure they will understand your point after watching this vlog. We do respect you a lot lilly :)
Lilly, I totally understand everything you and humble were trying to convey to us about being in the moment and taking everything in. We do many times forget that taking selfies and videos isn't being involved it's us recording and just trying to get footage. You both made such valid points. Thank you for being transparent enough to explain that logic to us. You truly opened my eyes to realize that I have to live in the moment. Bask in the awesomeness of any show or event I go to...Thank you
Sorry you had to experience this, Lilly. Sometimes people do forget to live in the moment. It sucks though that it happened here in Manila. Hopefully one day you can still come back to our beautiful country.
This is so disappointing :(. Guyss let's stop this culture we have please. Every concert, shows, most audience just have their phones on their hands filming or capturing photos nonstop when the whole point of those shows is to give enjoyment to the audience not make the audience like media people. Her talk was supposed to engage the audience. Inspire. Lily was trying to pass a message. I'm so sad because I really wanted to hear this message, get something from it, be inspired and of course get to see lilly live and not just see her on my phone screen but sadly, I ran out of tickets :(. I took my low chances and still went to the venue the day of the show hoping I'd see her and somehow get a ticket but I knew that that wouldn't happen. So disappointing that a lot of fans wanted to actually hear her talk but some of you guys didn't show respect :(. I love you Lilly! I hope you come back here soon and I hope I get to see you and hug you 😘. Will be reading BAWSE for sure ❤. And Humble, I love ya too!
Lilly please comeback next year! I promise to finally get tickets! I legit cried when the tickets were sold out cause I wouldn't be able to see you😢 so please come back next yearr!!! I lobe you lilly! 🙏💖
I'm so happy Humble's back in the vlogs! Lilly, thank you for being you and for always doing your best and for being sweet and understanding, I'm just rambling now ❤️
I wish I had the opportunity to see your show im sorry you were so disrespected and I know you don't want to be mean but you should kick them out if they can't respect you you bring such a powerful message and brighten up Alot of people day
I am from the PH and now I understand why tickets were never available online. 😔 they should have sold tickets to people who truly wanted to listen. Sorry Lilly you had to go through that! We hope you go back here! 😘
I agree with the show being free. There are people, like me, who is willing to pay to get tickets, feel inspired, be present and meet Lilly. There are more deserving people for the tickets who would make Lilly feel more respected and happy and hyped. People who would listen to her and make her show better. I was devastated that there were no more Manila tickets for the book show. I wish I went there knowing the 50 slots open, make her feel appreciated and hug her so tight
It genuinely makes me sad that you experienced that. I'm sure you're becoming increasingly aware of just how little awareness people have. Lack of self-awareness is the reason why the world is the way it is in the first place. This is what leaders contend with. I have no doubt in my mind that you can take it on, though. Keep your head up. Keep spreading your message. It will reach those that it is meant to reach. You are and will continue to make a difference in the world. With love (and Skittles), A fellow unicorn
so just some thoughts here...it might be a good idea to have somone prepare the audience before hand ..like no cells until meet n greets. This isn't unique to your show Lilly it happens alot for all types of shows. we live in a world that is all about apperance and statuses based on who she or he is with. Nothing wrong with setting guidelines before hand..you that big of a star Lilly rawk on!!
Personally I missed seeing lilly in the UK and honestly I was really upset. She didn't deserve the disrepspect but the fact she still gave everyone rude in there a second chance is exactly why I love her. She's so kind, but people shouldn't take that for granted. I LOVE YOU LILLY
I hope this could help explain why we take so much pictures and vids in this kind of events. you see Philippines is not a really rich country its a thirdworld country especially their lifestyle, most of the people couldnt really afford to buy tix to watch international performers in concert or events, it's usually the "rich ones" that usually get to experience it so having a FREE event that features international performers from other countries is a very rare opportunity and because it rarely happens all we could do is to have a remembrance and that is by taking pictures and videos that we could show to our friends that couldnt able to come, u said they should live in the moment and have fun but i promse u thats their way of having fun. the tickets were sold out in less than 5 minutes of releasing it thats how high the anticipation was for this event. I know u would take this positively cause you're really nice it's just im filipino and i know how they feel and understand their actions. I am very sorry about your disappointment during the event, also sorry if u felt disrespected but I hope you still enjoy and hopefully consider to comeback 😊😙
I am on the fanfest in Manila and it's so fun lilly you are so pretty in personal omg I can't believe that I see you personal at the Manila fanfest and I am a Filipino love you lilly
I think it was a blessing in disguise that my phone went broken before the fanfest so I could just see the whole show only with my eyes. I really love you Lilly and in behalf of the people who made you upset, I would like to say sorry. But don't worry, Filipinos really really really love you A LOT and we really just want to record everything because this kind of experience is like almost very rare to happen especially to those die hard fans. Just imagine how far our country from your place it's almost impossible to have this kind of show frequently. But all in all, you really made us very happy Lilly, to see you performing live is surely a very memorable thing for a fan like me. LOVE LOVE
I'm a Filipino and I'm happy that you're honest and you gave it all, I didn't come to your show because I don't have the money to fly there and buy a ticket and this happening was really not great, I didn't expect that my co-Filipinos did do this. I hope that next if people will go here in the country they should be more respectful and always pay attention. In the live stream everyone is finding Lilly and still so happy and paying attention while the fortunate people that could go and meet her and listen to her words didn't do well and didn't enjoy the moment. For the other Filipinos I would like to say sorry for this not so great meet up and also I'm not blaming you Filipinos because I know that you're just trying to capture this moment but should not be always. Peace.
