As someone with a full time job who's grinded to 60, got an epic mount, and gotten my pre-raid bis, and cleared mc, all over again after doing it in 2019, I still do not understand why you would buy gold in this game. The game is good because the grind is good. If you buy gold or want to buy gold in this game you should strongly consider what it is you actually want to purchase out of this game. I suppose some people just want to feel good about themselves and get affirmed in a 20 year old game more than they actually want to play, but it couldn't be me.
Like imagine if there was a game where you log in and it's just a score and a chat window. You can pay money to make the score go up and people can see your score. If there was enough hype around this game would this be your ideal game/expense?
I completely agree with you here. Like the reason of playing classic wow is the grind. I really dont see how buying the items is considered fun when you dont have guildies to share the hype with when you got it, or the sense of achievement once your grind pays off.
Completely agree with you! My reason for not buying gold back in 2019 and since then. I could have bought, but if I did I'd be basically buying myself out of the game. I enjoy playing the game, I don't wanna buy gold and stop playing the game lol
In all of my years I have NEVER bought gold or paid another person for a piece of gear. They are pixels on a screen and it means NOTHING if I didn't earn it and the experience is hollow without sharing it with people you care about.
Dads trying to relive their youth? But just don't want to put the time in. When you are married with kids and hate your life it's their only joy to buy progress.
nah for someone who wants to pvp, the grind is too much
I wouldn't mind gold buying if I could actually farm stuff that sells on AH instead of all these mats/items being mass farmed by bots.
they aren't bots, they're south americans who live in economies that have been raped to death
"busco guild latino"
you do realise that gold buying wouldn't be a thing without bots farming, right? 😂😂 it's not 2006 anymore, with gold sellers getting gold from hacked accounts...it's all from bots.
@@90VYD GDKP says hi. People made hundreds of thousands selling GDKP gold and they werent "bots". Then people buy gold to buy gear in GDKP, GDKP has nothing to do with farming ore, herbs etc.
@@typeohero3519alright, loser. Keep ruining games with your dog water ideas
@@typeohero3519my last reply got deleted. Your mindset is killing wow. Keep your money, no one with an ounce of integrity wants it. People that enjoy the game will play it. People that want to buy gold should go play OSRS or retail so they can be surrounded by the same midwit cucked mentality.
Goldbuying is probably 70-80% when every warrior you pass os full bis, with lionheart, and edgemasters, delvisaur sets SGC its obvious really.
i ninja every one i see
@Grenouillewpk lol if you did, you’d be blacklisted on your server and couldn’t even find a group. Nice lie tho bro.
@@TomMurray-pd5jj yeah sure one player can make me ban from the whole server :) keep on dreaming
If you had the balls to ninja BIS gear (you don’t) you’d get blasted on Reddit, the wow forums, chat, and be instantly removed from any guild you belong to. So yes, they could.
@@TomMurray-pd5jj who hurt you toxic child ?
One time I got banned on Nostalrius. I had no idea why so I opened a ticket. It turned out I bought an enchant from some mage a day ago who was also selling gold from that account so they instantly perma banned ALL people who traded something with him. Ofc once they checked the logs I was quickly unbanned and received apology but it was still amazing that they were doing the shoot first ask questions later policy on gold selling/buying. So Blizzard can lie through their teeth as much as they want about their inability to fight botting.
They have a systematic way of banning, just as Nostalrius;
Bans are done from previous purchasing from said seller.
Now Pserver versus blizzard may have different ways.
But both would be automated.
The problem is it being systematic.
The botters understand how it gets detected.
They work around it and only 1/12 (1000) bots and the rest 11k are not banned.
This happens in other games as well, not just Wow.
It's a standard way of companies to say they are dealing with the bots but in reality, it only solves 1/12 of the problem and saying you did a good job.
I guess college got rid of 70% passes and dropped expectations
@@SabentHD The problem is the delay. Bots can recuperate their investment (monthly sub) after only ~5 days counting they have to relevel and grind in the process. Everything after that is pure profit for them. If Blizzard waits for 2 months to do a ban wave bots have made their owners thousands of dollars already and its super easy for them to reinvest and keep doing the same until next ban wave. That's why bans are only effective if they happen regularly so that botters are losing money.
@benderbg Yes, like I said, 1/12 of the programs get detected. So 11k bots are still running around while other 1k gets banned.
There's slight code variation which they name as .1 .2 all the way till .12;
Just one big organization that is doing that. Problem others on lower scale as well
@@benderbg They also predict ban wave, they move gold around before hand as well
Nost also created gold and made websites to sell under the guise of no cash shop.
