- Coming up on a milestone birthday (the big 5-0!), viewer Wendy was ready for a seriously epic makeover, courtesy of celeb hair stylist Ted Gibson.
I think shopping thrift is amazing and you should never change that. So many clothes go to waste and in the trash when they should be exchanged. So amazing!

I love her hair! I'm just wondering why, when she said she loved a bohemian style in terms of clothing, they would put her in such a staid outfit. They could have shown her a more structured and purposeful bohemian style instead of schoolmarm.

All she needed was hair treatments for her dry curls, maybe a trim to get rid of split ends. Curly hair is beautiful but it requires a lot of care for it to look bouncy and hydrated.

@@gailnel8812 there’s nothing wrong having long hair at any age. It’s up to the person. Before covid hit I would get my hair done. Since covid hit I haven’t had cut over two years. I love my long hair.

Long hair is gorgeous. It does take work, but it's not in need of a make over. My hair is down past my hips and I love it that way. You want a change, fine. But saying that long hair needs a make over just because it's long is untrue and laughable.

Thoroughly disappointed they didn't work with her curls.
She was gorgeous before and didn't need a makeover. She's still pretty but I liked the before better. The good thing is that hair can grow back.

her urls were gone...not cool. ?Her hair is just beautiful i wish my culy hair was that long! Trying to grow for 4 years now but so hard....
Hair bonnets when you sleep (can get them on Amazon) and try to stop blow drying as much as possible! I shower in the evening, let it air dry then put some leave-in conditioner on the middle and ends and stick it in my hair bonnet. Also, always be very gentle with it, especially when wet and always start brushing it from the bottom up. I’ve finally got mine to start growing more! Last time I went for a trim, she only had to “frost” it as I had almost no split ends! After 3 months! 😁

Hair color did not work with her complexion. Shorter hair was an improvement, but hair color choice actually aged her, brought attention to lines in her face.

I love my long hair and I actually find it easier as it’s more forgiving when styling.
Wigs made with real hair are alot of work. you have to wash condition blow dry and curl it. But wigs made with artificial hair are easy. Wash in sink once week. No styling comb out n go. If a person is on chemo and sick they dont want to take the time to care for real hair wigs.
I had my hair that long until recently. But keeping it knot free was a drag. It's still long but not as long but knots are still sometimes a problem. Maybe I should go shoulder length too.

That's sort of hair can look good long but requires considerable maintenance eg a nice trim or maybe some layers cut into it for style, perhaps a colour....If one is going to have such hair long, it is best worn up, with a few curly tendrils hanging don the side of the face. But in this case, she shorter hair does suit her better.More bounce and volume etc.

The hair does not go to donations it goes to beauty shops and they sell it for weaves for women's hair! It is what a hairstylist told a friend of a friend of mine. I hate that they straightened her hair they should have left it curly! I can't stand that dress either it looks very old fashioned!
She looks really good but instead of changing her curls they should have defined them. Embrace those curls!!!
While the 'After' looks nice, it's common - now she just looks generic. I like her 'Before' Bohemian look better.

just shaking my head. They cut it off AND straightened it. Why not just cut off the dry dead ends and give it some lift with long layers. It's like everyone gets the SAME haircuts.
Her donated hair probably went to an expensive wig, if that. I know donated hair for cancer patients can't be dyed or bleached. Pretty sure her hair had highlight or lightened on the bottom.
Liked her old look...this make over doesn’t suit her. Loved her Bohemian style clothes...and her curly hair. Yes...she needed a trim..but that would have been enough. Rachael why don’t you have a make over?

looked much better with her natural colour and curls which only needed a good treatment and refreshing and they should have cut about 20-25 cm of it. i'm sorry but she looks way older now, the colour is awful & doesnt suit her (colour analysis). thanks god hair grow back, and colour can be changed.
Just because people are so annoying and pushy about donating their hair, it makes me not want to do it even more. I dont go around telling people they should go donate their kidney.

Thank you for defending us women who wants to keep long hair. I was told by some people to keep my hair long; to never cut it (when they saw my hair down). I already planned that before people told me they want my hair to stay long. I never dyed my hair in my life. It's staying natural. I don't believe in dying it. Never have. My hair is now a littlepast the tailbone, but not much when wet. I am 37 years old until May 6. Even though I am 37, people had said that I look like I'm 25, or around there, but in 20's. My hair is up constantly. Rarely down.

This is the first makeover i dont like!! Hair isnt right- too orange. Her waist isnt right with the belt. AND she likes colors. She comes out in a solid blue dress. Jeez- i liked her before photos alot more then the makeover.