IISuperwomanII Sorry that you got disrespected. I'm so disappointed 😔
IISuperwomanII So sorry Lilly :( I wish I was there to see you too. I hope you enjoyed the show somehow.
I wish I could go to your shows, you're so amazing and inspiring!! You exude so much good you deserve all the skittles and good things
IISuperwomanII sorry that you got disrespected and what hits me was I was there
so disappointed this happened in the philippines :( as a filipino, it was nice to see her visit the country, but to know this experience happened there was so disappointing. watching it back on your phones is NOTHING compared to being present there in the moment and taking it all in.
I'm so disappoint too :( Hopefully she'll have a better experience there the next time she visits!
Jessemae D same here. I was so excited for her to go there because I know that the Philippines is one of the best places to go to. And to see that her experience wasn't as good as I thought it would be is upsetting...
Jessemae D blame the free tickets so irratating
Cassidy Perrin I totally agree I kinda feel embarrassed being a filipino
$30. In malaysia it's rm358🙃 i wanna migrate.
Just enjoy the moment, that others wish they had.
that's so sad. I really want to meet Lilly but I can't... and seeing people that have opportunity but they act like this
Yuki SnowDay check out my channel and sub
please dont judge them. just understand why they acted the way they did, maybe theyre just stnnned or something. lets just look in the nice side
Actually, even if it's not Lilly Singh, Filipino cannot put down their camera and cellphones down. I'm a Filipino that's why I know.
best fans probably are from Team super New Zealand, they surprised Lilly. they organized the surprise as an audience. we're not that disciplined.
But i do completely agree with your comment!!
Honestly, if I was also in her position, I'll also be upset.😕😶
iRynieVKBae typical filipinos

Kim Javier hi Kim! thank you for verbalizing (writing) everything I was thinking in reaction to this vlog! 😊 Lilly needs to read this and hopefully understand more and comes back to the Philippines again xo

Cha Con you're welcome' i'm glad to know that someone feels the same way :)
I'm so sorry people wouldn't listen to you and didn't pay attention. Lilly you deserve a lot better than that.
kalynn grace check out my channel and sub
It's humbling how grateful you are and how much you appreciate everything 🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿 truly an inspiration ❤️
she's honestly so inspirational! (and also very tired; bless after all of those events, even her eyes are red)
*I'm friends with the majority of youtubers, but I havnt had the chance to actually speak and hang out with lilly in person yet. It sucks because she's such an inspiration and I would love to actually get to know her* :(
If you are reading this right now, I hope you have a lovely day ☺️💞
Lilly is so optimistic and exudes so much good and light, when she doesn't get it she just gives more and When she still doesn't get it, it's heart breaking
*its saturday night and im in watching superwomen's vlog with barS of chocolate*
wouldnt want it any other way tbh
TalkThatTalk Same

Come on, who _isn't_
With Kit Kat 😂😂
When the teacher keeps talking and you tryna act like you're paying attention 😂
same 😂
Caitlin Chicken haha that was our favourite part lol!
are you fuckimg kidding?
#first comment! I feel sorry for Lilly, she got no attention at the show and people didn't listen...
Juhi v please don't generalize:( I listened to Lilly😔
Juhi v please dont generalize its not all people, they just got overwelmed
Zuzane Caparas to be honest, I don't know what generalized means, but I was only talking to the people who weren't listening on purpose. But thanks for listening to Lilly! It must have meant a lot to her! 😊
Riona Valerie Dy ok once again, I really don't know what generalized means, but I was talking to the people who were not listening on purpose. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed tho....
...ok I get it that the audience kept on taking pictures but you have no right to say that the Filipinos don't listen that's very offensive
ItsChizzle
That's honestly a great idea
There are even signs up all over the venue stating that, if you are caught with your phone, you will be asked to leave. He would remind the audience before he started his set too. And at every show there were less and less people with their phones out.