Botting and gold buying takes the immersion out of the game and I hate that Blizazard is too greedy to ban them
No its the playerbase that doesn't want botting to stop. Blizzard could have stopped botting easily years ago but the players refused to link real personal information to their accounts.
The banning would have been very effective as real name would be verified. People hated it.
And as long as that remain, botting will never stop.
@@mcmarkmarkson7115you don’t have to link your personal info to fight bots. Gold seller apologetics will say anything instead of put the blame on the people allowing it. Blizzard could easily stop bots, they did during the first HC launch and the same for anniversary. They stop caring after about a month and then the gold sellers run wild.
@ yes you do if you want to fight them effectively. That's why Elon Musk did it on X
Also nothing happens the first month because the bots need to level up as well its not because blizzard does anything.
Immersion? It's a fantasy game there is no immersion lmao.
I don't understand buying boosts for leveling. Leveling is quite literally the only fun part of classic wow. Once I hit level 60 I'm done.
You're in the minority, the vast majority of people want to get 60 asap because that's when the "game" starts.
I always rush to 60, then the fun starts, thats how i see it. But 275 dollars for a boost .... thats just insane
That's what I used to do as well, used to level a toon to max level and then start a new one lol. I had a couple of accounts that were maxed on character slots
i absically quit anaversery and went back to turtle wow
Were they spell-checking you?
Too bad turtle is corrupt.
The GMs as well have thin skin when it comes to handling trade chat. All it takes is 1 opinion they disagree with and BOOM perma banned no appeals.
Why would you pay a sub to play a game where you pay money to not play the game? what's the point of even playing ?
people like to log in once or twice a week to raid and get the dopamine hit of getting a good item in raid
some people work multiple jobs to pay rent as its very expensive to live in the states and just dont have the time but want to raid in their free time
If you can't afford rent and need multiple jobs to do so it's probably best you don't buy gold or a game that requires a sub.@@Moonshot2685
Go to a slot machine it quick and easy way for those hits if that's all you are looking for. Many free to play games offer it@@Moonshot2685
Those reasons sound pretty miserable tbh
The players are the problem.
Players rushing to 60lvl, rushing proffesions, rushing dung...etc
Everyone is in a rush
I'm sure there are casual guilds in wow as well, you are just probably one of the rushers yourself
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 I mean he isnt wrong while there are a few casual guilds there are alot more players who want to mad rush to 60 just look at any questing hub or popular mage grinding spots the servers packed bc players are eager to get to the end game for whatever reason so alot of lazier players are using RMT to skip that process faster by boosting the issue is the players mostly but the gold sellers are scum bags too its on both ends but buying gold/money has been a thing in MMOs since their inception this problem predates wow itself
@ no, its just bias. A few casual guilds? Most guilds are casual. Why do you say only few guilds are casual, what is that based on?
I don't like botting anymore than you do, I just don't understand why you have to make stuff up.
Well, we have half the time to do as much as we did in 2019
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 Bro, im 42lvl. Been in "Casual" Guilds in SOD and they were all rushing.
It doesnt matter which version of classic you play, the playerbase has changed (probably bc IRL stuff is also rushing)
I was trying to find a group for SM cath and there were Mage spellcleave groups and lower lvls searching for boost
Ton of issues with fresh and how people play now.
1. Shortened Vanilla phase without increased drops. (This adds pressure to gear up in other ways)
2. Guilds wanting 20 warriors in each raid. There are only so many mats out there to make lionheart lol. Never seen prices so high than currently. Demand > than supply
3. Everyone must have pre bis to raid! It's been cleared in greens btw.
I could keep going.
I'd like to see them make mc drops 3x current. reducing need for pre gear
Also, unlock the full r14 grind now. All of a sudden, these warriors don't need sgc or LH. The rank gear is perfect for a warrior. This would crush the bots selling services and farming mats 24/7
We are never going to have a vanilla like the original. Where it was maybe 3k pop per side and everyone knew each other.
Or blizzard just needs to embrace the cash shop and put everything on there.
Stopped playing fresh solely because of this. Feels like im missing out all the time because im not buying gold or gaming 24/7
Solheim respect for you still covering wow, even tho blizzard stopped caring a long time ago sadly.
@@SolheimGamingyou cover wow but all your videos are negative it gets old fast
@ I did the math on this in a recent video. Out of 80+ videos specifically for Fresh Classic WoW, 15 can be classified as "Negative", where 6 of those 15 are about Botting, which I don't see as negative videos, but talking about a problem in the game itself.
So in essence, 9/80 = "all your videos are negative". 11% = All, got it.
Can't wait for the next President of USA to get 11% of votes and win.
