Thanks. Today, my cat was following the mouse pointer around, so I put this on. She watched hard for about 10 minutes, then went outside.. (cue 'Jaws' music). After eight years of carnage (I love birds) I FINALLY figured out that if I just feed her up & keep her on the fat side, she's way slower. Many birds would probably have been saved, including a cardinal I'd just befriended: (. It might be a bit worse for her health, but it's a lot better for theirs. She stays plump from now on.
After watching attentively for a long time, bobbing his head as he was following the birds and squirrels on the screen, and trying to touch them on the scree, my big Bengal cat tried to find them behind the computer screen, LOL. He looked very surprised when he couldn't find them.
The camerawork and settings were nice, and the characters had real chemistry together, but the plot was thin at times and had several unexplained gaps in the story. Also, a film like this deserves a Shyamalan twist.
That was my original vision of the project, but I made a big mistake by giving veto power to the squirrel over the script. If you have ever tried to reason with a drunk squirrel, you will understand why things turned out as they did. I still have vivid terrifying flash backs of him screaming in his thick Czech accent.
Do you know what bird is doing that double 2-note + trill (I hear it in 1st segment). I loved seeing the grosbeak -- what state is this? We live in Oregon, but spent a couple years in West Virginia (thus the cardinal, R.I.P.).
I had to do some editing. You would be surprised how much trouble I had keeping him sober. I still have vivid flashbacks about him swearing at me with his thick Czech accent.
It is a red squirrel. In other related videos there are gray squirrels, and black squirrels which are thought to be gray squirrels. The video that seems to be watched for the longest time is conflict at the seed pile. My estimate is that cats like the videos for 5 minutes.
thank you for posting this. our cat FrenchFry watches this closely, cocking her head from side to side. I like it too! Relaxing....

My cat watched this for solid 10 minutes with me mostly skipping to the bird parts which are her favorite. Thanks for uploading this video!
My three cats are now obsessed with the TV. Great distraction for indoor cats! They are addicted!
+Stefanie Schmid I post them about once a month. My newer ones are better. You should also show them conflict at the seed pile.

The average is about 4 minutes. I have a number of them posted. The one that keeps their attention span the longest is conflict at the seed pile.
My kitten just curled up right next to the bird on the screen, licked the screen and then proceeded to fall asleep cuddling up the the screen :/
my cat did not watch... but I did

Our cat loves this video--thanks for uploading it! Curiosity, though: Is it just me, or does that squirrel have the hiccups? x)
I had to do some editing. You would be surprised how much trouble I had keeping him sober. I still have vivid flashbacks about him swearing at me with his thick Czech accent.
