After the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM Vs GTA video, here are their natural successors. A proper Naturally Aspirated 9.500Rpm Alfa 4C V8 against a 2.0 Turbo 550+Hp powered one. Which is your favourite? And do you prefer the new 4C Monsters or the older 155 ??
I gotta say they surely live up to the legend of the 155. Huge props to Alessandro Gabrielli for winning , expecially with an heavier car but the Furore looks and sounds too damn sexy.
HillClimb Monsters I seriously doubt that an Alfa 4C can be V8.... Because 4C is for 4 cilindri or "4 cylinders"... Plus a V8 will never sound like that IMHO.

Very impressive, powerful, fast, amazing sounding and gorgeous cars-what's not to love about these two?Glad to see they're on this level after a lot of development in 2 years, which is crazy and i like that a lot.Soundwise, both sound incredible-4C Picchio has one of the nicest sounds coming from turbocharged engine while 4C Furore produces one of the most orgasmic sounds i ever heard from N/A engine. There's no contest for me since both put big smile on my face and i really enjoyed watching them tackle tricky Verzegnis.Thank you for sharing these two beautiful beasts.
Aside that the 2.0 turbo might be the quicker car, the driver of the V8 one seems to drive more clean and precise. So the driver always wins over the machine
Quasimodem availability is irrelevant they made a V8 car and are making a new 8C supercar for production. The 4c was designed to be as light and as nimble as possible that’s like some one say that lotus exige should have come with a v12 from factory...
@@Not_Hans Hmm. Not sure you know what you're talking about. You can still produce a naturally-aspirated V6 or V8 which weighs the same as the 4C's turbo I4 engine. It will just be more expensive to produce. It wouldn't change the concept of the driving experience other than having less low-end torque. It would be a major improvement to me.
My favourite monsters. Building one myself. 500hp from the stock 1.8l with forged aluminum top and bottom ends, twin scroll bw turbo and lots of other custom kit. Target weight 800kg. Videos coming soon.

Can't go wrong with either car. Nice to see some 4Cs getting the love and development. I have one and they are a terrific car although of course mine s no where near what these cars are....they are 4Cs in name only as they are a long way from the stock components of the 4C. As far as sound NA sounds great due to high rpm, but smaller lighter 4 turbo is faster...and set fastest time here I believe. These are still in development so expect both to get even wilder in he next few months. Both drivers are top's so expect amazing results.
HillClimb Racing is probably the type of motorsport where engine specification regulation has more freedom. No limits are imposed apart from Displacement and weight given the Class where each participant wants to fit in. Add to that the fact that Hillclimbs are short, sprint-style events where reliability isn´t an issue. So what you end up seeing is engineers and tuners go all out and exploring engines limitations and letting it go as high as possible in the RPM range is part of exactly that ;)
The 4 cyl had a much wider torque/rpm band due to the turbo...same as the stock 4C (I have one) than a NA engine. With a turbo you don't need that high rpm red line and you don't have a narrow power band like the NA engine does. In any case these engines aren't ALFA engine anyway....they are bespoke racing engines used in other series like F3. While great for a race car....both would be worthless as an everyday car engine....and both are very expensive. Both of these cars while looking like my 4C are far from it....basically these hill cimb monsters are "funny cars".
@@Sheepanatorz not necessarily, depends what engine blocks are made of in the two. If a 4 cyl has cast iron block, and V8 is all aluminium, the weight can be very similar especially when V8 is pretty small, like 4 liter or sth
@@zacharybaker5910 Engine is actually what is the main brake of every car, especially in motorsport. Anti-lag gives extra fuel to the engine while braking, big part of this fuel is not burned in the cylinders only in the exhaust, powering up the turbine, but some air, and some fuel is still burned in cylinders, while normally no fuel is there while braking. The result is that the engine that would normally be slowing the car thanks to cylinder's compression, produces some propulsion which normally it wouldn't as a result the engine braking effect is weaker. Rally drivers even turn the anti-lag off when they're driving on snow and ice at low speed corners, because at low rpms the anti-lag could even propel the car when they don't want it, and push them out the corner.
Piotr Malewski I did some research on it and you’re correct. I knew about engine braking, but wasn’t aware of its use in Motorsport along with Anti-Lags effect on it.

The turbo car seems to be driven a little faster, but I think both drivers are in over their heads what does cars, nothing to be ashamed of we all have our limits, It’s just my observation
