It's amazing how you can hear a song without immediate translation, and feel its impact. When I first saw the MV and continue to see it, I get emotional. It hits so much harder when you know what they have been through. It's a song of resilience. 💜

Jimin was singing the lyrics, the high harmony (the chorus up to 'anymoreee') whilst Jin in the background at the sustained high notes. If it's that piercing, raw, AND IT'S G5 it's usually him. He usually does HIDDEN, isolated, powerful, RAW, and SUSTAINED F5-G5 notes like in Dionysus, Crystal Snow, and even in their ad 'With Seoul MV'. Jimin can do it too, for sure! In one of their videos, I think that was during BE album promotions, Jimin said his Jin hyung has the highest vocal range in the team. Also there's a compilation of JK, jimin, and hobi praising Jin's high range. Usually during JK's lives, he stops singing when it's Jin's part.😅
Jin has more rawness to his belt, and the particular high note is usually this sustained, it's usually hidden and far off in the track. Usually in the background.

The vocals in this song are all incredible!! 💜 They all sound awesome. And people seem to assume that the super high notes are always Jimin. But Jin’s range, belting and high notes are so beautiful and impressive. 🎶🥰🎶 Give him credit please!! He’s AMAJIN!!🤩 and he seems to get overlooked a lot. 😢

I am 72. I was 13 when the Beatles hit the USA. I have seen and heard the mega stars since the 1960s but I have never known a group of artists that where more explicitly grateful to their fans as BTS. While others acknowledge their fans but they do not elevate and credit their fans as BTS does ARMY. The first time I heard and saw this video, I ended up in tears-- I still get misty when I hear it.

@@Btsmylife816. you need to take your own advice and go watch the live performances lol I recommend the PTD on Stage in Seoul, Day 3 where you can see Jimin singing a line of the chorus and NOT this high note. The note is not sung live by Jin and is part of the recorded track that plays with the song, but it is his voice.
At 13:58 the purple lights are in the pattern of the crowd when they performed at Wembley Stadium, which is where the fans sang Young Forever!! Also the high note in the background is Jin he does the high adlibs in most of their songs!!

The purple lights that help save RM from drowning are ARMY. The black wave that washes over JK is a reference to something called a "black ocean". It's when a K-pop group performs and, for whatever reason, everyone in the audience turns off their light sticks. Instead of a sea of stars/lights, they only see an expanse of darkness. BTS was subjected to a black ocean twice in their early days. When they stand in a circle facing out, that's a reference to the song, Born Singer. When they stand in a line right after that, Hobi is holding a trophy and they're all crying. That's a reference to the MAMA 2018 speech when they admitted that they had almost disbanded in early 2018 and most of them broke down in tears. When Suga first appears, he's holding that injured left shoulder. J-Hope is locked in a box, struggling to break out of it. These are just some of the Easter eggs in this video. When BTS dropped this video right in the middle of the lockdown, during Festa, damn near every ARMY all around the world ended up in tears while watching it for the first time. Emotional is an understatement.

Some references which I would like to share. It's long but I hope you guys will enjoy learning the story behind this masterpiece.
The video begins with the RM from Persona and facing his younger self at the time of his debut.
The next scene is of Jungkook passing through the No More Dream set.
Written on the pillar next to Jungkook is written 'BTS SOLO' meaning BTS was a solo project ( the time when Bang PD asked RM to choose solo or BTS)
The “For Sale” Logo…
BTS bought “FOR SALE“-clothes, as they couldn’t afford anything at its high price in the beginning. They had used “ForSale” in their t-shirt because the clothes they donned in their debut Mv were bought in the sale.
Another reference for it says “For Sale” label on their arms shows that’s how companies saw them, as an investment and product. That’s why they look sad. And those flying papers are the offers Jungkook got from different companies but he chose to walk as Jungkook of BTS.
The next is,
They reminisce about the iconic scene of V glasses flick from No More Dream MV.
And ofcourse the Black Ocean Wave refrence:
The black wave which is following Jungkook and covered him, represents the black ocean wave that BTS received back in 2013-2016. All fans turning off their lightsticks in every awarding show when it’s BTS time to perform.
In the next scene, Yoongi in the sailor uniform walking trembly while holding his hand references the incident that happened when he was a trainee.
BTS riding the whale is the most important scene of Mv. It tells the actual story behind their song Whalein 52. It indicates the time when BTS struggled to have their voices heard in the industry and their hardships since the debut.
The most lonely creature whale in the vast ocean they were talking about in Whalien 52 is the one that cannot be heard at first and the one who sings and dreams non-stop in the blind. But it has raised out of the ocean and burst into thousands of violet lights around them which represents the ARMY that has brought BTS to the top.
And finally the logos.
When the way all ARMY was confused about why BTS has changed its logo back in 2017. It was just they don’t need a Bulletproof vest anymore…The doors have opened and we reached the ocean.
This is why this song is very important and special for us.

I only became ARMY this year, and yet without having fully gone into boralore I got teary listening to this song for the first time even without lyric translations - it's a testament to their production and voices that someone who had only just started to go down the rabbit hole could feel so much emotion without knowing the history behind this song. It's one of my favourites 💜
I was 6-months into the rabbit hole and bawled over MOTS7 tracks, esp WABTE. I always feel let down when reactors who’ve been on the journey some time already do not connect nor catch the references.