The reality is there is a lot of negative videos RECENTLY, due to BLIZZARD fucking up. I'm not gonna sit in the middle of a dumpsterfire and say "everything is ok this is perfect" when there's actual issues to be talked about, and once again Blizzard fucking up. Out of the 15 videos mentioned, 5 of them are a DIRECT reaction to a MISTAKE made by Blizzard. If Blizzard did not make those mistakes, that would be minus 5 negative videos.
This is like blaming a news tv show for covering a war and not just showing flowers and blue skies in the middle of said war.
@@lookherelooklisten3078 bro, he´s doing it because he loves the game obviously. he wouldnt cover the game it he didnt love the game, not like blizzard. this isnt negative, its just the truth. you can pretend that this isnt happening but it sadly is. someone gotta talk about it.
The best thing about vanilla WOW is the 1-60 process of gearing. Buying gold/loot just ruins the experience, it goes against the spirit of the game. Its like buying a single player game and paying just go to the end.
I told a night elf warrior in my guild that for him to be competitive with the other warriors, he’d need Edgemasters.
Next day, he had Edgemasters, LHH, and Cloudkeeper.
He hasn’t raided the last 2 weeks
🤣
I really wish they would ban gold buyers.
Same
why? you think everyone is a lifeless nerd who'd spend hours farming gold instead of actually playing the game?
You do not have to be a lifeless nerd to play wow. Guess what - the lvling is actually the main content of wow classic. And all this meta gear+ consume trend is stupid anyways, especially for Phase 1
@@LG0BER phase 2
@@LG0BER the OP is saying he wish all gold buyers get banned, what does it have to do with leveling? you can buy gold for anything it doesn't have to be for endgame stuff.. so I don't really get your point here.
You know what really grinds my gears ? Every group you find has a ton of items hr'ed.
it be like: LFM Ubrs TSS, FS, Dalrends, Ring, BOE's and recipes HR!
I kinda hate this whole HR bullshit, takes away half of the fun out of this game.
God bless if you are a rogue without any good friends in game
Do you enjoy some paladin or priest winning rolls on your trinkets or other gear?
I dont, so I run and roll with LC guilds and HR guilds.
Im in a pretty competitive raiding guild and everyone on my raid team is broke lmao.
Well, to be in a minmax competitive speedrunning guild - you gotta be on welfare or have won in lotto irl.. Because you cannot do a full-time job on the side while being in a guild like that.

Almost 200 comments on this video by the time I post mine, so I doubt this comment is getting any real traction. So, you've asked the question: What are the numbers of players buying gold? You've pointed out that it's brazenly obvious, and as well as being obscenely easy to spot, it's going on with no serious consequences. The buyers aren't facing serious consequence, the sellers aren't being shut down enough to make them cautious or careful, and Blizz is turning a blind eye to it as much as they can. How many ways are there that it's happening? What's the buyer market looking like vs. the Seller market? How many service providers are players taking a cut of what's going on themselves in some manner vs. the RMT community trying to maximize their paydays. Well, it's hard to say. I don't have real numbers in front of me at this point, but if I was a reasonable man, I'd say at the very least, it's likely 25% of the playerbase that's doing some kind of purchase, one way or another. That's a conservative estimate too. It's probably higher than this to be fair. And the demand dictates the supply. Blizz is not going to do anything about it unless it definitively hurts their business. This is what I think at any rate. People can talk about it all day long, but it won't change anything. Blizz doesn't exactly care about their image from what I can see, and they're just using this game to make as absolutely much money as possible. Still though, I like that you're making the effort. It takes people doing this kind of thing to ever make a difference.
It's nice to see I got like from the man making the content. Nice to be acknowledged. I don't know what to tell you for sure here. What I can at least say is this much however: I would probably know far less if it weren't for your videos. I have noticed you trying to apologize for the negativity of some of your videos in the past however, and I would like to give you some helpful advice if I can. Speaking from experience, and understanding a little bit about human nature too, I'd like to explain something to you about what's called, "Negative Bias." I've no doubt you're a smart and clever fella, so it is probably the case that you do understand this. But I'll explain it just the same. Negative Bias is a hard-wired, almost instinctual behavior mechanism that is hard coded into the human psyche. It's something that is innately understood in the marketing network of most major businesses, and this is most especially the case with most forms of news as well. Negative Bias is the tendency of most people to more drawn to something bad or wrong. Example: You're driving by a bad car accident, and you slow down to get a better look at the extent of the aftermath. It's a survival mechanism. The tendency to show greater, more heightened attention to negativity of any sort so as to identify, learn, and avoid it. But it can be manipulated with great ease as well, and a lot of very successful businesses have vast degrees of skill and nuance at doing so. I'm simply sayin this, be positive if you want to, but positivity won't take you as far as negativity ever will. Just keep that in mind, and just the same, don't let yourself feel bothered if you're constantly feeling like your a negative nancy. So what, big deal. Blizz wants some positive news out of you? Let em do better, and get some. But that's my opinion there at least.
