I miss the Opry when it was the Opry, and this was the kind of music performed there. If you ever get a chance to see the Grand Ladies in person...don't miss it...the songs are amazing and the stories are, too! Wilma Lee is gone now, but the others are still preforming and the show is always worth at least twice the price of admission.
Jean dominates without even trying. Her voice is so strong and has improved over the years, which is awesome because she was so good when she started. Love the rest of the ladies, too, esp. Connie Smith.
The female country legends of this group still alive today are Jeannie Seely Jeanne Pruett and Connie Smith-Stuart. Jean Shepherd ,Wilma Lee Cooper and most recently Jan Howard are gone from this earth and certainly missed.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm fan of Jimmy Capps and see Jeannie -and other Grand Ladies on the DVD'S Country's Family Reunion. Warmest wishes to uou all in Nasshville from France. Jo Luttringer
Both Lady's, Jean and Jeanee, Amazing entertainers. Each have their own particular gift and way they sing. I loved Jeans Voice, one hard to copy. Jeanee also has a voice like no other, you can always feel her music. Just love her

I've noticed that Jean Shepard puts her right hand behind her when she sings. Is there a reason she does this. Love her voice❤🎤🎶🎵🎼
