this is definitely something i intend to pick up. i sort of had to get good quickly at hide glue preparation and seam closing when i bought my Jaquet but i know there's a TON of great info in this book. great to hear Arnold talk about it! re: using an extension to eliminate wolf tones, i remember working up the Bach violin concerto excerpt on my old bass and setting the extension closer to C# made all the difference in the world in string response/wolf elimination. good stuff!