My take on bots and goldbuying: Eventually I just gave up on it, it's obvious blizzard won't even try to improve the situation. Instead I joined the dark side and have become a gold farmer/auction house flipper, selling it privately in my communities, making 1000-1500 euros per month. If the creators of this game doesn't care about the integrity of it, why should I? I would however, trade my income for a better botting situation any day, just give me the button and I'll press it!
You are the reason that I can make gold in the games. You have to be creative, patient and a researcher/planner. being creative enough to find information for future gameplay is something I never thought about before but now it’s imperative to be one step two steps I had of where things are going, and a lot of luck hard work is involved too. Love the content love the chat and keep your chin up guys.
Cheers Daisy!
Hey @Solheim, what do you think - should I report my friends who buy gold?
85% of high end players engage in RMT is my guess
id say thats pretty spot on
I literally went to hard-core to avoid the economic disaster happening in the rest of the world of Warcraft
lol ppl buy gold in hc too.... and bot..
@@szabel.That's why I play the real HC experience. SF only.
In my experience, 2/3 of all raiders are buying gold lol everyone I know admitted to it.
I'd wager the grand majority of ppl aren't new to the game or even this version of it. Expecting ppl to "enjoy the ride" again of leveling for the X number of time it is crazy. You wanna get kill botting and RMT? Get rid of the market, AH, and trading. Make all gathering professions secondary profs, probably along with enchanting/alchemy. Most ppl will go down the path of least resistance.
its because there is no incentive to level and procure things AGAIN, this will be at least the 3rd time people have leveled and geared in classic
Why would the act of buying goods be prohibited when the trade is not. By trade i mean uncontrollable botting.
As a mage I never felt the need to buy gold but when I realized the amount of gold I was gonna have to spend to make a warrior competitive I suddenly understood
Even in MC not much gear for a dps warrior. It's $$$ or hard to farm stuff. Rank gear can get ya by though. Although people prob. pay someone to farm that for em too.
I'm too busy minding my business and playing the game to get upset about what other players are doing.
Hey man but they said once we banned GDKP gold buying would be over...oh well it seems worse than before
I think some people are trading Classic Cataclysm wowtokens for Anniversary realm gold, which is technically not against TOS.
I quit playing about 4 years ago, best decision I've ever made.
If they're buying gold to play that means they're having fun in the game.
Most people have life and can't play unlike most unemplyed people who recieve EBT's and stay home the whole day.
Hello, nicee video,, what guild are with main char ? :)
Remember when everyone complained that gold buying only happens because of GDKP's KEKW
Im not a fan necessarily of rmt but i think people need to understand the market of the playerbase now. Retail is changing because it shares roughly the same market. WoW is full of older players. Players that have played for many many years. They have families and other priorities. Now, this isnt all of course, but i believe it's alot more then people think. I believe blizzard knows this from metrics. I see it in game with guilds and the times people are online generally. Im not saying its ok to do it, im just saying look at the market of players. Without it the question is would classic even be viable at this point without it.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Just ignore the people doing this and have fun with your own group of people. It only affects you to the extent it affects the economy, but it is what it is.
I honestly think only 10-15% of players buy gold.
ya ok there, that's like saying 10-15% of players only have jobs
its much higher than this.
I was promised that banning GDKP's would solve this? so now we both have ruined economies *and* we don't have the best loot system, props Blizz
Casual people with jobs simply don't have the time to farm consumes and gold for pre-bis (required to play a lot of raids) when they can't GDKP to pay for next week's consumes. Your choice is to buy gold or not play
There is a third choice, and it's rhymes with "Fertile Plow." 🐢
banning gdkp actually made me play fresh, wouldnt touch it if it was allowed.
its also the worst people doing this too. like theyll throw slurs at you, mine your nodes (while you're mining), or want you to be a sweat in every piece of content. It's so demoralizing
They def get it donated bought gold they dont buy it themselves.
I'm enjoying classic wow, really waiting for TBC. These videos make me want to bot though for the money. Honestly, this will be my last time playing WoW most likely. I missed the first classic experience re-run. If they don't release a "WoW2" then I think wow won't last very long. Blizz just doesn't care anymore.
I think blizzard is going to release wow 2 after the last Titan I think that's a long-term plan for them
I am starting to think the same thing, I am retired and there is no reason I can't open 10 accounts and start botting and selling gold at this point.
