This was funny back in the day when unhinged, anti-English sentiment was fringe. Now it's mainstream, and if anything, funnier! What's telling, of course, is that this was made in 1994, but it could nevar, evar, evar... be made today.

Probably better to be anti English in a comedy then being anti-scottish in parliament for 400 years 1 seems a lot more disturbing than the other only reason this wouldn't be on TV today is because it would be redundant the English hate themselves

Did you ever notice Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling, Malcolm Rifkind, Charles Kennedy, Menzies Campbell and David Steel all sort of being born in Scotland and getting elected to Parliament and even getting into government? Even David Cameron’s father was born in Scotland . How exactly does that make parliament anti Scottish?
