@Uniquesquared You CAN hook-up turntables with timecode. That's one of the many configurations that I personally use it in. I hook-up my Technics 12's with Serato and actually use the MIDI function of the MC6000 to scroll through my tracks and load them on to the decks.
@djmrnelson Thanks for the comments! If you are just starting out you should consider the Mixtrack Pro, however the DN-MC6000 and S4 are both very intuitive and have more capabilities. If you are going to do mobile DJ type events I recommend the DN because of the stand alone mixer functionality. If you are into controllerism and use a lot of effects and hot cues and loops definitely consider the S4. I hope this helps! Cheers!
@coronanestor Absolutely. It's the software that remembers/recalls all of your settings. I have various dj software on my laptop and I switch in and out of different controllers weekly. You'll have no problems switching software with your MC6000. Thanks for the question!
@iHeartDaRadio1 The Denon CD players and controllers like the DNS-3700 and the DN-HC1000S can be mapped for funcitons within most DJ software, but this is the only mixer.
@wereboarder2009 Yes, by plugging the usb drive into your laptop. Virtual DJ will read songs from your drive, but you can't plug a usb drive directly into the DN-MC6000. I hope this helps.
@hau5lover Thanks for the comments! It really depends on your budget. If you can get the S4 right now I recommend it. It's much more advanced and the software is constantly evolving. If you get the S4 most Traktor updates will be free. I hope this helps. Cheers!
@neumonix On the lower left CUE/MASTER knob, turn all the way left on CUE. Select the 2 cue sources you want to split (i.e. A and B). Press the SPLIT CUE button and you should have A on left and B on right in your headphones. I hope this helps!
I have this beast at home. after updating and adjusting. this thing is pretty responsive. the only thing: if this would have been made a little bit bigger this would be be- honestly- the best controller out. from the booth output, to the fact that its a stand alone mixer and all of its functions and ability to run on both VDJ and Traktor is just nuts. If you are not really into hardcore scratching but more into mixing with some simple scratching and videos, this is for you.
I've been using this thing for a while now with Traktor Pro 2. I definitely recommend it (and upgrading to Traktor). I find it comparable, if not better than the S4, and can be used as a stand alone mixer. Def good for DJs on the go. Look into it!
@NOMINAMIA Yes, you can use it without software or a laptop. Let me know if you need help getting it set up and we'll be glad to get you sorted. Thanks again!
Yes you can hook up CDJ's and it will work with out a computer because the MC6000 can run as a stand alone mixer. For great deals on CDJ's and the Denon MC6000, check out the UniqueSquared website.
@Cguitar126 That's okay, you can be the pioneer of electro/dubstep in your area. Just keep adding to your music collection and take the plunge! You'll love it!
one thing i like about your videos, you tell us the truth without regard if you make some of the equipment you sell at your company. with that in mind, mr madflip, Should I buy this one or the traktor 4? or save my money and just buy the mixtrack pro?.
@katoman20 If you are using the DN-MC6000 in a larger venue you can send your booth output to some monitors in the booth so that you can better hear your mix. It's nice to be able to control this volume separate from the master going to the rest of the club. I hope this helps.
@MasterDJRenn Yes you can. At that point you would just be using it as a regular mixer. I have my Technics 1200's with Serato hooked up to the MC6000. When setup like this, i actually use the MC6000 to scroll through my tracks and load them onto the turntables.
@teck494 This version of Virtual DJ is specifically for a 4 deck controller. You must have one in order to utilize the software upgrade. Check the VDJ website for more info. I hope this helps!
@djmrnelson Thanks for the kind words! A lot of us serve/served in the US Navy, too. Our role models are pretty much our parents, Manny Pacquiao, and Q-bert. Cheers!
Ok, If i buy Traktor and the audio 6, will i be able to use the MC6000 AND the Turntables? Ive been on the phone with both Denon and Trakor and i'm getting conflicting info....Thanks
hey dude great video! what are the names you got loaded up on your desk? I really like them. especially the outkast house/techno remix and the tune you fade out to thanks!!!
@lifehouseDs Either, depending on if you like Virtual DJ or Traktor. I still favor the DDJ-T1 but the DN-MC6000 is better if it's more of a mobile type gig. I hope this helps!
@MasterDJRenn I don't think you can remove a track from one of the decks once you have it loaded. You can put a new song in its place, but I think there will always be a song there once you put one in. What were you trying to do?
@MasterDJRenn Yes, you can use the MC6000 with Traktor (not scratch) I'm assuming. If it is Traktor Scratch then you can use the MC6000 as a stand alone mixer with the Audio 6. Let me know and I can help you get it up and running.