Why do the same people that complain about blizzard token and 60 boosts think it's all right to buy gold and boosts 😅 Pretty much the same thing
ive reported every single guild that has tried to sell me boosts, and havent heard a beep back from blizz. also i used to be a GM all through BFA and have a very good idea of whats going on behnd the scene.
My guess would be, "We don't want to ban all these bot accounts, they are paying accounts after all. Who cares if they are selling gold they are still paying us 15/month".
the only way you fix the various issues with Blizzard and how they manage World of warcraft is by either 90+% of all players canceling subscriptions in protest or a class action lawsuit against blizzard
Season of mastery was literally memed and we called it season of Mastercard
Most players probably got more money then time, I love the game but for me it's probably easy to spend a cupple och 100 bucks then it is to farm things for 40 hours
Getting the gear and gold is part of an mmo. uninstall.
Then play a different game loser.
That mindset goes a long way to show your personality traits.
@@Meefy94Hasn’t been part of WoW for a long time bud
Actually lol wtf :) :)
I'd guess 35% of the base is buying gold.
We ain't 15 years anymore old with all the time in the world. Time is money, and I have money so I'm gonna buy gold and not spend hours upon hours grinding for it. If you don't like buying gold then simply do not, and spend your time farming
Definitely shitty as all it does is make everything else expensive requiring me to also buy gold. I haven't and won't as I don't trust sites with my information, but still! Will say I earned my slow mount because of your video on the big fishing poles!
Is it REALLY just 14 days ban for gold buying? WTF blizzard
The NA servers on PVE are stable and prices are low for consumes.
The chaos seems to be only happening with PvP and EU servers.
Solheim keeps missing the real problem. This is a 20 year old game with player base that changed from when the original game was out. Stopping Gold buying/bots will have the opposite affect he thinks it will. It would literally kill the game. 90% of the player base are old heads who are 30+. They no longer have the time to sit and farm gold or items for endless hours on a 20 year old seasonal game. Make all resources and drops bountiful and dramatically increase XP from quests by like 4 or 5x while mob xp stays the same. The player base is not interested in spending days farming and leveling to just to be able to play max level content.
You're not wrong
Play other game lmao
dont care i hope swipers quit the game
And youre one of the ppl believing that swipers dont quit after a couple of weeks cz they have pretty much meta gear for the next months? Thats how the game dies!
This 1000 times ! This is the core of the matter. Either Blizzard makes game shop for classic or don't have any more classic reruns . If gold buying is stopped then the classic servers will die. The simple fact blizztards GDKP ban has been a TOTAL disaster that has resulted in THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what they wanted to prevent is all that needs to be said in this matter.
You forgot gold trading as well across game types. I have 400k+ on retail I could trade to someone in exchange for Classic WoW gold if I wanted to. Always see people advertising it.
soooo... GDKP bad did absolutely nothing, and possibly made gold buying worse. Got it. i mean alot of us knew that was going to happen, except people with no understanding of basic economics
GDKP removal was not just to combat gold buying or botting. Read the post on why they decided to remove GDKP and you'll see that is barely even mentioned. There's a lot of other reasons that GDKP andy's can't understand.
@SolheimGaming nahh what you can't understand is simple human nature and hence economics, its that simple really.
@ I understand that very well, however right now you're deflecting because you're one of the GDKP enjoyers who once again can't understand the other reasons that GDKP's were removed. Go read the bluepost, dummy.
I'll give you one clue that has nothing to do with goldbuying or botting, that is a significant reason in why GDKP's were removed in the first case as a "test" to see how it worked out in SoD: "Guild Agency".
Once again I'm not saying GDKP removal was not PARTLY done by Blizzard in an ATTEMPT to reduce botting or goldbuying, which was a massive failure if so, I just said that was not the ONLY reason, which you just tried to say I was wrong for saying and started deflecting.
Either you are incredibly subjective on this matter and can't look at things objectively, or you actually have negative IQ.
It's that simple really.
@@SolheimGaming PuGs are "anti guild agency", too. its just gdkp without gold. denying this is you yourself being subjective
@ Yes they are, but right now you are also doing what I just described the other person's comment of doing: Deflecting instead of facing the real issue. Are you actually that thick brained that I have to explain it, in detail?
Okay:
So, a semi-hardcore guild is doing Naxx. They have cleared all the bosses and are now farming pre-raid-bis. What tends to happen, or should I say tended to happen aka past tense, when GDKP's were a thing, is that as these raiders got fully bis or damn near fully bis, they would stop showing up to guild raids and instead do GDKP's, because in guild raids they barely got any loot and no gold for their time, but in GDKP's atleast they got some gold back.
