Fighting on horseback is really cool,it’s one of the defining features that represent medieval knights. Even though Kingdom Come Deliverance allows us to replicate this, pulling it off is quite challenging. So I took the time to figure out how mounted combat works until I could land melee attacks with ease; And in this video,I’ll teach you how to do it in a simplified manner. Kingdom Come Deliverance is a medieval rpg game set in 15th century Bohemia, developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver.
The sound of the hits landing on opponents while on horseback is so satisfying, especially if you miss as much as I do.
Honestly one of the things that makes this game too easy is how you rarely see enemies on horseback. As soon as you get a horse you become extremely OP because 99% of enemies are on foot and lack any way of dealing with horses (they rarely shoot at you, use pikes/etc). In fact, I dont think I ever saw any enemy on horseback after the prologue...
I mean I guess but if you have a bad or low level horse it will buck you off and you can easily be pulled off your horse especially if you're using pebbles or something. I wish they added more mounted enemy encounters with the cumans. Cuman horse archers in a random encounter would be terrifying.
Too easy? This game is impossible for me. Everyone is always blocking everything I do. Master strikes are the only chance I have but I don't always get it right and get hurt. You can't heal you can bandage yourself so I just keep dying. I don't know what people are smoking thinking this game is easy.
Master strikes are unfortunately the only practical way to overcome most enemies. Pulling it off gets a lot easier the higher a weapon skill level is,because the window for it gets larger. Spend time practicing with Cpt.Bernard using long or short sword; Then buy a Stinger, any shield and plate armor set of your choosing. You're all set for combat after that.
Wow, I am so glad I found you. KCD was waiting for me since its release. I'm flabbergasted at your level of montage for a small YT account. Keep doing what you're doing. You are the finest UA-camr that makes content adbout KCD.
Take care,
sincerely, new fan of yours.
At first, mounted combat was difficult but get used to it later on to decimate multiple enemies.
Yes,just like a lot of things in this game,it does get easier and fun with a bit of practice.
The guard talking trash to the guy you killed "well then, was it worth it?" cracked me up. Another great and instructive vid. Thanks for posting
Yes,that's funny indeed.😂 Thanks for watching,mcgillicuddy.👍
Only today, before I found this video, did I actually first try to fight from horseback and it makes group fights seem like a walk in the park. Great vid!
instruction unclear , my henry now spamming throat-singing
i love this kinda content and your voice helps :D
Bruh i think it's AI. it's so good either way
I always for the thrust to be more effective at a full gallop. It takes a bit of timing but it can deliver a good amount of damage when done properly.
NICE WORK! This i'll have to try out. Thank you kindly! 😊👍
Goodluck,Yvinn.👍
Fantastic guide thanks for the upload.
You're welcome,Funkester. Thanks for watching!👍

Thanks for watching,Bones.👍
Damn man, where were you when the game first dropped?
Loving your videos in my preKCD2 playthroughs of KCD1.
Thanks for watching,DSlyde.👍
i hope Warhorse sends you a powerful pc. Good work brother
I just got the game and already have 40 hours, great video this helps a ton. I don't know if I can bring myself to trade in Pebble though D:
I use polearm on horseback, if I need to use it on foot I crouch pull out a torch so I can do master attack and one-shot almost anyone.
I was hoping you were going to present an analysis of horse speed/momentum transferring greater damage capacities to the weapon used. I heard that might be simulated in KCD. Is it?
Let's hope it'll be there and stuff like this for KCD II
Thoughts on perks for your horse? I'm trying to decide if I should get the perk Warhorse, but I'm worried about the part that say, "at least as long as no one hits him." Does this mean with the perk equipped my horse will buck me off as soon as they get hit or is it just a slight chance. I'm actually wanting to fight from horseback mostly. I just don't want to put a hindrance on my mission with a debuff. Thank you for ahead of time for anyone who can actually answer this question or help me.
That means there is the same probability as without perk
If somebody hit your horse
Point on the long sword works well from the gallop
hope that this is more refined in the next game
Highly informative. Sub.
What a quality video series for KCD on this channel!
Great service to the community.
Thanks for watching,Gavan.👍
I just started playing KCD, and I decimate enemies from horseback...
Decimate actually means; To kill 1 in 10 (hence Deci...)
Hopefully with your guides, I can improve my percentage.
I'm not waiting 6 years to try KCDII, I look forward to your guides.
6:45 hahahaha AAAAAaaaa....
Bruh i have 4000hrs in this game. I didnt know on horde u press and hold. Then release for the attack. I swear i mastered hitting the trigger to attack 5 meters away from an enemy. The delay man.... Lol its okay to laugh man. Godbless ya.
Wow,timing the release was already hard enough. Yours must've been much more challenging to get used to.😬
Omg me too 🤣
@@ThatOtherGamerit is very annoying
Could you teach us how to shoot on horse back?
Maybe,it's a tall order.😂 I might look into it.
It really bugs me when I'm in a game trying to do cavalry combat & they swing downward instead of in a forward direction, effectively wasting all that forward momentum you get from riding horse back.
I don't know if it's a bug, but in combat I sometimes fall off my horse when run past soldiers holding spears or polearm.
I've seen a perk that gives you a better chance of staying on your mount when someone one tries to remove you, so it might not be a bug.
they use it as a pike
It is a feature. You also have the "Unhorse" perk. If an enemy hits your horse or damages the saddle enough, the horse might throw you. That is why if I do not point the horse well for a swing, I prefer to gallop into a ram.
horses spook when enemies are nearby, you need a horse with high courage
That’s the one of the purposes of a spear and pole arm in irl so no surprise it’s in game
It’s a shame that hitting someone with a 500kg horse doesn’t hurt them. Only the weapons do any damage.
Stabing is much far easier and deadlier.
Playing mount and blade will probably help me hah
Do all longswords have the same reach?
No
@@Tripact_of_fireHow would you know which is longer and which is shorter then?
@@forests.9597 well.. that's the ridiculous part. You don't. Longswords can be as small as a shortsword and as big as a greatsword. Because they were custom made for specific needs they were either created based on a generalized measurement of people or made for a single person. For instance a 1.75 guy would carry a 1 meter or 95 cm blade length sword while a guy who is 2 meters tall would most likely carry a 1.2 meter sword. You can't even distinguish them from the hilt because it can be one handed, one and a half handed, two handed or even two and half handed. And that's not even the half of it, basically any bladed weapon where the blade is longer than wider can be called a longsword , which like i said is a little confusing and ridiculous
I still prefer horse archer strategy...
