Don't know if you read these comments, but pro tip for reactions: When a you pause a UA-cam video in a desktop browser, you can scroll through it frame by frame using the comma and period keys (provided you don't unfocus the video by clicking on something else). EDIT: It might also depend on whether frame-by-frame scrolling is enabled for the video by the uploader, so might not work on every video.

It's a great game. If you have a decent PC it should work pretty well. Being fully playable in VR is another bonus, and it blows Ace Combat 7's three VR missions out of the water (which is unfortunate since they had more missions but they weren't released). It even has modifiers (think skulls from Halo) that change gameplay. The mods are pretty cool, too. Replacing some planes, adding skins, changing some mechanics, even game-breaking weapon mods. The soundtrack is an absolute banger, too.

Jet "guns" are not the machineguns, in fact those are cannons which (on average) fire ~1500 rouns per minue, sending 30mm armor piercing/explosive/incendiary projectiles 400 grams each with the initial velocity of 900 meters per second, and that is only for fighter jets - attack aircrafts are carrying much more intimidating hardware which has those stats doubled and can pop tanks like a bubbles. So, yeah, getting hit by such burst prety much guarantees you're not going anywhere.
Usually it's 20-25mm (Vulcan is 20mm, Equalizer is 25mm), 30mm is more common on ground-attack planes. A round for a Vulcan cannon is 100 grams, the weight you're quoting is for the depleted uranium round the A-10 uses. The A-10 is not a fighter, weirdly enough.
I'm a bit biased because I'm a long time Ace Combat fan and PW is basically another AC game in all but name, but I legitimately cant think of something more fun than playing this in VR, using one of the super maneuverable planes with the Angle of Attack Limiter, and dogfighting while doing maneuvers that would realistically rip my plane apart because I'm doing back flips at Mach 2 all while tracking enemies by actually moving my head around like a real pilot. It's utter insanity and I love it to bits.
No offense, but that mic pop is killing me. Given the background noise, I assume the issue exacerbated with the mic gain - it's set way too high. I don't know the setup you are running, but, assuming that your v-avatar is motion synced, clicking is the result of not having the pop filter on the mic. If you don't have access to one, making one with two-three layers of fabric (literally, your own sock will do). Remember the rule of d-long, d-long - you need the distance of the length of your D between the mic and pop filter and between pop filter and your mouth.
