Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled On and Off Road Test Ride and First Impressions

I had the chance to check out the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled at this year's Touratech Rally and I did not hesitate to jump on and take it for a rip. Luckily, we were able to do a Desert Sled off road test ride as well as an on road test. This is a very fun machine!
On the road, the Ducati Scrambler is fun to ride and easy to handle. It carves up twisties and has good power but is manageable enough to ride around town.
When you get the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled off road, you really notice how stiff and capable the suspension is. A lot of people think the desert sled off road looks are 100% for show, but this is a surprisingly capable bike both on and off the road. The standing position is excellent and the off road traction control does a great job of knowing when you need traction and when you're purposely trying to lose it while powersliding and the like.
My initial Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled review is very positive, with a few caveats. This would not be my first choice for an off road bike, but the Ducati Scrambler off road is capable enough if you want to rip up some gravel roads on your way to a campsite. It's more off road capable than it seems and for the person who loves the scrambler aesthetic, you get a lot of on and off road motorcycle for the money.
