LC used to play insanely creative bullet on Internet Chess Club .... around 15 years ago ... wonderful mating attacks. Don't know if he's still around under another handle anywhere.
If this is how GM ‘s think while they’re playing , one would come to the conclusion that their moves have an element of randomness . I have doubts that this is an accurate portrayal of their thought process… but what do I know .
I think it is sort of accurate to how they think. For example, look at expert chess streamers who verbalize live games and sometimes they have the same tendency to describe plans but then decide to pursue some other idea that arose out of the blue.
@@josueramirez7247 That is true . But the difference would seem to be that streamers are speaking extemporaneously whereas GMs playing a game have time to actually calculate and should be more concrete in their analysis.
Why did they pan out and take the board off the screen. We already know what they look like we want to see the moves. We missed a bunch of moves. Whoever took the board off the screen is not good at their job. Can someone link to this game so I can see it it played.
Love Larry's commentary!
It's refreshing to hear commentary without computer lines
A thousand thank you for uploading these.
My favourite in the Master series. Entertaining commentary by Larry C, and a good swindle from Nigel.
thanks for the videos! incredible content!
Fantastic content
LARRY CHRISTIANSEN IS HILARIOUS
Nice format
how did I get here! Christiansen made my day, LOL
I played Short in a Simul in Ashton-U-Lyne, Manchester about 12 years ago. Well, he played, I just folded after about 16 moves
😂😂😂
Thank you!
5:07 That was a great save on the 'Oh...flip'
Wow. Short couldn't even hide his teeth while he smiled during the game!
"........that smug look on his face ! "
Being as strong as he was at that age there’s a reason why he was smug.
I had to look up the position via Chessbase and this game occurred in London in 1981 when Christiansen was rated 2585 and Short at 2430.
I wonder what happened to those huge pieces?
which tournament?
He or she or whatever 😂😂😂

Larry so cocky in the middle game with his demeaning commentary then Nigel wastes him and he has to eat his words. 😂
Christiansen was a great player but Short turned out to be even greater - defeated Karpov in a match!
Should have played the knuckle sandwich, Nigel would fold like a cheap suit.
Very funny comment - "...not too honest LC."
What was wrong with Ng3 forking king and rook

0:24 Did they really hang the German flag upside down? xD
Same with the Union Jack!
True, haha!

In fact they are showing a different game in between, where Black plays …Ba6xf1 and white responds Ke1xf1 😂
This is the youngest Short i have ever seen!
There's footage of him playing Karpov in a simul ca. 1976
I played against him in a simultaneous display when he was 15 and I was about 10. I lasted about 12 moves :)