ItsChizzle That's totally fair. Aziz Ansari does a similar thing sometimes - gives the audience a minute to take some photos/vids, and then asks them to put them away. Good idea for Lilly. Set the expectation of the behavior you expect to see, and be prepared to enforce it. Seeing a show is a privilege.
Love that she cares so much about actually getting her message across. She has a strong purpose to help people. Lilly is the best 💕
Humble and Lilly get each other on a creative level and it's so nice to see that. When they were describing the selfie experience, he added some good points and he understood what her frustrations were. That is one good pair!
When I saw all the phones filming her I knew she would rant about. But like I feel so bad for her.
That's the struggle I live every single day... as a high school teacher. It's so lame. Thanks for calling it disrespect, because that's exactly what it is and I think that that's what a lot of people need to learn.
Lilly Trinidad isn't on only Caribbean island to visit. Other ppl in the Caribbean wanna hug your face too
Shawnje Williams Exactly ‼️❤️
Shawnje Williams and people in Africa too!!!
Exactly! I wish she could come to Jamaica one day.
I've NEVER been this early .Lilly, you a freaking BAWSE😉👊
Lilly, if you read this, i want you to know that my favorite thing about you is that you are human and humane. In the show business or whatever you call it, image is something real important and your image, the one you chose to show, is a good human being. Thank you for that :)
Me and 2 of my friends were at the back screaming for you lilly even though we were beside at the parents of the kids. We dint took our phones out we just started enjoying the show. We dint got any vip and m&g tix but we're so happy to see you live. Thank you so much for coming to the Philippines! I hope we'll see you again next year!
i love your positivity and endurance when you said even after this im gonna have a bawse performance and thats what i love about you💖
I didn't even notice that she wasn't wearing makeup at the start, she is that beautiful
superwoman , thank you for your honesty, we appreciate it
Us Filipinos (🇵🇭) will show how much we love our favorite celebrities and I feel like Lllly would really like hanging out in other parts of the PI!💖💖💖
i'm sorry to hear about this, i felt this at the moment i was in the venue. i'm happy to say i'm one of the few who didnt have their phone up during and before the show. i really appreciated the talk, Lilly. It motivated me so much, and the talk definitely cleared my mind from bad thoughts and a lot of things that let me down. i love you so much Lilly, you inspire me and i'm extremely thankful to meet you and happy to say i lived in the moment. hope you come back 💖
I love when Kyle was filming😂
It breaks my heart to see that people don't listen to your important message. You deserve so much respect, love you Lilly❤️
I've been debating whether I should post my experience as a comment but due to popular demand, here it is.

EDIT: This incident, in any way, does not make me feel "embarrassed to be a Filipino" or "disappointed with my fellow Filipinos" no. That's besides the point. We shouldn't be so easily turned away from each other like that. It's a simple mistake that I'm sure people will learn from. I really love my country and I'm proud to be a Filipino
Please like so that a lot more people will see and maybe even Lilly. Thank you :)
Huhu, sana mabasa 'to ni Lilly! :(
Personally, when I watch concerts here in the Philipines, I take a few pictures and put my phone away because I do like to experience the vibe and the concert itself.
I WAS WATCHING A LILLY VIDEO but a new one is just as good😂
that hufflepuff chick OMG YOU ARE THE REALLY FIRST PERSON!
Marzipan The Unicorn I KNOW I'M LEGIT SHOCKED
that hufflepuff chick I'M LEGIT SHOCKED THAT SOMEONE IS ACTUALLY FIRST, I DIDN'T THINK THAT ANYONE WAS ACTUALLY FIRST 😂😂😂😂.
Yes please come back here! 😢😢 and by that time hopefully no could see you in person. 😊😊
Frustrated MT check out my channel and sub
Lilly, What I DONT want to see is you backtracking, apologizing or clarifying your thoughts in the next 1-3 vlogs. You said nothing wrong, PLEASE. I am getting tired of youtubers spending 1-5 minutes of each vlog apologizing or clarifying their previous remarks.
You have entitled to have human feeling, Lilly! Love you.
I love that you share your thoughts ❤️❤️
Lilly, you only have seen the 0.01% beauty of the Philippine nature, and that crowd is just 15% of your Filipino fans. The remaining 85% were in their room, watching live youtube fanfest, still shouting even you couldn't hear it.
That's so sad Lilly! 😭😭😭. Hope the rest of the tour goes well.
Has a mini heart attack when I saw this goes for 20 minutes!!!
Also I'm a new UA-camr if you would like to check out my channel xox
The way you're so busy but still make time to make the vlogs unique and include all the graphics and amazing editing is otherworldly. I know you love what you do.
