At the end of the day there isn't many of us that have seen us win owt.
That's why most of us who have supported Newcastle are mainly patient aboot us getting a trophy despite PSR holding us back, and unfairly in my personal opinion.
Our time will come though.

It's a bit tricky as we don't have European footy next season. Longstaff is one needed for thise home griwn player numbers in a squad.. But we need to improve on the Burn situation, Miggy and maybe Wilson, though he scores when he plays. But 3 improvements would be a good step. If Bruno is sold, boom, more than 100M quid to spend on top of the current 100M. 🎉 Bruno leaving won't kill us, might be a great springboard for the future.
We are never going to improve keeping the likes of Longstaff , Almiron and the forever injured Callum Wilson. They are simply not good enough and despite numerous chances have failed to raise their game. Time to ditch the sentimentality and move on as a club.

@@smanvir94I honestly think selling Callum Wilson at this stage would be hugely counter productive, even if NUFC does directly replace him. Much better off bringing in a 3rd striker and keep Callum Wilson as 2nd/3rd choice depending on who you bring in.

When you were talking about Bruno I totally think the same. The love the fans show him he actually loves our fans, if he was to go abroad on another club he would probably regret it if they never showed there love like us, plus like you say with big Joe, and the project. He’s a Geordie now.
I for one am glad we didn't get into the Conference. It is a minor competition and even if we'd won it other clubs would've mocked and berated the achievement, also not very financially lucrative in the grand scheme. We can now concentrate domestically and give it everything with a better squad, hopefully fewer injuries with less games and often a weeks preparation between matches.

We need to keep Isak, Bruno, Gordon, Botman, Joelinton and Tino and build the rest of the team around those.
Let’s hope Sandro and Hall will be another in that group. That would be eight youngsters with potentially a long future ahead of them.

You can't say they were bad signings. At the time we were facing relegation we needed experienced premier league players and they both played apart in us staying in premier league. Money well spent in my opinion.

Been common knowledge that newcastle are 1 of the teams at the limit of the spending, let's hope new sponsorship, sales etc can plug the gap but I still fear Bruno may be away for the 100m

I know its nearly 40 miles away but theres always the option of possibly playing at darlingtons old ground the northern echo arena i think it was called. It only holds 26,000 but if it was only for one season while st james park is getting renevated might be worth doing if it benefits the club in the long term

Seriously, i have a suspicion that at the beginning of next season our goalkeeping department will be Mamardashvili, Pope, Trafford, Gillespie. Nick Pope will likely then move on in January. Id also like us to try and pinch Neil Cuttler before he begins his rumoured employment with Wolves.
I would sell Pope his age and bad shoulder injury worst injury for a keeper and just offer Dubravka another contract to keep as number 2
