I was hoping for a better continuation of the story. Maybe like- the other faction attacked the chosen 5 as they didn't want to share the map with others. When the remaining colony people rebelled, war happened and Hope's husband managed to escape with the teens, rest all died. This way they continue the Hope's archeological dreams and it would have been a better way to sell the survivors type embark, and that the pawns don't have any bionics.
Count me as another vote against using AI art. It is not just a potential monetary loss for artists (even if you didn't pay for commissions yourself you are still increasing the AI art footprint), it's a cultural loss for us all.
RIP best doctor/warden combo Odette. Also, hope you don't overuse AI thumbnails. Your old one is much nicer, and using AI art shows negative opinion of artist value.
Hard disagree. This one pops much more while the old one looks amateur. Plus, "using AI art shows negative opinion of artist value", what? Yeah, Quill *always* used to commission artists before this dangnab AI came along. All these starving artists would own homes if only these small creators wouldn't use AI. Don't project intent on others; it's not his fault you're offended by something that doesn't affect you anyways. Complain at the ones who have means (and are expected) to use artists in the first place.
@@AngelicHunk I never said quill should commission anybody and have art made. I said using the AI art shows negative opinion of the value of making said art. I get not being able to afford commissioning, but showing you'll use a tool that actively harms artists sets an example for others. Also, you can disagree on aesthetic, not really my place to tell you what you like.

But then I still completely disagree that simply using AI art indicates a negative opinion about making art. The existence of the tool doesn't harm anyone; the use of the tool doesn't inherently harm anyone; it's the use of the tool instead of human service that harms anyone. If Quill isn't paying to use the AI (implying he could instead pay a person) and is otherwise doing the work himself, why ask him to stop? (Agreed to disagree on the looks. And, tbh, I do roll my eyes at derpy, heavily flawed AI art-even in casual usage like for a mod thumbnail. I just don't have a problem with its looks in general.)

@@Ghostdawg176 This. There's nobody losing anything because of this. Quill has never custom commisioned artwork for his video thumbnails and I doubt he has any intention to ever. This is the exact kind of personal use situation AI generated image tools were made for. Save your disdain for the big companies actually attempting to use AI to phase out paying artists in the production of actual art, people.

I just saw that you've gone with AI art for the thimbnail. I REALLY don't think that's the right move. I'd rather no thumbnail at all TBH. It's making me consider unsubbing, I'll admit. I hope you don't use any more in the future.

Yup. Quill has started using AI art more often for thumbnails which is frankly quite disappointing to see.