WOB: The Eternal never fail to make me cry. I was watching while tears kept streaming. I just can’t still fathom how these seven men made my life so much brighter and colorful. This is one of my ultimate favorite BTS & ARMY song. Goosebumps are still all-over even though I watched it a million times. 💜 Whenever I listen to this kind of BTS song, I can’t help but admire them even more and can’t wait for what the future holds when BTS and ARMY meet again. 🤧

The part that starts with V saying 'Tell me your every story, tell me why you don't stop this' always gets me crying. Never have I heard artists being this grateful for the fans. True stars!
I'll never forget how I felt when this song dropped. So emotional. For a while I didn't listen to it often because it just made me tear up so much. It's such a special song. The part where Jin says "tell me why you're still walking with us", ahhh it gets me every time😭😭 There's so many references in the mv that you won't catch yet that makes it even more impactful and emotional.
For the first 3 months after this came out I could only listen to about 1/4 of the song before I would start crying uncontrollably so it took me 3 months to slowly work my way through the entire song before I could listen to it in it’s entirety without being a mess. If you know what the boys have had to go through to get to where they are today there is no way you wouldn’t get emotional with this song.

BTS has officially and emotionally made me a mess and a wreck, i already burst into tears when i hear it now i cant stop crying
This song is just so beautiful and emotional that everytime i watch the mv i get goosebumps and shivers down my spine.
Also in my opinion the whale that BTS are riding (then turns into millions of purple orbs) represent us Armys as we have taken them to places and heights they never thought was possible for a small company group, and it goes through some of their most memorable MVs to the 2018 MAMA awards show where they spoke about almost disbanding to seeing a door opening for them to go thru then they end it with the Boy With Liv era as the still have the ON era to go trough with us Armys.
Usually the higher notes are Jin and Jimin... Listen to "Cristal Snow" so you have an idea, in that Jin goes higher but Jimin follows heheheh
There are so many high notes in this song and we know they all can go super high but if we are talking about super high , it's Jimin and Jin's voice. And in this particular song if you watched the live performance in their online concert, Jin and Jimin sing their high notes live with perfection. I know people are saying only Jin did all the high notes but that's not true. Yes Jin did hit the high notes but it's not only him, Jimin did that too. But yes, this song is atleast for me , it's like reminder and conformation that no matter what happened in our lives, BTS and Army have each other forever. It's like when we have no one there to share our hearbreaks and our hardships or problems, BTS is always there to have our backs and comfort us. 13:22 yes the second half is jungkook. You should watch it live you can definitely tell the difference in their very live falsettos… it’s gorgeous. Jungkook sings the chorus the whole time and the other vocalists sing with him at different times but a lot of it is jungkook and jimin. That high note on the background sounds a bit like it’s an elongated shorter note but it’s hard to tell if it’s jimin or Jin… but Jin is our belting king so who knows lol

As one of the OG 2013 fans, I remember seeing the promos for them from an article that just popped up and it intrigued me because it was going to be my very first kpop band I got to witness be up and coming (EXO technically was first but I didnt get to witness their debut until a couple months later so it didn't really count in my book) so I clicked on it and saw the pictures of each one, and V and just been "released" because he was the newest and last, as we all know. I remember thinking, "Wow, they all look amazing, and they're gonna go places!" Looking at the debut date, it was only a week away, and I was so excited to watch the MV, I was ready to go! First time I watched No More Dream, I was amazed and shocked, not upset or put off by it shocked but more like energized and hyped shocked, it was so cool to witness! I was a little too into a group called U-KISS so I was still watching the MVs as they released to show my support as much as possible, but it wasn't until Run/NEED U era that I was fully able to put every second of my attention on them (U-KISS was disbanding or changing at the time, something like that and it was sad for me).
When this video released, because I was actually about to see them in concert in April of 2020 as a birthday present from my sister (spoilers: Covid happened) but once it was cancelled I was DEVASTED. Then Festa arrived and they released this MV and I instantly cried. Seeing their journey from the very beginning, watching them grow up both emotionally and physically, I was so proud and happy, sad to miss my only highest chance of seeing them in concert, nostalgic. No matter what, whenever I watch this MV or hear this song, high chance you will see me sob my eyes out. I love being ARMY💜

There are 3 parts that make me tear up in this song everytime. 1. Suga holding his arm as if to signify the pain he went through along their journey 2. RM falling into the Black Ocean ( Black Ocean is a popular trend, where the audience turn off their light sticks and phones to demonstrate a lack of support) He floats to the surface only with the help of Army. 3. Jin singing "Why you still walking, walking with us??" Gets me everytime!!!! This song always reminds me that I'm ApoBangpo for life!!

This song holds special place in my heart
they sang this on the MOTS online concert but they only got to sing this once live in front of ARMY in ONE of the PTD concerts in LA on day 1. I was very fortunate enough to be there and witness it myself. I cried my eyes out as soon as I heard it and it has become a core memory for me.
