I love your tenaciousness!!! I mean that in the most positive definition of the word! We have gotten so complacent as a society thinking we need to live inside the boxed format of what "living" a "successful" life is supposed to look like that when someone "DARES" to live outside of that box, it sends some people into fits of judgment. I say, bully for you and carry on! It is obvious that you are an intelligent, thoughtful woman, who no doubt will always provide the best for your son.
Jen there is some milk that does not require refrigeration. Available at Publix, Walmart and Aldi's (wherever one's available) Best of luck to you and your son- I admire you :)
Kudos to you! ... I bought a 1996 four winds class c and love it! , i found a park in Ga, near atlanta for only $250 per month which includes everything except power... free cable, free wifi, free water ect... , i replaced the furniture and even added an electric fireplace and I couldnt be happier.... let this woman be an inspiration for anyone wanting to do this
That is the downside of the RV, which I used to have. I have migrated to the idea of vandwelling, because you can stealth camp anywhere and everywhere. I did a lot of 'stealth camping' in my RV, but you can't really do that if you are staying in one city, like I am now. I rented out my house. The truth is that in a n RV, you really can just park it an sleep anywhere. I slept at bookstores, brake repair shops, Walmarts, hotel parking lots, hospital parking lots, etc.
Jennifer, whereever u are is where your baby should be. U are his home. Naysayers only have opinions, but aren't willing/able to help u. Ur doing fine, outside the box living (pun intended). I'm proud of u, and ur love for your baby is evidenced by the cleanliness and care of your home (car). U continue with ur education, and much success to u and baby. Love and Peace.
I would LOVE a trailer or camper, but I am not sure he'd be too happy in one. We use my car like a giant suitcase, but spend most of our time in public places or where other people are hanging out. He is just grumpy if we are alone, so we are at parks, libraries, and, mostly, visiting in other people's houses. I'll probably settle at my sister's house (exemplary schools!) when he starts kindergarten.
I would recommend a travel trailer/camper and a truck or SUV to pull it if you plan to keep the nomadic life up as the child gets older. Trying not to be judgmental (which of course means I am being just that) but I would get settled somewhere so the child gets in a routine especially by the time they start school.
That is a really good idea. I had one with my RV, but let it go with the sale! (The chassis battery was old and the RV often needed the jump on a cold day.) I am going to do that though. That is a perfect solution for my food storage.
I work from home, so he is almost always with me. When I need some quiet time, I use my gym. I have a gym membership that has a nice daycare. I get two free hours every day with my monthly membership. My family watches him when I go to school.
I had to travel extensively with a baby and for milk on the go, switch to powdered milk. You can easily make a bottle anytime. I would test tap water on my wrist for correct temperature, used 1/3 powered milk to 2/3 water to make it richer. This is alot better than formula full of chemicals in my opinion My baby grew up to be healthy thin, plus extremely intelligent, and very successful in life.
Whoa, I didn't know you had a face. I saw one of your other videos and asked you something about your RV, though I wasn't aware at the time that there was an entire saga behind the lifestyle. I still don't know your story, but best of luck with everything.
I moved to an area where I have a lot of friends and family. I have six siblings that live within 60 miles of me... plus my partner David. (He and I haven't ever lived together, but we have been together for 18 years.)
There are coolers that you can get ( I have one) that plug into your accessory/cigarette lighter plug. It could possibly be easier and better for you then having to worry about Ice all the time.
It's going to work out for you. I know you like Vans. Is it to hard to live in an small RV? Good luck. Keep the videos up. I like to see whats the next adventure you will do. I think you are a very brave woman.
I'm confused. I just watched another video of yours explaining how you make your money and you said you made 6 figures with a job you had now your living out of a car?
hun have fun with your baby before long he'll be in school and the only trips youll get to take will be in the summer time but at some point you will have to take reaspondablty and put your kids future a head of you and his short term happiness
I understand that you don't LIVE in your car, but with a baby that just isn't right! Babies need stability. Just because your baby happens to deal with it well doesn't mean it is what is best for HIM in the long run.
I wish I had not gotten tied down to property and Payments. I was kind of thinking about making some serious changes and gaining some freedom. Still selling it to the wife. Shes a home body.I bought a house next door to us that was bigger but had to remodel it to get her to drag her stuff across the lawn. I have gotten a cheap camp trailer and she loved it. I just wish it didn't cost a lot to tow and pay camp fees.
Ha ha! I am not raising my baby IN my car! One of the reasons I've adopted this lifestyle is because my boy loves his (huge) family and so we spend almost all of our time visiting in other people's homes. (And it's cheaper for me!) I am not really homeless, we are just serious couch-surfers.
I had to sell the expensive RV because I couldn't afford it. The 'free' van didn't pan out for me (the owner decided he needed to keep it), so I am back to the drawing board...
Go to AZ, FL, NM, good used RV can be had for nearly nothing... Retirees buy them with great plans then sadly their health starts to fail or the reality of life on the road does match up to the dream they had.... ether way where you find senior citizen snowbirds you will find deal on RVs.
I just have my Horse, bedroll and laptop. Thinkin' bout ditchin' the laptop. If your ever near the Los Padres National forest in So Cal. drop me a line. If I don't get back to ya I Frisbied the laptop. =0)`
You should be proud of yourself, as I am, for raising a child on your own. But(I know you saw it coming) help others learn from your mistake. Don't make a baby with a dirt bag, dead beat, p.o.s. Maybe women should date a guy and learn about his character and values before banging him.

When your by your self you live in a RV, but when you have your baby you move out of you RV and into a car, Does not make much sense?

What a great single mother ! You go, girl !

You are a fascinating woman. I loved RV living, would love to and plan on getting back to it.
Thank you!!!
I love seeing what you are up to.
Hey Jen ! If you insulate your cooler on the outside and try to use BIG hunks of ice
it will last twice as long for you.
You may want to invest in a tiny house for you and your son, some place more stable for the both of you.

part 2. Most my friends homeschooled. This is a great option as well, as sun/son grows.
Hey, if you can afford the room, add some exterior insulation to the cooler. It will help.

Enjoy your videos! You are a real sweetheart. Wish I could find a lady with your nomadic qualities.
thanks! I will try freezing some bigger bags of ice in other people's freezers overnight.
I had to sell the expensive RV because I couldn't afford it. The 'free' van didn't pan out for me (the owner decided he needed to keep it), so I am back to the drawing board...
Hope you can get a RV soon as it will make raising a baby easier.
I hit the post too soon.
I meant to end with . I wish you and your child well.
Wow, I hope you find a good van and start a comfortable nest. Xo
A Duracell Powerpack 450 might be a good option for that. There is a good review on Beast12101's channel, and he knows his stuff! All the best!

I've been reading your blog. WOW! you have some story. I see you've already had a couple of vans. Why do you keep getting rid of them? Just curious.
I am in school right now. I do work and earn a small income, but my goal is to live on about $1,000 a month and save/invest the rest.
You so need a van you can do so much with them just rip out most of the seats and your options are open
What happened to the Monaco rv?

If you teach, I'm not quite sure why you are living out of your car. I mean, you should have a steady paycheck.
People are so damn judgmental.....whatever makes you happy girl and I'm sure that boy of yours is happy too.
