Hello everyone!!! I just wanted to pop in real quick and thank you guys for the positive feedback! I’m so glad to have had to chance to record this video and read your comments 🥹🥹 have a great day!!
Because of you is about Kelly’s dad leaving, piece by piece is about her dad leaving and her ex husband being the opposite of what her dad was and putting her back together again. Rock Hudson is her saying actually I realised I’m my own hero nobody else.
I loved the ways you pointed out different instrumentation effects on certain songs like skipping effect on "skip this part" and going back in time effect on "chemistry".
THAT PERFORMANCE
Really great reaction, thanks! Chemistry is epic
The songs are not in chronological order - she says they didn’t sound great from a sequence standpoint. Hence the we story is not in order
Still sounded fairly coherent, at lest she grouped them in little chapters 😃
Wow, your insights are awesome. The backward guitar track you pointed out was pretty cool. Lighthouse got me, very emotional. Rock Hudson is one of my favorites too. Have you seen her live performances at the Belasco? They are amazing. Loved your reaction! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you! 😁 and to answer your question, no, I have not seen her life performances yet! It’s on my list of reactions to film if I can get to it 🥹
I love this album so much ! I can listen to the whole album on a loop and it’s interesting when you hear “ Can I skip this part …. “ you know what’s up 😂 my most favourite song at the moment is Chemistry.. in my opinion it’s a change of a mood song that’s why it’s placed in the middle of the album and then My favourite kind of high and Magic are next because the chemistry can sneak up on ya ….😉
I heard that group trying to sing her song ,although they did a decent job,but just proves how excellent Kelly sings
loved the reaction !
I thought this was Kevin Jonas for a second
wait-
YOU JUST MADE MY DAY 🤣
I’ve been telling my friends that I sort of look like him for LITERAL YEARS (they never fully agreed on it), and this just confirmed it 💀
I saw that
I can see that!
@@z4ch4r6are they blind? You look exactly like him and I’ve got lasik so my vision is 6/6
high road- Best song so far of the album AMAZING !
Love your reaction video to the album... thank you!!! ❤ Idk if you finished reading Rock Hudson's full bio when you were referencing the name of the song or not? If you did not... Rock Hudson was a very well-known, heartthrob actor, throughout the 50's to the early 80's. I even had a crush on him in my teens! He started getting sick in the mid 80's and it was finally revealed that he had HIV, after several other false ailments were announced to the press. This was revealed only like 2 or 3 years after the first HIV diagnosis was discovered in the US. So it was not very common and was kind of unnervingly scary at that point. Of course, everyone started speculating then that he was gay. Which eventually was known to be true, but he had led his "famous life" as a straight man to his ADORING fans, and was even married once or twice to women. It was later known after his death, that many of his friends knew that he was homosexual, but they had kept his secret for him. He ended up passing away in 1985 at the age of 59, from AIDS-related complications. He was the first "famous person" to die from AIDS and he really gave a face to the disease. His death led to the public awareness and great support in funding efforts for the disease since then!
Sooo... to finish this book that I wrote! I should've just told you to read the rest of Rock Hudson's bio yourself! 😜😂 I'm assuming that Kelly's title reference to Rock Hudson's name, was due to the mis-leading person that he was to the public??? Perhaps Kelly's ex-husband, Brandon, was not the same public persona that he was in his private life? Not saying that he was homosexual or not, idk, none of my business; but it sounds like he put on a good public front for some character flaw in their relationship???
What you didn’t see in the editing is I researched and read his life story, therefore I’m now fully aware of what the reference is! And yes, I agree with you on the comparison 😁😁
Love your reaction ❤
Love this!
New fan here. Awesome reaction
Loved your take on the album and pointed out certain effects. Also, are you single?😂
Thank you! Also… yes 😅😆
@@z4ch4r6 good to know. was just asking for a friend 😜
Can not WAIT to see your reactions to the performances of some of these songs at the Belasco Theatre! You are NOT ready for those notes!!
Yes!!!
i didnt catch that idea from skip this part being like the idea of everything that follows i wish i could have skipped
and that chemistry was literally the theme of giving it a 2nd chance -- it ties in really nicely with lighthouse being toward the end of the album since kelly said that was when she made the decision to go through with a divorce and the relationship being truly over
Great reaction. I love your take on the album and your Kelly Clarkson knowledge & enthusiasm! I love the album.
I feel like I was blacking out not realizing the audio for “Red Flag Collector” wasn’t in the vid 😅
Very nice reaction! I’ve literally had this album on replay since it’s release last Friday 🥰
😂😂 wait, wdym?
@@z4ch4r6 The audio for RFC wasn’t in the vid (other than the intro guitar/whistle part) 😐…
Still reviewed it though, so not mad lol
I thought the same thing. I went back and listened again to make sure.😂
So did i...I thought I spaced out and hit fast forward by accident, but it unfortunately didn't include any reaction to the song itself.
I absolutely loved this album! I haven’t followed all of Kelly’s albums in the past but have gotten more into music lately so was stoked when I saw she had a new one coming out. It’s soooo good! There wasn’t a bad song on it. My favorites were: Skip This Part, Mine, Rock Hudson, My Favorite Kind of High, Down to You, & Lighthouse. Loved the reaction!
You need to watch LasVegas residency where she revised the lyrics for piece by piece...it's amazing!!!!
One of my favorite reactions to this album by far. The commentary to every track actually added to the video with some insightful thoughts. I like how you dived in, going through the whole journey of this divorce record. I agree its a very grown take on all the feelings you have going through that process. Plus the vocals and production were excecuted so so well. I absolutely LOVE this album. I have it on repeat. Glad you enjoyed the ride as well :)
THANK YOU 🥹
I always viewed the album to be the present until Chemistry where it goes back in time and then Favorite Kind of High is the happiest part of their relationship working back to the present throughout the second half of the album.
That’s an interesting way to look at it too!
Really good reaction!!
She's so talented and cool but all her new music is so vanilla and bland. Not bad, just not great.
Maybe your not the market for this album, and that’s okay! What do you tend to listen to instead?
HIGH ROAD is a cover. she didn’t write it obviously
Ohhhh!