@Uniquesquared I hope you weren't offended. I meant that in a good way. you guys dominate both of those markets! lol @ mentioning Manny "i'm scared of needles" Pacquiao.
My soon to be new controller!!!!!! yeaaahhhh baby!!! you guys should check out Unique Squared they really rock when it comes to customer service (talking of experience not just saying... they do help you in all they can) anyways... This controller rocks and as soon as I bundle it with my torq 2.0 woooowwwwwww!!!!!! can't wait
I like this better than the traktor s4. The traktor feels more plastic. This unit is steel. It has booth out which is great too. And it has two mic out and thats a plus for me. Its also more compact.
i recently purchased this and i like it alot. i use traktor and it works great i tried using the virtual dj for videos and i like it but for some reason it froze a couple of times for a split second. do you have any suggestions on how to fix that.
Madflip, i have this denon , and im a house dj & also i do parties ( weddings, bdays, etc) for this kind of parties im using vdj pro7 because i mix videos, but for my dj venues ( only music ) i want to use traktor, mi question is if i can install both programs in my laptop, and if the controller keeps the configuration for each separately ( of course using one software at the time ), thanks!!
Dude, this is a great video, it realy helped to clean my mind, and i guess i'm finally making a decision. But hey, i want to start my dj carrer soon, but i still don't know what to buy, because cdj are too old, and i have to make my mind and chose one of these ; Xponet, Traktor Kontrol s4 and DN MC6000, do you think one of these can help me get started on my carrer? which one do you recomend? eer, ooh, btw i'm Brazilian hehe, sorry the bad english.
@MasterDJRenn YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES... You CAN hook-up turntables with timecode. That's one of the many configurations that I personally use it in. I hook-up my Technics 12's with Serato and actually use the MIDI function of the MC6000 to scroll through my tracks and load them on to the decks.
@TheDJParadiso Just going through tracks and deleting the ones i didnt want, but you cant delete a track while its loaded in a deck hence the reason for the original question...i just load another track like you recommended then delete the track i was listening to.
@tonyspinningg Thats exactly how i use it but with the Traktor software and an audio six...i can scroll, load and all the efx work as well....when i reconfigure th mc 6000 and a controler alone ( without the 1200's) it works that way too....but i like my 12's.....
Can it be used with Serato and if so, where can i get the mappings. I just bought this unit and love it. Im a big on serato and have been using it for years now but wanted to see if i can use it. I've seen it on videos but i dont see anything official regarding it.
can you also do a song playlist on this? i am interested on purchising this product for a sound group for events. Is this product good enough for my business? i would appreciate your answer. thank you
Is there a good video that i can look at so i can use the sync feature? Im having trouble mixing accapellas. i can do it manually on CDjs or Vinyl but i would like to take advantage of the technology while i work with 4 decks. I went out got and got this unit.for the fact that can do my sets for my live internet shows as well as do quick sets to upload to sites. I'm able to get mix with no problems but at times, i noticed a track seems to speed up or slow down. Please help
how do you set this up with 4 decks on vdj? when i do it 2 channels on the denon control one channel on vdj and the other 2 channels on the denon control one other channel on vdj..... ive switched all channels to midi and 4 decks are setup on vdj. someone please help!
My DN-MC6000 is not starting, only lights in standby mode. I've tried to activate the automatic standby mode "on" and then hit restart, then switched it into "off" and turned it on and off and nothing happened. Could someone help me, please! Thanks!
@stamosxxxx it sounds better! The MC does its 24-bit depth change in the mixer stage. The S4 does its 24-bit depth in the sound card. = either way, you still reach 24-bit
@ZebbandFlow NO, Your wrong. When computer-mixing with 2 decks, you use the channel 2 and 3 switched to usb, when mixing with four decks you use channel 1 and 4 switched to midi, channel 2 and 3 switched to usb! Do your research before posting!
@djmrnelson Hay I didn't know that about my people, just to add to your list about Filipinos. There are more Filipino in the world's most powerful United States Navy than any other branches. And yes there are musicians, part time DJs on the side like me in the Navy, Nuclear Engineering, Pharmacist, Doctors of all kind, Pilots, Supply Officer, Admin Officer...etc. You name it we got it. "Mafia" is our code name, not a bad one. Just ask anybody who's been in the Navy for awhile.
@muaythaibest1 My preference would be Traktor, but VD7 is very good as well especially if you are going to mix video, too. Traktor Pro is unstoppable right about now in my opinion.

