My good friend who is like a sister to me, is originally from Poland & left as an adult after school & grad school. She taught me years ago that Polish & many Europeans always bring gifts when visiting friends & family, even if visit is brief ie just for the day or evening. We marveled (& sometimes still learn a new similarity!) at how many similarities exist between Polish & Phil cultural practices. I had travelled to Europe before we met, but I didn’t realize the entrenchment of the gift giving practice of Europeans until after we became friends decades ago. She even brings gifts for the pets when they visit us. She told me flowers are the most common gift in Poland. Then I thought to my self later, d’oh! It is like the royalty, whenever Princess Diana or now Princess Kate visits,, she is always greeted with a bouquet….
P.s. ty for the vlog. I enjoyed seeing your daughter especially, she is sweet. The vlogs from Latvia have been great, such a beautiful homeland. I liked the views from the train when you rode to ur sister’s hospital. This is a blunt suggestion, but I’m gonna put it out there. Calvin has a great smile & has super references. As you are friends with Susie, maybe you could introduce her sister in law, Joanna, & he?! She is Jonathan’s younger sis. I don’t kno if she is still single, but she was in past. She is also a sweet & intelligent lady. I don’t know her but I’ve watched her on Susie’s vlogs for years.

She also went with Susie to some religious processions/parades, S’s first time , I think it was Holy Week this year…& in the recent baby news announcement Jonathan’s mom & sis are featured briefly.

I want to tell you the truth that when Gilas Vs Latvia the game was very good and enjoyable we appreciated Latvian as a Proffesional Players, meaning a clean way of playing.. but in contrary to Georgia, Filipinos didn't like what Georgia Team Played they are dirty Player very unprofessional.. and the referees they cheat the Gilas that's why the Gilas Coach complain with the OQT Committee.