Any Filipinos?!
Shar M hai😂
Shar M here
Shar M ohhh yeaahhh 🤘🏼
Shar M you mean RUDEipinos? That is unfortunate that both her shows turned out to be bad experiences for her.
Jill Johnson Hey, no need to be so rude. It was just one experience, no need to call them that. One love
I Love when you state everything that's around you with gratitude. You are blessed
Lilly I'm so sorry about your Show in the Phillippines. I myself am Filipino and I actually am disappointed in theyre behavior. I'm so sorry😭❤️
I'm genuinely amazed, that there are people out there who would disobey Lilly! Like how do you even do that? You have that incredible, energetic, passionate person in front of you asking you to do something as little as put your phone away and you just go "nah" to that? I will never understand...
I love Lilly's vlogs!! 🔥🔥
Me too I love them too
She has some great vlogs like u
I love how Lilly is always so grateful and just always Thanking us for the opportunities she gets! She is the sweetest! And most hardworking gal ever! Love ya lil! ❤️
HEYYY LILY I LOVE YOU! ❤️
Awww how adorable was the little time decked out in pink with the sunglasses. Lauren and Alex was so cute w their q n a question posed by Lilly.😊
this breaks my heart. when you have an important message to get across and no one is listening. me and 3 of my friends weren't able to watch the Bawse book show 2 of them even flew from the province. I'm so angry that you and the show got disrespected like that. Lilly come back please let #TeamSuper alone watch the show. don't make it a free show for just any one to come and not pay any attention and respect.
#teamairport
humble is such a good guy now that i've seen more of him
I feel you on the audience thing.
#onelove
Lilly, I am so sorry that happened to you. You deserve so much better! The show was AMAZING! When I saw it in toronto, I was blown away!
Bask in the awesomeness of any show or event I go to...Thank you
We love you Lily!!!
Amelia B. Lilly lol
IT'S "LILLY". THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
The transitions are always so amazing. Your editing skills are slaying my life.
omg i could imagine lilly with really wavy short hair. and look stunning.
I was in YTFF Manila but I was in the show, but I was listening to Lilly because I really really wanted to meet her,and I wanted to give respect
I got How to be a BAWSE today!!!!
Julie Thulsi
Enjoy :) x
how you're sweating you're not wearing clothes 😂 LMAO Lilly's a savage.
Lilly and lauren are like actual best friends goals
Hey #TeamSuper!
Hey!
Tahjae Young hi
Tahjae Young ii
Heyoooo
Tahjae Young y pree
I'm so happy Humble's back in the vlogs! Lilly, thank you for being you and for always doing your best and for being sweet and understanding, I'm just rambling now ❤️
I wish I had the opportunity to see your show im sorry you were so disrespected and I know you don't want to be mean but you should kick them out if they can't respect you you bring such a powerful message and brighten up Alot of people day
I am from the PH and now I understand why tickets were never available online. 😔 they should have sold tickets to people who truly wanted to listen. Sorry Lilly you had to go through that! We hope you go back here! 😘
Where's the Notification Squad???
With love (and Skittles),
A fellow unicorn
You always grinding , always working hard , always on the ball : I appreciate that - you inspire me
RACHEL IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAAAAAL -- TOO CUTE
MEOW
OML, yet again Lilly Singh has inspired me to love Philipines more than ever😢 homesick I can't even meet you there..
so just some thoughts here...it might be a good idea to have somone prepare the audience before hand ..like no cells until meet n greets. This isn't unique to your show Lilly it happens alot for all types of shows. we live in a world that is all about apperance and statuses based on who she or he is with. Nothing wrong with setting guidelines before hand..you that big of a star Lilly rawk on!!
Lily is such a good inspiration😊❤️ People like her make the world better
Morning Manila rhymes with vanilla😂 Lilly makes me laugh so much
Personally I missed seeing lilly in the UK and honestly I was really upset.
Who else is watching without nail polish on? 😜
you animal!😜
The Comedy Hangnail hi
I think it was a blessing in disguise that my phone went broken before the fanfest so I could just see the whole show only with my eyes. I really love you Lilly and in behalf of the people who made you upset, I would like to say sorry. But don't worry, Filipinos really really really love you A LOT and we really just want to record everything because this kind of experience is like almost very rare to happen especially to those die hard fans. Just imagine how far our country from your place it's almost impossible to have this kind of show frequently. But all in all, you really made us very happy Lilly, to see you performing live is surely a very memorable thing for a fan like me. LOVE LOVE
Thats what happen when (most)rich kids got into the show more than the people who deserves to be in the show. Not surprising with my fellow filipinos.
Peace.