nice video mr madflip , i ordered mine yesterday, cant wait to get in the mix :)
@TheParkourKing123 I would assume so. We do have it in stock as well.

Nice video, i like it.this is the best video so far for the MC6000. i am convince, i am ordering right now.
@tsspro2222 Thanks so much for your comments! We have many in stock. Let me know if you have any questions after you get yours. Cheers!

Try using the headphone cue button above the channel faders.
@teck494 This version of Virtual DJ is specifically for a 4 deck controller. You must have one in order to utilize the software upgrade. Check the VDJ website for more info. I hope this helps!
@DJDonMartino That briefly was My World (Charles I Remix) by Kill The Noize.
@IamAntoine It's DJ Ellipsis mix of Ghosts Over Baghdad.
@mbwifi Thanks for the comment! Maybe you can show me how to mix with your own tutorial vids.
@jordsmords There isn't really any way to take the music out of the track to create an acapella with the MC6000.
hey dude great video! what are the names you got loaded up on your desk? I really like them. especially the outkast house/techno remix and the tune you fade out to thanks!!!

@Cguitar126 Check out the S2 and MC3000. We have a comparison video coming out soon, too. I hope this helps!
@Uniquesquared I hope you weren't offended. I meant that in a good way. you guys dominate both of those markets! lol @ mentioning Manny "i'm scared of needles" Pacquiao.
is there a way to rearrange the way VDJ lines up Decks 1-4 so it makes better sense to certain DJs who are used to a certain layout?
@keondub I would if you don't need an iPod dock. You can also mix on 4 decks on this if you need to.
do u think vdj 7bis rock solid for mc6000, or better use traktor?
My soon to be new controller!!!!!! yeaaahhhh baby!!! you guys should check out Unique Squared they really rock when it comes to customer service (talking of experience not just saying... they do help you in all they can) anyways... Does anyone know how to "unload" a track? Im using the MC 6000 and Traktor scratch pro 2...Thanks

Do this unit have the automatic sync option also. I'm looking to buy the one of these controllers but i need to know if this unit has this feature.
@JeffSpicoli80 Cheers, thanks for the support! Feel free to message us if you ever have any questions. I like your channel, too. It makes me hungry!
@Uniquesquared thanks mate :D
Thank you for the video I like this unit now let me ask you if I buy this unit do I need to buy Serato or virtual dj. How much these software cost?
hey, i wonder, what songs are those at the end? the Calvin Harris Remix and the Mike posner one, what are the exact tracks?
@MasterDJRenn
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES...
You CAN hook-up turntables with timecode. That's one of the many configurations that I personally use it in. I hook-up my Technics 12's with Serato and actually use the MIDI function of the MC6000 to scroll through my tracks and load them on to the decks.
@jonpaulevans Unfortunately, not. Although, I think DJ software in general is moving toward being able to do this.
ok man do you know if when you add an external turntable or cdj could you use it to control one of the virtual decks
@TheDJParadiso Just going through tracks and deleting the ones i didnt want, but you cant delete a track while its loaded in a deck hence the reason for the original question...i just load another track like you recommended then delete the track i was listening to.

