During the video, when the mailaway belloc was shown wearing red, My memory was owning belloc wearing white robe, then you showed the indy map room playset with indy in white arab robe disguise, so I was like thats the robe I used to put on belloc then when you got to series 2, that was the belloc I owned, and I just put the white robe on him. haha, I owned almost this entire line when I was a kid, the Streets of Cairo playset was fun to have figures fight near the wagon and dump someone into it. Good video, Junkman!
This was a great line. I found a whole case of all the figures at a Montgomery Ward store in the mid 80’s. Good times.
I'm loving the new opening graphics. Reminds me of when cartoons and shows would change up intros from season to season. It would let you know if it was a new or older episode.
Didnt have these as a kid, but loved the movies. Never knew Monkey Man played different parts
The only toy from this line I ever had was Toht. At one point my brother’s and my entire action figure collection consisted of Squidhead, a Gamorrean Guard, an AT-AT Commander with a broken foot, and Toht. Try coming up with a fun play scenario with those figures when you’re 11 years old.
I like in the commercial Toht just refers to him as " cairo swordsman" like he doesn't have a normal name like, Robert,Boyd, or Ernest P Worrell
I have all these loose and carded!
I loved all the movies even the Crystal Skull. But I never laid a hand on any of the toys Exept Atari 2600 raiders of the lost ark game cartridge. It actually brought you through the story and adventure. And had an ending. That wasn't common on ATARI. And it wasn't easy.
The ONLY figs of this line that I ever saw in stores were the German Mechanic, Indy in Disguise, and Toht. They seemed to never move and stayed on pegs for years.
The 2008 Hasbro line was great too. They covered all 4 Indy movies.
You losing weight Junkman? Whatever you are doing keep it up my friend! Always a great time when I get to spend a few minutes reliving my childhood with you!
No. I got a haircut
@@ThatJunkman so , lost just a few grams then ? 🤭👍
I remember this toyline- even though I didn't have any of them. The playsets were real cool looking, but I seem to remember some model/diorama things made by Revell (I think) of the truck chase and the airport scene and maybe the Well of the Souls.
BTW- love the Convoy reference you threw in there. My dad's a huge C.W. McCall fan (so am I.)
Brought back memories...
I never had any of these figures nor the playsets. I wish mom and dad or my grandparents had bought them for me. 😢 I was so deprived as a child. What with all my STAR WARS toys but no Indy stuff.
I made up for it when they released the line of Indy figures, vehicles and playsets when "IJatKotCS" came out. I opened and enjoyed all of them.
“Kenner put their heart and soul into this line”.
I realize that Indiana Jones is clean-shaven on the Kenner toys
As I child I had the streets of Cairo playset, the map room, the well of the souls, I had Indy, toht, Cairo swordsman,Belloq, and salah, I also had the horse. I was missing Marion, the truck, German mechanic, German soldier Indy and the mail away belloq. I did have most of this line and really enjoyed as a child, I lied the exclusive figures with playsets idea.
What a great way to start the day! Loved the texting bit. Always keeping it fresh and funny. Thanks JunkMan!
My girlfriend had never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, so we watched raiders last week, and she hated the monkey and Monkey Man so much after the basket scene that I literally had to pause the movie and explain to her that the monkey was going to get his comeuppance so that shed calm down enough to finish watching.
When you replyed with "K" to the long paragraph I laughed so hard lmao
Glad someone got :)
great video junk man and glad that you did Indiana Jones stuff
I had some of the Indiana Jones stuff too . I remember getting the large figure at a Toy store and my brother got a large Michael Jackson figure.
13:40 Pat Roach played the Airfield mechanic, a Thugee warrior and a Gestapo agent [who was cut from the final edit of Last Crusade]
Michael Sheard played the U boat command AND Hitler
A Marion not dressed at all would have excited me. Would have loved to give her my Ravenwood. 😁
Pretty cool line. I remember seeing it as a kid. Good stuff!
The man who played the mechanic also played the big bad guy in Marion's bar at the beginning of the film.
Jedi Knight Jairin Aiki yep and in temple of doom as well
@@dustinbettis3182 That's right, I forgot. The big Thugee that got all ground up.
Played General Kael for George Lucas and Ron Howard in WILLOW too! English wrestler, Pat Roach! :)
Love this Kenner line, great figures and the Well of Souls is certainly a set worth exploring. Also clearly the Hoth system has superior WiFi connection.
My brother got into this line while I was concentrating on my Kenner Star Wars collecting. He had all the playsets sans the horse - if you call that one. Almost all the figures... get this, did not have Indy (leather) or Marion. More on the latter...
Doing some research on the line, apparently Indy figure was kinda rare. I think I heard there was 1 Indy to 2 boxes and Marion was 1 in 5. i do recall seeing Marion figure at our local Woolco store basically when the line was already dead.
And why no German soldiers? My brother resorted to using a couple of Indy in german disguise as the german infantry.
A new junk beginning!.What have I done to deserve such a treat!.Even if it did end with the Junkman dipped in carbonite..
I got that 12 inch Indy for Xmas 82. My four year old cousin had just seen Empire Strikes Back and swore up and down that my Indy was Han Solo. Guess he was kinda right.
Man did that hat look goofy on the 12" doll. Hey J.M. Happy new year for 2020. I collected the modern wave that came out around the Kingdom of the crystal skull in 2008. These were really nice figures. All movies were covered from the line. They even had the River Phoenix young Indy figure!!.