If you played in 2019 or had any connections at all, you would've known this happened in ALOT of guilds, and MANY guilds disbanded due to this problem.
Keeping people that did not have Guild Master or Officer rank became a huge problem due to the lack of incentive in guild runs vs the huge payouts of GDKP's. Many people also did Guild Runs until they got full bis or again damn near full bis, then went to GDKP's and started attending guild raids on their alts instead, and once those alts got full bis, the cycle repeated itself.
Without GDKP's, there's not that incentive to abandon your guild for monetory gain, and a small FRACTION of people would abandon their guild raids for pug raids.
With GDKP's, you were incentivized to raid outside your guild and make gold.
Without GDKP's, you are incentivized to find a guild to raid with. Sure, a lot of people are still pugging, but when pugging you have no idea if it will be a good or a bad pug unless you actively vet those people beforehand by checking logs etc. If you want a raid every week that is continously the same state (good, bad, whatever your guild is), you are once again incentivized to find a guild.
Arguing against this just shows how much of a GDKP andy you are. Once again read the fucking bluepost made by Blizzard where they also say this exact same thing and they have numbers to back shit up.
how do i feel about this? idc at all im having a good time with friends questing and farming dungeons no matter what other players/bots do if i stay thiking about all bad stuff i wouldnt even play
The biggest problem I have is that it makes trying to make gold for your level 40 mount and all a joke because stuff that would sell well is not because there are so much for from the bots and stuff that sells at STUPID levels of gold that you have to be almost level 60 to farm and stuff that the bots can't mass produce. Yeah ago I would have half the gold I would need by now for training and mount.
Dude, you're playing WoW. Buying Gold is normal.
Without gold buying the game would be dead
@@Demoniac1933 Nah i don't think so, I don't buy gold. I think that this is for the people who don't enjoy the game, but want to be full gear and just show it :D
@TheBlackProductionz thats not true , i know alot of 9-5 people that can only play on weekends and want to catch up
@ Catch up what? I mean I already have 2 heroes on level 60 with playing a lot, but if you want just 1 there is time. I mean it's not like a race or something. You can always find a good guild and start farming MC or Ony. You cannot buy all of the prebis gear anyway so why buy gold? I mean boosting yea, but still you can farm the gold for the boosts and also the quests give more gold, if you do them instead of boosting so you get a lot. Also you can dungeon and get a lot of gold while leveling. Still not sure why you should by gold ? What does it give really?
people who buy gold are boomers who need to move on with their lives
I think the percentage of ppl buying gold /items seems higher than it really is but still - seeing so many warriors with full bought Epic sets... its just demotivating
This problem isn’t going away. It’s nice to spread awareness but it’s not going to change anything. Just don’t make videos about it and let’s pretend all is fine and well
onlyfangs is one of the worst things to happen to classic in a long time outside of RMT
I agree with the situation with buying gold as I also have friends with 4 characters allready with max gear..... I am not against boosting as I never bought gold and always farmed it myself. Sometimes i just want to spend it and play another class so i use boosting for some specific levels for example 40-44 as I dislike the Desolace and STV Lands as i get camped by level 60. So as a person farmed alone some gold i like to spend it for few levels, but I am totally disagreeing on the Gold buying as what is the point in getting all of the gear instant on every char. As a person paying for consums for the Raids it's very expensive to be a normal person without buying and getting all of the cosums for the Raids.
I'm too afraid to lose my account. But I totally get it when it comes to buying gold. I'm tempted, but even a small chance of a ban is too much for me.
This is a "devils circle" (idk if you would call that in english). There is a Problem now for Goldfarms like that has been in Retail. The Gold per Hour atm is so low that its hard to afford Stuff . For Example i filled up my Consumables for the Raid (i guess this will last max 2 Weeks) and payed around 400 Gold (without flasks). Herbs getting you maybe 50g/Hours if you're lucky with all the Bots + its a mega Server so more ppl are Farming anyways all the time (i had 3 -5 layers up while i was farming at 4 in the morning... never had a second layer up in 2019). Sure you could argue that consums will change with the price of their ingredients but there are other stuff that wont. Libram's, Boe's, Echanting fee's , recipies or static stuff like Epic mounts etc.. I can get behind ppl that are buying gold in that circumstances (i myself would never do it) cause for most its not "paying to not play" more like paying to play the Stuff you like in the amount of time you have. I would have had gladly skipped my "Hoj farm experience". That 143 runs nearly made me quit. But otherwise if ppl keep buying gold, nothing will change so everyone who bought Gold should never blame Blizz for not banning enough cause you guys support bots aswell.