@TaffyGood This is MashMaticians - Please Don't Go Alone (Mike Posner vs. Calvin Harris)
@TnTByoy True, you've got to have good placement of your laptop. You get used to it though.
can you do a video with the mc 6000 with traktor pro 2 or a comparrison with the mc 3000
@TonyJvideos Nice one, although I do like waffles, too. It definitely covers all the bases when it comes to being a great controller.
I was working with the Xponent and got the Torq 2.0 from M-audio and avid, will this unit work with Torq 2.0 ? ? ?
question!!!!! can you run both decks with songs off of a single usb drive?
can you also do a song playlist on this? i am interested on purchising this product for a sound group for events. Is this product good enough for my business? i would appreciate your answer. thank you
Can you hook up TT with time code?
@MasterDJRenn Not on the DN-MC6000. Only on the S4 and that is with Traktor.
Is there a good video that i can look at so i can use the sync feature? Im having trouble mixing accapellas. i can do it manually on CDjs or Vinyl but i would like to take advantage of the technology while i work with 4 decks. OK So I wanna upgrade to a 4 channel controller. Wich one would you prefer
@TheDJParadiso I guess that would work but i mean not have anything loaded in any of the players.
Does it come with filters.if so, how to find them.
which one would you recommend for better mixing Pioneer DDJ-T1or Denon DN-MC6000?
@DJSERVANT777 No you can't. This does not act as a sound card for timecode.
so if i get traktor... it will be already mapped to it?
can sum 1 upload video of how to split cue using headphones..??? i got prob wit that..
Serato Itch or Serato Scratch Live?
how are the jogs on this controller?
Awesome t-shirt by the way...
what are the names of the cases in the video?
can you mix more than 1 fx at the same time?
The Denon DN-MC6000 has 16bit/48khz sound card and the Xone Dx & Traktor have 24bit/96khz sound cards, my question is will they sound better?
So it works as a standalone mixer but not a player right?
My DN-MC6000 is not starting, only lights in standby mode. I've tried to activate the automatic standby mode "on" and then hit restart, then switched it into "off" and turned it on and off and nothing happened. Could someone help me, please! Thanks!
@djmrnelson Not at all offended, bro! Thanks again! Cheers!
how do the jogs feel on this one?
i see you have nice dubstep songs, like gold dust from flux and like a g6 from far east movement... nice :)
The diference between these and the MC3000 is TOO big or you thing MC3000 is fine too?
They're accurate for adjusting and nudging. For scratching they're not bad, either.
can this be used with serato scratch live?
@stamosxxxx it sounds better!
The MC does its 24-bit depth change in the mixer stage.
The S4 does its 24-bit depth in the sound card.
= either way, you still reach 24-bit
please help
can we connect a pendrive of songs to it to play it without a laptop
Sonu Prajapati no mate. You will need a laptop
@MasterDJRenn Load another track in its place?
@djvictorz Gracias por el comentario, por favor visite nuestro sitio web. Enviamos a México, también.
@ZebbandFlow NO, Your wrong.
When computer-mixing with 2 decks, you use the channel 2 and 3 switched to usb, when mixing with four decks you use channel 1 and 4 switched to midi, channel 2 and 3 switched to usb!

what are the songs?
@djtavi77 Yes, you can.
You apparently have not priced turntables and vinyl lately.
Sorry for getting back to you so late..
Scratch Live
awesome led
Can anyone help me?
Pioneer S1, Traktor S4 or this one? i believe the traktor S4 is the best? can any god DJ help me which one is better?
thanks
@muaythaibest1 My preference would be Traktor, but VD7 is very good as well especially if you are going to mix video, too. Traktor Pro is unstoppable right about now in my opinion.
Tracklist please !
