Your a hell of a shot honestly! 8 shots in rapid succession 3-4" group. I'm impressed.

I like those Savage pistols. There is also the 1915 (enclosed hammer) and the 1917 (different grip). Of course available in 32acp & 380acp. For anyone interested in these Savage pistols, there is a great reference book out there; Savage Pistols, by Bailey Brower JR., published by Stackpole Books. You wouldn't believe the variations & improvements made during the life of this pistol. Would be nice if you could get your hands on a couple others, like the old Remington model 51 and the Harrington & Richardson self-loading pistol, that were U.S. made to compete with the Savage and Colt pistols. It would be neat to see your take on those on video.

Bat Masterson was a smart gunfighter, know when to retire and find something else to do. Few others live to a ripe old age.
The little Savage pistols are some of the really fun ones and the .32 Auto is nothing to sneer at, even today.
    Great video.

Old Bat knew what he was about, back in the day. As we do today. Unless drugged to the gills, NOBODY WANTS TO LEAK...

These weren’t on my radar until I was injured and had to work light duty in the property room back in 2017. They have not gotten rid of anything since the 70’s, and they had me identify the firearms. They had over a dozen of these savage pistols. They also had a ton of pocket hammerless, vest pocket autos, classic smiths, Colt revolvers, and a shocking number of Dan Wesson revolvers.

Oh, I just hate that sort of story. Please tell me they sold them to a gun store who will resell them to collectors! I used to see similar things in the property room of my old agency too. Broke my heart when they destroyed them. Roy

@@fmgpubs no sir! They are still rusting away in the basement of the SO. I did get some old school learning in this last weekend! I took “Robbery Prevention In Non-Permissive Enviroments” with Darryl Bolke, Chuck Haggard, and Cecil Burch using my little S&W Centennial. The guys with trick 365’s really had no advantage over those of us using Jframes.

Years ago I bought a Colt 1908 in .25 ACP. I bought it because it was built the same year that my dad was born (1910). It was the only firearm that I actually shot my chrono, right through the rear sensor. Ooops. I may still have some brass somewhere but the little gun was traded on something more practical. Thanks, Roy!

Nice. I have a 1907 that I picked up for Mom in 1974, and inherited in 2007. Only have the original mag, wouldn’t mind a spare. It’s no match for my .45 or today’s guns, but a quick 10+1 of .32 auto sure beats harsh language! Note, if you take it down, make sure you get reassembly right. It’s possible to make an error that will cause the pistol to double.🙄

I have one made in 1919... yes an 07. Now that magazine is HARD to load (got it at an estate sale recently.) Original Magazine. I can just get 7 rounds in it. Really it is not a bad gun. Real hard to rack so kids would have a very difficult time chambering a round (as well as my wife!) I'll disassemble the mag tomorrow and see if the spring is kinked or what.
