Yes totally agree with you... like this topic, there are many more issues with all workshops that they never use to check necessary points in car at the time of service..
Thanks Gagan for bringing this up. I have stopped throttle body cleaning since last five years. There is also ISA cleaning scam in Hyundai. Also ASC used to force engine flush which is stopped across Hyundai since last 2 years. Break cleaning and calliper pin greasing is also easy and can be done in 15-20 min with right tools. They charge consumables as 600 rs where as it need only 100 rs consumables. Full loot hay ASC service. Poor non tech guy would end up spending 8 k for car like i10 for normal service.
Very informative....maruti service center asked me for 1000 rs for 800 Alto. I caught them red handed by spray only small and then after back to Home i complained about them. They came to my home with new throttle body cleaner gave me one complementary wax polish For removing the complaint.

when you spary when it attach to car, all dust/carbon goes to intake manifold and as well as to spark plug and oxygen...
I try this method once after that i checked my spark plugs and oxygen sensor they all get dirty enough...
Nope, u r mistaken, throttle body spray cleaners are used wen engine is running and dust and carbon will go into engine combustion cahmber and burn it off. Oxygen sensor is in exhaust of car and it will be dirty anyways. Only thing u should be worried is engine rpm should be above 2k so it will burn off.

It's better to remove TB and clean it thoroughly : that also avoids all the dissolved deposits going IN to the intake. On some cars like my vw, it's needed to relearn the TB full, close and half positions. This can either be done by opening and closing throttle few times without ignition or through a scanner. BTW TB clean is not usually suggested in most service manuals

Some mechanics open the whole throttle body and then clean it with petrol. I guess the charge rs 800 for opening throttle body and cleaning it. But yes this has to be done when your throttle body is in very bad shape and it is not possible to clean it from just a spray.

Yes, throttle body scam is prevalent. and service centre are charging unnecessarily....In fact they are looting by creating fear of damage to car by not cleaning their throttle body from them.
Good knowledge but some throttle need proper cleaning and you have to open and clean properly many times when you direct spray to throttle body it’s dangerous for intake valve car will start missing. So better idea is you purchase throttle cleaning spray and give your car mechanic and clean by professional . This is just a good suggestion. Thanks 🙏

Never try to clean a throttle body if it's drive-by-wire...means if u cant open or close a throttle if d engine is off then its drive by wire wch open d throttle with d help of sensors...visual cues include if there is a manual cable(like motorcycle accelerator or clutch cable) wch u can pull to open d throttle thn it is safe to clean by urself..

Do not go for injector cleaning until and unless your car having problem
If needed do it only on service centre authorised one

You cannt clean injector properly, you need a Mechanic to remove it and then one specialize machine vibrate them with petrol to clean it completely.
But you try with injector cleaner available in market, mix it with petrol in fuel tank and hope that injector got cleaned.

Gagan sir following you from last more than 1year, these types of videos are really helpful,,,got throttle body cleaned for the 1st time at 60k km of my Honda brio but didn’t felt any difference though paid about RS 2k which seems wasted also service centre was suggesting for injector cleaning please make a video on this as well
My recent hyundai excent service, they added throttle body cleaning and i paid around 2100 rs inclusive of GST. And after that car is running without accelerator pedal down. I gave them complaint, they says please bring and show it will see what can be the problem. Earlier it was fine , they created a problem and they are again going to repair it, loss of customer time and money. Hyundai service center, powai, mumbai. Service done on 1st aug 2020.

A throttle body is a valve located between the air intake filter and the intake manifold. It regulates how much air can go into the engine, based on driver input through the pedal. As more air flows into the engine, it injects more fuel, thus allowing for more power.

Warna jaisa ap bata rahe hai karne isme jo bhi khachra ya dhool hai woh bahar nhi nikal raha hai or engine k under ja raha hai
To jab bhi throttle saaf krye pura khool kare yahi sahi tarika hai 😊

Bhai meri spark car hai or wo 1or 2 gear tak to slow speed me झटका deti hai or mtlb ye hai ki jab hum 40 ya 50 ki speed se pe chalate hai to sahi chalti or no jhatke ye problem kewal petrol pe chalate hai tab hoti hai or jab accelerator ki speed ko ek jagah pe rakhte hai to speed apne aap kam jyada hoti hai or jab LPG pe chalate hai to koi problem nahi hoti hai chahe 1ya 2 ya 3 mtlb slow speed me chalao ya fast than no problem bas ye problem kewal petrol pe hi hoti hai
Gagan ji. RPM fluctuations happen during AC on in stationary as well so during check AC should off.

Regular Throttle body cleaning is also important specially for BSIV and BSVI vehicles otherwise the vehicle won’t clear pollution test. I will with my experience say that it should be done once a year.
Okay noted... but DBW system me ECU me TP reset aur idle relearn karna padta hai aur wo Authorized servic center ke siva nahi hota ... koi bhi dbw system wali car me ye DIY spray technique try na kare throttle body damage hone ka chance hai ... :)

Absolutely not but every 30 35k km you can add fuel additive for self cleaning of injector

recently i have cleaned myself the throttle body in my car. also i had observed that my intake manifold have carbon deposits in it.
my question is, can we completely remove the intake manifold and clean it.
if we can, can you suggest or make an video on that if possible.
I asked in Tata service centre if they will clean throttle body and MAF sensor as well during service or if I ask them to. The SA refused. Also in the owner's manual service schedule there is no mention of throttle body anywhere. I checked Tiago's and Nexon's user manual. This most likely means that Tata does not recommend any service/cleaning/touching of the throttle body. Timely change of air filter should suffice.

I purchased 2012 model petrol wagonar in seconds In neutral condition RPM is varying 1-3 without applying acceleration. That time some oil burning smell coming near by the engine. I take it to one garage. They said that, due to throttle problem, the RPM is varying and the car give low mileage and it will turn into a big problem. So immediately need to service that. So they collected 8,000/- rupees for that. Now RPM is in constant condition. How can I know that my car problem?? Can you please send reply

Mene service centre me bike ka throtal body clean karvaya, usne petrol se clean Kiya and clean karne ke baad gadi barbar band pad raha hai, service centre wala bol raha hai 25-30 km chalo bike normal hojayega..... Aapko kya lagta hai throtal body clean karvane ke baad thode time Tak problem aata hai??

Throttle body cleaner ki jgah other solvents can also be used... isopropyl alcohol for example

@@sardhontimung6031 you can use anything as long as you don't let too much of it go inside. For eg you can wet the cloth with kerosene wipe it off with a brush (toothbrush inside the cloth)

I have a hyundai i10 sportz. when I stop the the car redlight & breaker, then i pressed the clutch and shift the gear change 4 to 2 gear. Then my Car suddenly engine off and show the all meter light. My car is Cng & petrol version. And i have already 3 time cleaning Throttle body in my car and RPM OK. This problem is not a petrol but this problem is only running in cng. Please Can you suggest me. I am waiting for your feedback & response.
Swift desire 2014,till today MAP,MAF SENSORS and EGR not cleaned,runs 1,72,000 kms. Now there is no problem,just little bit pick up lag.