I don’t get the hate on this stuff, games not competitive, just let people enjoy the game the way they want to. If you enjoy the grind, enjoy the grind… if you just wanna be powerful quick and easy, be powerful quick and easy…. If you wanna rp bdsm in goldshire in, rp kink
Permanent account ban with appeal process is the only solution.
Luckily, I quit the new servers.
Just waiting for the new Turtle WoW server to come out so I can get my Wow fix
Yeah, I bought loads of gold and accounts from the admins on Turtle Wow. I'm having a blast.
what new turtle server?
I put classic fresh on the side burner, sod is my main squeeze now. It is far too time consuming and toxic right now. People advertising ony ms>os and then when you whisper them they say “just so you know the blood fang helm is reserved.” I tell em to f off and just get ignored. These people are insufferable. I’m in full t2 now and cleared Kara for the first time yesterday. Only been playing about 3 weeks. My hunter 2 shots people in bgs, most fun I’ve had in a while.
I am not saying you are wrong but you are also speakingly incredibly speculatively. It is really hard to know how somebody gets their gold unless you basically monitor their play time. It would be nice to see some actual figures on this.
It’s just demotivating. I’ve put a lot of work in planning I’ve done pretty well with investments. But when I look at the state of this I feel demotivated because someone who has been semi afk since day one could be sitting on more gold and items than me by just swiping the credit card. It feels like this game has changed for ever and it’s pretty sad to see whats going on. It’s just demotivating.
Sorry I don’t mean to sound demeaning or anything but thank you for bringing this to our attention/reporting this but if it’s so bad why continue playing/making content? You should make some more Twow content to get the leftover classic peeps to find a new home instead of classic vanilla bot fest.
Yeah this is crazy. Bans need to be way longer. I'd guess 35-40% buy gold at some point. Maybe more.
There also a lot of player like me that just know how to get all the things that are needed in classic. But you are right even in the guild im in now we have gold buyers and nobody seems to even care. We only had 1 in 2019 and he got banned so often that he quit before aq lol.
IMO its WAY worse on alliance than horde. Or at least more noticable. Alliance side chat is 99% boost spam, horde is at least closer to 60/40 with lots of people still doing runs and talking
I'd play WoW if Blizzard did something about this. RMTs totally kill the spirit of the game for me.
quite tempted to quit now ngl. Maaybe start turtle i dunno, sad state of my mby favorite game
You won't regret coming across to turtle wow. It's better than anything blizzard has done
Theres a ton of good Games. Not Like this shit
same thoughts man
Already quit. Private servers have better moderation and cheat detection than Blizzard.
I wish people wernt so adverse to playing on a private server, getting like a 5k pop on a private vanilla server would be amazing.
@@WafflesTheFoxy i think you are talking about Turtle wow server, right? lol right now it has 6k players average
@netofrts referring in pservers in general.. there are a lot more than twow. Most suffered from population issues.
@@WafflesTheFoxy yes but why would I worry about the others if twow has a lot of players and is the best =D
@@netofrts6k is not a lot of players.
Glad I got out when I did, just horrible, this is what the community is now cheaters and wasters for the easiest version of the game.
Sad
Brother, it’s ok to take a moment to breathe when talking.
I wonder why peps are playing a corrupted game and pay for it when they can play Turtle wow for free. No BOTs, no cheat and efficiency.
Back to servers that shall not be named.
i bought gold and got banned for two weeks, i dont think banning ppl for buying gold is good bc it doesnt solve the issue why ppl are buying gold I have farmed gold for ages before i started buying it i just got tired of competeing with bots to get gold while bots ruin the prices. i farmed with bots in classic tbc for fast flying and didnt buy gold untill wotlk, these days i think players that dont buy gold are chumps exept ppl making money with services etc because they are scambling for resources that you can sell for only hyper deflated prices since theres thousands of bots farming that resource at this moment
the game would die if they started perma-banning gold buyers
i sell like 800g a day and that shit gets sold INSTANTLY, i can only extrapolate that there's thousands if not millions being spent every day on gold across all servers
You know something that fascinates me every single time there's a re-release it always surprises me when people are shocked when this type of thing happens I called this before the server is launched this was gonna happen it's always going to happen gold buying is now commonplace in any version of wow ironically enough I think the version where it matters the least is cataclysm/monitor which is kind of humorous.
I have a lot to say but I'm going to give the short answer first what's the percentage of people buying gold on classic wow as a whole I think it varies on the version sod 40% anniversary/era 60-75% cata/modern That's not the token 25-30% Now yeah if we include the token I will admit it is a lot more.
