Largely due to Detroit’s low cost of living drawing people from cities where they can’t afford to live in anymore

Well, sort of. The low home prices are attractive to people who have been priced out of other markets. You can sell your house in California for $700,000. Buy and rehab or restore an average home in Detroit $150k and still come out money ahead.

The rumors of Detroit's demise has been greatly exaggerated. It will take some time, but I believe it will become a vibrant, major city again eventually. Good news.

saying it's greatly exaggerated IS great exaggeration of its coming back. losing more than million peopke, jobs, riots, bankruptsy there's not many word that can be exaggeration for Detroit's demise.

Detroit probably has the only affordable housing left in the u.s. for a metropolis. Beats living on the streets or in a car in Cali and NYC don't it?

Glad to hear. All of those major cities that peaked in the the 1950's & early 60's will become a thing again. These cities that got big after WWII don't have the same appeal/spirit as the former dominant cities.
