One minor critique.
Checking to see if a deck is ok to come back to full power is kind of meaningless if it's being built to the spec it was at when it got hit.
See how it would go with todays card pool + the limited card/s at 4
I'd agree. The plan is to start with these decks using lists from their formats. Then progressing to FULL power versions using the current card pool.
It would absolutely play the SOC base now
The whole reason alpha played Kongu was to beat sec con as it will cover all of the ways to remove there digimon.
Love the series. Can't believe no one else has done a beyond broken.
Man that last game was free for Alpha he really massively misplayed that turn. Could have easily gain 2 more memory from all these sequences (never put the XAnti option under anything), not use Yuji since he wasn't needed he could have dropped deathX earlier for free to make the RapidX actually rever back to an angewo. But most importanly, just turn Grumble into a DoruGreymon to play around the freaking Shine Burst that he was thinking about (either use XAnti under ouryuken to gain 1 more memory despite all the misplays, or just use it under grumble to evo on attack into Doru).
All in all I liked this kind of video a lot, really fresh. But I would probably cut the length of it in half to test how the old shell would play today, then the other half of the runtime to be used for an updated version.
And as we can see, Doru back is 100% a mistake
I already knew before I clicked on this that Dorugrey at 4 was going to do some nasty things. Now just throw some trainings and some of the new support in there, swap out some options, and the matchup gets much harder. Definitely can’t come back to 4.

Breath was for mega death or bounce effects. Plus really good in security. Also were you running magna armor at full power, alpha should also be using newer cards as well to really see how the restricted cards can be used

it would be interesting to see it with ukkos to speed up search and using mind link tamers in updated version. the new lvl 4s doru might help since it give dp + and the dex gives it reboot.
Full power yellow hybrid, but I honestly think it would have to use the new yellow hybrid support for it to really matter. It probably would get roflstomp otherwise

I'm going to try to work through every major deck that got ban hammered. There's at least 2 decks that use MDF. (It's never coming back lol)

One thing with alpha just so you don’t get punished by cards that remove sources always try and remove all as much sources as you can.
How is Paladin ACE doing checks at 24:50? He doesn't have piercing.

Why not do this same series but with the whole card pool? So all alpha cards plus 4 Dorugreymon.
I am going to start with deck lists from their respective formats pre-ban and then progress to where they can use all modern cards too.
Unban the cards and see how it does, if its just a bt9, if it loses its still up for debate