I never put the two and two together with Toht. I thought it was just him showing the burn from the staff head/medallion. 🤔
For some inexplicable reason, I suddenly have the urge to go see that _Cats_ movie, but it doesn't hit theaters here in Sweden until the 17th of Jan...
I collected the vintage Kenner and LJN Indiana Jones toys. I had to sell them due to hard times. Unfortunately, I never got them back. I bought most of the 2008 Hasbro figures and parted with them also. I have only one of those left. I hope that they get a new Indiana Jones movie soon. Hopefully, they'll get a good action figure assortment out again. I'm hoping they'll get out not only new characters in the future film, but characters from the last 4 movies also. As a fan, I'd like to see action figures that Kenner, LJN, and Hasbro missed like Colonel Deitrich, Walter Donovan, and another version of Belloq and Marion. There are more that I can't think of to list right now. Wouldn't it be cool to see a Club Obi-Wan Indy figure? Even better, why don't they do a vintage style version of these figures?
Be fair one of the best and interesting UA-cam channels!
Love it
That postage stamp of a map for Balloq was so disappointing, and a clever idea at the same time.
I feel a big mistake with the truck playset was the lack of the break off Mercedes badge
I've definitely got my eye out for the 12 inch Indy
😯😯😯 ... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 !
5:21
GOLD!!
I remember your other Indiana Jones vids. For the 1st time in 2020.....Burger King Star Wars glasses........
Hahahahahahaha that hat is hilarious!!! The hat looks like the sorting hat from Harry Potter!!!
I got a whole bunch of the Indy figures on Easter of 1982..I actually got close to the whole set with the playsets.I loved these. These were one of the last figures I played it as I aged out and put full time into the Ladies.(Your welcome Ladies!)..My way of thinking was that Indy was kinda real.Where SW was pure fantasy. So playing with Indy toys was more grown up
I still have a Indiana Jones figure somewhere but it’s definitely not mint. We definitely had a lot of fun with it.
I still have Indiana minus accessories, and Indiana in the German outfit but you're right the thumbs did break off within the first couple of weeks, not as sturdy as Star Wars figures.. I always used to Indiana in the German outfit as an imperial officer, too bad I never bought more.
Yeah, that hat on 12 inch Indy belongs to Jed Clampet
DAMN you junkman!!! (fist shaking in the air) now I'm on ebay buying Indiana Jones toys
😂😂😂
Omg I just had to click this one on. I remember watching the advertisement of the toys on t.v, back in the 80s. At first I really wanted Han Solo ( sold out) ,but got the 12inch Indiana Jones action figure instead. From a company that sells and trade collectables a long time ago. Lost that awful hat years ago. Lol😆
Damn it's a shame Indiana Jones doesn't get the same attention when it comes to toys that series like star wars and Jurassic Park did. Imagine an Indy figure alongside his space counterpart han Solo or ridding on a Kenner JP dinosaur 😆
I had a few of the toys 💯
Got the complete Kenner Indy action figure line. Traditional Indy is one of the best action figures ever!
I never knew they hade this cletshon
I had the map room. It kinda sucked though because Indy had a unremovable turban.
How do you “quick draw” a f@&$ing bazooka?! Kenner really fell in love with that feature. I guess it’s better than Nazi salute action.
a late video but still amazing 😂
Thanks for sharing a line that I never knew existed
i also love the new intro
Am I the only one that agrees with Larry and wants to see a Biker Mice video? Maybe a Toxic Avenger video?
Great video Junkman. Keep up the good work. Its good to see you back to being more upbeat. You seemed a little depressed in the past few videos. Hope things are going well for ya.
Done Toxic already :)
@@ThatJunkman gotta look for it. If I had to think back to a toy line that I liked, I'd probably say Crystar. Not sure if it's right or not, but I think they had figures made like GI JOES. About the same set up anyway.
One figure that stood out in my mind was a GI JOE sized ThunderCat looking dude. Ah, 1986... What a time to be a kid.
I had Indy and that and German tank guy
What a shame that the toy line stopped
I never had any of these. I don't even remember seeing many of them in the stores.
Hey Junkman, do you do the animation for your channel? It’s awesome!
No a friend did it
You should've changed the headgear for this video
That sounded a little like James Earl Jones doing the commercial for the 12" Indy..
The quick draw action on Indy was clearly for shooting the swordsman.
Sweet new intro!!!!
That series 2 Belloc looks like The Professor (Russell Johnson).
Tot looks like a ruger
Hey Junkman where did you get the death star you have in your mug? I would like to get one myself. Thanks man.
Disney store about 20 years ago
There's also a huge difference between the 4 back and 9 backs.
I'd love to get these. but I think they're pretty pricey last time I looked. Loved the hidden star wars in the play set
I owned the whole set of individual figures, minus the special horse, that Belloq and playsets. What a shame that the makers of Star Wars figures couldn’t get further into Indiana Jones.
The text in the video is a little much
Convoy I've that movie
Ace!
1st🤘
Yeeeaaaaa!!!!!
Finally Indiana Jones 👍
The German mechanic taunts Indiana jones
text popups are annoying.
i have wanted to collect the raiders kenner line, then look at the prices and don't bother
OH FOR F#$% SAKE ITS NOT FUNNY. just do the talking of the toys and stop the unfunny scripted phone call.. it was cute once then it got ridiculous
Thanks. That’s was goal ;)
@@ThatJunkman all in all tho truth be told... still my fav tuber love ya and your vids..... Keep on truckin!
