i think this song is about that kind of relationship not necessarily having a bad partner but more like when you give your self to someone you love to the point where you forget who you are & what you want thinking this is how you show your love, it gets so toxic you have no choice but be left heartbroken. and then coming out of the heart break with this intention of never burying your self like that because thats not true love.
If you do not understand the meaning of Singularity very well or better said the lyrics, it is because this MV is more a representation of the character that Taehyung represents in the world of BTS theories, haha for me this is one of the most difficult MVs to interpret haha. To be able to interpret it you would have to see the original MV. but I have the following theories. 1. This theory is based on the play "Ophelia's wet death", written by William Shakspeare. Ofelia falls into the river while collecting the flowers and instead of trying to save herself, she begins to sing as if embracing death. She suffers from love disturbance, this refers to the part where Tae says '' I threw myself in the lake '' 2. The second theory I have is that Singularity (V) and Serendipity (Jimin) are related, that is, Singularity represents heartbreak, hell, and serendipity represents love, heaven, etc. If we remember the MV for blood sweat and tears, Taehyung represents a fallen angel, but the angel that was stripped from heaven, that is lucyfer. 3. As we know, Jin is the main character and the other 6 members represent Jin archetypes, Taehyung is the shadow archetype, so Taehyung tries to express to Jin everything he feels, since Jin constantly tries to suppress him. AAHHHH, this MV has many literary references, due to the masks, the lyrics, etc.