But like or not is there a select amount of people that do want to play the old game and do the grind yeah there are but like it or not it's not 2004 anymore and people play games different on top of that like it or not classic wow is solved there's nothing new to explore there's nothing new to learn it's solved and like even said in the video I already did the granite I don't want to do it again.
Yeah what a surprise on top of that people have it mastered now in 2019 people were still really gained a graft on the most efficient ways to farm yeah sure there was the private server scene there was a standpoint to it but when you put that in mainstream media it's something very different it's become commonplace is a better way to say it.
on top of that I would make the argument if blizzard did ever been all the Bots I'm not convinced that the server would really hold up it's better than era for sure but honestly to get the type of classic experience that everyone says they want blizzard would have to make a brand new game aka wow 2 my own personal take I think that's what they're going to do after last night but anyway.
People say they want that grind and there is a select people that do and then there's everyone else that say they wanted and what they really mean is no I actually just want to skip to the end and pump as far as you say it makes you sad that people skip content well that's because like it or not there's a lot of content in classic wow that sucks and boring you may not want to hear it but it's true.
attunements are boring grinding your pre-bus in a lot of ways is boring after you've run Ubers for the 20th time to get your second dolls you kind of start to get sick of it and because there's no catch up at all a problem that sod/cata doesn't have by the way or modern doesn't have by the way different games yes but it adds to the point.
on top of that people just don't have the time that they used to goodness knows I don't and you say the community well I'm not saying this is everybody but Wow's Community does have a lot of good people but there's a lot of toxic people to and honestly I don't think it's as 50/50 As people claim.
and that's for a lot of reasons part of its design part of it the mentality of gaming as a whole there's a lot of reasons but ultimately classic wow is a solved game and until blizzard puts out something new aka wow 2 this is kind of going to be the status quo like it or not.
I'm having loads of fun on anniversary.
nice guild, I'm just spamming dungeons to level my priest healer
you sound a bit surprised? people have been paying for boosts either by buying gold or paying some people to level their chars for years.. i personally never did but still, i know plenty of guild mates that did and they did so in sod, som, fresh, tbc, wotlk, cata. how do you think laty (just an example) had new chars ready for new gdkp's during tbc on a weekly basis while streaming raids 24/7? theres people in poor countries leveling your char from 1 to max for about 100 bucks
As much as I hate botting situation, I don't mind people buying gold, especially through legit way if Blizzard offers.
here is the truth about Classic player base... most of us are about 30 years old or over, most of us have 9-5 jobs and families to support. we might have some extra money to spend on our favorite game but we no longer have that time to grind. I hope Blizzard never issue a ban on gold buyers. BTW I don't buy golds and not 60 yet...
BTW, right after this comment, I started farming some gold. I barely managed to pick up some herbs. 5 nodes in 20 mins
and in SOD you get gatekeeped by Gearscore ;D
Gate keeping in WoW should become against ToS. It ruins player retention and social space. It also creates problems like this with players trying to get ahead to create their own gates and keep others out just like they were once before.
Just like GDKPs we need to ban this kind of behavior.
Easy fix drop a wow token in classic
And on the sidenote, stop at TBC and allow us to just keep playing there. No need to move on after TBC.
Its more like 15-30 stockades, 30-51 mara and then pick between strat, st or lbrs
Blizzard will need to sell their own level 58 boosting before TBC so RMT boosting has to be legal, lol
You can't go against the will of the free market. If you have someone willing to pay for goods and services and someone willing to receive payment for providing them, its the natural economic order. Let the people play however they want.
LOL phone games companies figured this out.
They could stop allowing trading between people who havnt been friends for a week, and to guildies without being in the guild for a week. Problem solved
Not really. Will just delay payment for 7 days.
Just ban the gold buyers permanent same as you would ban cheaters permanent in other games.
Didnt buy any gold. Aoe farmes mage in spellcleave and solo zf to 60. Got epic mount, made a warrior shes 55 now all boosted paid for with just farming zf at like 75g/h in 40mins. Made a horde mage too shes 54 and full boosted a shammy to 53 with this 2nd mages gold.
Honestly level a mage if you never did, do zf gy farm its so easy short pull and killphase and you can average like 2h per lvl on your alt at most while fully boosting to 60 including the 1h at zf then 1h boosted.(at low lvl ofc even better like 75 lasts a bunch of lvls at 10-30 and 1-2 at sm
I like aoe farming rather than tedious questing or constant new groups so this way time to level is equal for all alts and i do what i enjoy
Ohyea also got rank10 cause yea instance bug downtime av been wild
I think it has alot to do with how lazy this generation is they dont want to have to work for anything even if its in a game
SOD was the same. Dont forget lol. Retail was terrible also with the brutosaur and blackmarket.
I am shocked... Said no one.
